Before the appearance of the system message, Corey heard a soft hum through his Ears of Omniscience.

It was extremely faint, and Corey would have missed it if not for how silent his surroundings and even the world around him was quiet.

Almost like it couldn't believe that he had won against Eidolon, and Corey knew that this was strangely the case.

He was not meant to have been able to kill Eidolon, especially as a Mortal.

But he had done it.

And the world was shaken.

A ding resounded before him, and he felt the world pause for a second.

A semi-transparent blue-gold panel slowly materialized before Corey's eyes, and he was slightly surprised at the appearance of the screen because it was unlike what he was used to.

It felt... luxurious?

Corey could not place his hands on it, but this was how it felt.

Rows of rapidly changing words and symbols appeared on the screen for a fraction of a second, and a normal individual would not have been able to comprehend what he had seen, but through Record and his Stars of Consciousness, he was able to piece together what he saw.

Corey's blurred vision sharpened slightly as he stared at the emergence of the new and complete words on the screen.

[You overwhelmed an abomination that possessed powers far beyond its grade. Eidolon, a corrupted Tier 6 spatial-temporal aberration with partial conceptual unraveling ability, has been terminated.]

There was a pause, and a frown emerged on Corey's face.

'Minor source of the corruption?'

Then the next line appeared.

[Result: Absolute Victory]

[Final System Verdict: Monumental Anomaly]

Corey blinked in surprise because everything the Universal System was showing him was strange.

He had never seen the Universal System relay notifications and messages in such a manner, and it felt more... mechanic and lifeless... Like that of an android.

Another message followed, and before the words even appeared, the aura it emitted felt different.

A deep frown appeared on Corey's face.

The words appeared, and when Corey saw the way they appeared, his eyes narrowed.

They were written in golden fire, and the aura it emitted was like a god who was staring down at him from above.

'This is new.' He thought, and then he read the words on the screen.

The moment Corey read these words, a subtle chill ran through Corey's skin despite the heat radiating from his wounds.

The last sentence on the screen was something he could not ignore, and he could not help but wonder what all of these meant.

Was he being targeted by the Ancients?

Were the Ancients another name for the Old Ones?

Or were they different?

He had no idea, but what he did know was that he had to get stronger... Fast.

'I certainly did not expect this.'

'I was not noticed by the Old Ones or Ancients when I killed several Powers and Principalities in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones, but now I'm noticed by them...'

'... And the Universal System?'

'Shouldn't it have given me such a notification when I killed the Capra King as a Tier 2?'

Numerous questions and thoughts went through Corey's mind in less than a second. His gaze went through the texts on the screen one more time, and a suspicious expression appeared on his face.

'Or could it be that the Universal System was not fully active in that dimension? Could that be it?'

Although Corey wished to have more information so that he could find the answer to his questions, but the Universal System did not care one bit.

The message vanished before he could analyze it further.
