SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 334: The Manor

After Silva said they should move, Lily created a portal for them. Silva walked in first, and all the guardians followed.

He was shocked to see a large living room when he walked out. He stared at the luxurious room, painted black and gold—it was the best kind of combination.

"You have to be kidding me," Simca said as he walked toward a chair. It was fitted with black leather and gold edges. He ran his finger along it and smiled.

"We knew your taste was something on the black side, so we found this manor that already had everything you'd need, and it was for sale," Drake said.

"This is crazy. I didn't think you guys would have already bought a manor," Silva said. He slumped into a chair, his feet pointing upwards as he lay down.

Lily walked to his side and pushed his legs down. "Act like a king. It doesn't matter if this is not your kingdom," she said.

Silva sat up. He pouted for a bit before his expression turned serious. Noticing this, the guardians stood around the living room, all eyes on him.

He leaned forward and used his knuckles to lift his chin.

"I'm happy that you all made this place available and managed to sneak into the capital of the empire. The empire is very big, and the powerful people they have are stationed at particular places.

That's why they have such lax security that we can even sneak in. Well, that's one factor. The second reason is peace. Peace breeds weak people.

Unlike the elves, who are at constant risk against the dragons and the spirits, the empire's only risk is the Holy Kingdom, and the Holy Kingdom is not going to just start a war or fight them like that. So, the empire has been at peace.

Their entire security detail has waned over the years, and it has become less and less secure as you get away from the capital. I'm sure we all knew this already, though.

But it seems the empire is not as dumb as they seem. They seemingly understand that their time of peace has made them weak, and so the demon blood became their solution.

They are near completion, and it's not something we want to spread from the looks of things. Aside from the fact that I have to do this for the goddess, the second issue is that the empire wants to use us as target practice for the blood.

We might be able to fight against them, but what about the weak people at home? They will not be able to do anything at all, and they will all die.

So we have to find a way to turn off this whole thing and ensure that we take control of the blood. I also believe that making a near-perfect demon blood is risky to the entire world," Silva said. He leaned back into his chair, crossed his legs, and continued talking.

"Remember the portals that were ripped forcefully into the demon realm? I mean the true demon realm. I understand that some of you weren't there when this was spoken about, so I'll give you a small summary.

I fought someone who held an actual demon blade. Though slightly damaged, it was very powerful. That blade had been forcefully pulled through a portal connected to the demon realm.

So there's a mysterious figure creating portals to the demon realm and taking items. This person might come after the near-real demon blood. I just have a feeling.

In essence, all I am saying is we need to make sure that blood doesn't get out. We stand the risk of being the first victims, but no one is killing my kingdom," Silva said.

"So, what's the plan now? How did we get into this? The blood might be at its final stage," Drake said.

"The same thing you guys were doing before I came, but with more vigor," Silva said as he got up. He looked around the living room for a bit and then smiled.

"This place should be big enough to do whatever we need, and that is to gather all sorts of people, because those people will be the source of the information that we want. And it will come fast.

We can do this, or just straight up break into the empire and take what we want," Silva said the last part as a joke, laughing.

"Wait, can we do that?" Zack asked.

"No, you big musclehead," Kratos said and smacked his head.

"Kratos is right, we can't do that. We are trying to find out where it is being made, how it is being made, the transportation route, and also who knows about the production as well.

If we let them know that we are here, it will most definitely kill our chances at all of that.

There was already an issue where the empire knew that I was coming and sent Lena to sabotage us. I have not come to say it, but someone had to have ratted out the plan to them—someone close, and so Lena knew.

But that's beside the point because we can easily find the person when we are ready," Silva said. He leaned forward again and continued speaking.

"The plan to pull people is simple. We turn this house into a massive exhibition and shop.

Selling unique products like swords, potions, and even spells of different ranks. This would pull people and the attention of some higher-up people, and that's where we get the information we need.

We need to make this plan work in less than a week. If we can pull this off, we will be getting a really good inflow of information, and we can work with that.

I'll hash out the details more with Lily and Drake, figuring out how we can do this without seeming illegal and making it look like we came from somewhere trustworthy.

One slip-up can lead us to fight battles that we don't want to fight, so we have to be careful in this."
