SpiderGwen: I have a system?!

Chapter 215: Chapter 215: The Meeting

[3rd POV]

Walking into the building, Gwen noticed the group behind her looking around the building, with some of them showing silent awe. The building itself was absolutely massive, and was lined with all sorts of runic letters, thousands of different types of defenses, and all sorts of weapons made to protect the council should anything happen.

It was one of the most secure buildings in the entire world, with only Gwen's compound, her floating little property where she did all of her experiments, was more secure. That, and the places that house the M'Kraan crystal and Eye of Harmony. They had so many layers of security, that only Gwen herself could even hope to enter.

"This place is...amazing, Miss Wayne. Is the inside of this building also made out of Vibranium?" Bruce asked, as Gwen looked at him. He was probably the only member of the Avengers that she could actually see becoming a member of her city, with several mutant and inhuman versions of him already being recruited into the city. He had all the right prerequisites, and wasn't the type to betray them to SHIELD.

She'd have to keep an eye on him before thinking about it, but if he showed he was worth it, she'd recruit him into the city.

"Everything in the city that is a part of a building is, as well as most of the flying cars you see. There are a few other metals that are spread throughout, but they are more...exotic metals, ones that not even I can produce casually" Gwen said, as she knew that Adamantium was one of the metals that she couldn't create an infinite amount of, especially it's greater counterpart, Proto-Adamantium.

"Simply incredible" Bruce said in awe, as they continued to walk through the building, Natasha being the one to ask the next question.

"What are these robots? Are they your security?" Natasha asked, seeing that Gwen was open to answering questions as long as they were fair and didn't dig too deep.

"They're androids, created specifically to do tasks that not all of my people can accomplish. And yes, many of them are security" Gwen replied simply, as they all walked into a large elevator, as they were taken to the top floor where the meeting would take place.

"How large is this building?" Steve asked, as they had been in the elevator for a while now.

"Not that big, it's just the security measures scanning you all to make sure you don't have weapons on you. We'll be getting to our destination in a few moments" Gwen replied, not answering that question. As there was actually a hidden basement below that was used for the droids, and was made for evacuation purposes if it ever somehow came to that.

Finally after a few more moments, the elevator doors opened, as they were led into the council room which had been changed a bit, so that they were facing one another at one long table, instead of surrounding them. As they knew that if they tried putting Fury in the middle, he would undoubtedly kick up a fuss, and none of them wanted to deal with that right now, they had more important things to deal with.

Sitting across from one another, the council on the right and the Avengers and SHIELD on the left, Fury began.

"Let's just get into this, and I'll start. You wish to work with us to stop this...Galactus, why? You have technology well beyond anything we have back on Earth, you should be fine on your own" Fury asked, as Gwen snorted.

"Galactus has technology billions of years older than mine, and most of it would be more advanced. He's also capable of wiping out solar systems if he truly wanted to, and is one of the most powerful entities in the universe. At his very peak, when fully fed, he is in the higher echelons of the Cosmic tapestry. Trust me, my technology means nothing to him" Gwen replied, finding his question to be amusing.

"While you don't have very impressive technology, you do have powerful allies. Most importantly, Thor and that hidden hero of yours, the Golden Haired man. Those two are capable of fighting against his Herald, the one known as "The Silver Surfer". They should also be able to fight against Galactus, at least, the Golden one can" Gwen said, as Fury furrowed his eyebrows at the "Golden Man" as he had no clue who she was talking about.

The Sentry was hidden as of now, and no one besides Gwen herself knew of his whereabouts, as she had kept a very close eye on where he was, using clones and thousands of layers of illusions, invisibility, and anything else to keep her completely and utterly hidden from his gaze.

"And what about the rest of us?" Clint asked, as Gwen looked at the man before deciding to be blunt.

"You won't be involved, no regular human will be, nor will the Captain. You simply wouldn't even affect the Eater of Worlds. Although Stark might be useful in terms of suits, even then I don't think it'd do anything besides annoy him. No, it'll only be heavy hitters that'll be involved in this battle, same on my side. Only the strongest of my people will be involved, and not even all of them will be" Gwen said, knowing that the several other iterations of Storm, Jean, and Magneto would be staying back.

Nate, Franklin, and Rachel were also all sitting back, only involving themselves if called upon. As the former two would be capable of defeating the man, especially now that Nate was getting training in the usage of his rapidly growing power. While Franklin's power was only continuing to increase. It wouldn't be as strong as the 616 counterpart, but it would be very high up there.

"What? We can't just not be involved! This is a fight for the world, we have to be there to help!" Steve exclaimed as Gwen looked at him like he was an idiot. He wasn't, but his statement was.

"Because you'd just get in the way. I mean no insult when I say this, but you would be an ant to him, an annoying ant that he would flick his wrist and kill in an instant. It would be better for you to stay on Earth and make sure to keep an eye on any villains that might attempt to make a move, as that would be the perfect time to do it" Gwen said, being very blunt with the man.

Steve listened to the response and went silent, as he couldn't really find a way to refute it, as if Galactus was truly that strong, then it was simply the truth, even if he really wanted to deny it, he couldn't.

"And how are we going to defeat him? We've talked about who's going to be involved, but how the hell do we kill a being like that?" Clint asked, as Gwen looked to the man.

"We are NOT killing him" Gwen said with a serious look on her face.

"What do you mean we're not killing him? How the fuck do we stop him otherwise?" Fury asked with a frown.

"We cannot kill him, Fury. He is quite literally a universal force, someone that is absolutely necessary to the universe. He helps keep balance, so that the universe is not overridden with life. And should he die, someone...something far far worse will come out of it, and trust me, that is not a being we can stop should it be allowed into our universe through the death of Galactus" Gwen said, remembering the entity that personified the act of Destruction...

Abraxas

An entity that was born from Eternity himself/itself, and a being that Gwen couldn't even attempt to fight back against in her current state. She needed far more power to have a chance, and she was not even remotely interested in killing Galactus because of this.

The only other way of stopping the arrival of Abraxas should she kill Galactus, was to become the new Eater of Worlds, taking his duty and all of his power into herself. But...she wasn't interested in that, and she wasn't even sure it would work.

"Who could be worse than an Eater of Worlds?" Carol asked with a frown, having never heard of this.

"The Personification of the Act of Destruction. I'd say its name, but when it comes to higher entities, names have power, and I'd rather not risk it's reawakening and return to reality by saying it. But all you need to know, is that if our Galactus dies, then an entity that is a threat to not only this universe, but the entire multiverse, will appear. And that is not an entity I can do anything to stop, so we have to make Galactus flee, not kill him" Gwen said, as they all went silent before nodding, as they were beginning to understand why she refused to kill Galactus.

They didn't want to deal with such a foe either. Not if it was something worse than an Eater of Worlds.

Seeing this response, Gwen smiled, as she looked them all over, and spoke.

"Good...now let's start planning, shall we?"
