sonic the hedgehog: the lost king.

Sonic: Do you really think you are one of a kind avenger? I also saw my family die in front of my eyes and burn to ashes when I was a 5 year old. You are not some one of a kind.

Shadow: I ... *at loss of words*

Sonic: you were Betrayed and I agree with the sentiment of avenging but ... *Puts his hand on her shoulder and stares into her eyes* is this the best plan you could think of?

Shadow: what? What is wrong with my plan!? Tell me one reason except your stupid bias a-

Sonic: Do you have any idea who your targets are? Do you think bombing a bunch of random people who know nothing about you, will get you some sense of accomplishment? All those geezers who runned GUN decades ago are either already dead, gone senial and retired or admitted into a hospital. Will those bunch care if you massacre random people?

Shadow: *stands up and roars at sonic* THE HUMANS ARE MY ENEMIES. It doesn't matter if they knew.

Sonic:*stands up and faces shadow* You are just trying to direct your hatred elsewhere.. *grabs her shirt collar* DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO YOUR ENEMIES ARE?

Shadow looks at Sonic and sits back on the bed, her eyes staring at sonic with fury but with a glint of surprise. Sonic let's go off the collar before moving to the door.

Sonic: We have no way to home, the teleporter in this place got recked mid way when we arrived. We will be staying here for the next few days before we reach mars... Think in silence and if you need anything just talk to the AI.

For the next 2 days, Sonic stayed in the training ground most of the time while training his chaos abilities, the warp range has increased by 10%, amplification is now

65% and he can now stop time for 3 seconds for everything in a radius of 10 meters( time field only effects living beings).

3 days later, Sonic is surprised to see shadow in the lobby.

Sonic: well well, Looks like miss Avenger finally left her room. *Claps his hands*

Shadow:*stares at him for a moment with a stoic face* ... How do you cope up with that hatred in your? I can't think of anything that I can do except a avenging maria.

Sonic: *acts like taking notes but imaginary* So a lack of Ambition, weak social abilities and above all, no idea about how to direct her emotions.

Shadow: Annoying.

Sonic: *sits beside her, puts one of his leg over the other and rests his arms on the seat* it is better to be annoying then self destruct... You look like you will need some psychological advice.

Shadow:*repulsed* Stop beating around the bush and tell me.

Sonic: *makes a smug face and again writes his imaginary notes* lack of patience as well... *Turns stoic* Listen punk, you either gotta vent out your hatred or make other emotions strong enough to suppress your hatred.

Shadow: *acts superior * ho? What do you even have except that carefree attitude?

Sonic: I will protect my current family rather then be chained down by my past. The past is nothing but a thing to remember, you can learn from it but it must not be your only motivation. *Stands up and leaves for his room*

The following week, Shadow slowly begins to open up to Sonic and begins treating him more of a friend then a faker, apparently Sonic realised that Shadow had no way to leave so he removed the restrains.

A week later, a loud sound and a shockwave shakes the GT, Sonic wakes up in his room.

Sonic: ADOC, the hell is happening?

A small drone barges into the room and floats in front him.

Adoc: It's Shadow, she took the power gem(GT has the 7th chaos emerald as power source). The ship can reach mars in 5 days but it will not be last more 20 days.

Sonic: *slams his hand on the bed* Damn.. contact Robotnik and others and go power saving mode... And tell me where is Shadow.

Adoc: Apparently, the AT floated beside us in our path and shadow used a pod ship to escape to it. AT has Solar panels to ensure functioning of necessary systems like air containment and gravity and is 50x bigger than GT.

Sonic instantly grabbed the red chaos emerald and dashes towards the pods, he grabs a decent sized space suit and enters.

As soon as the pod ship injects, Sonic sees in his view, a giant astroid thrice the size of military base he fought shadow in, with metal structures all around it and races towards the closest. He enters through the closest port and with no hesitation used the chaos emerald to track the other.

What followed was a series of running around everywhere to find the control room, Shadow having gathered knowledge on AT in advance had activated all defensive measures, so sonic had to cut through a lot of turrets,drones and a lot of traps.

Eventually he cuts through a giant gate to enter a massive hall with a bunch of panels and computer screens in middle and standing between him and the panels is Shadow, a green gem in her hands.

Sonic:*walks forward* WHY? WHY THE HELL DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?

Shadow: *stares at the ground* They lie. Every single one of them.. maria, Gerald,Ivo, Tails,mephiles,my parents.. they lied, hid the truth.*looks up to meet Sonic's gaze* What's the point in trust if I have been feed nothing but lies all my life.. You must have lied to me as well, you just lie to make sure you take me back alive.

A reddish lightning begins coursing through her body, her eyes blank out, she walks like a machine.

Shadow: I will end this worthless journey, RIGHT HERE AND NOW.

Sonic:lightspeed

Sonic instantly circles around Shadow but..

Her eyes follow him. A spear wall forms right in front of him. He retreats in disbelief as he stare, his eyes wide open.

Sonic: H-How?

But he got no answer, regaining his composure,he brings out caliburn, the sword materialized in his hands as he looks at the emotionless Shadow.

Caliburn: sonic, there is a foreign presence on her, she is getting manipulated.

Sonic: so what do we do? Just get beat up?

Caliburn: defeat her.. I was blessed by pure hearted priests and forged from a part of master emerald by selfless forgers, any sort of dark being will be weakened from my attacks.

Sonic dashes forward his sword meeting Shadow's spears as a lethal battle begins.
