SSS Ranked Reincarnation: Dark Dragon Legacy

Chapter 335: Going for a stroll

After the discussion, Silva dismissed all the guardians aside from Drake and Lily. They sat with him in the living room.

"So what's the full plan? What aspect do you need to work on?" Drake asked as he sat down.

"Well, we have to make this as fast as possible, so I'll probably be pushing you guys a bit too hard. The empire doesn't know that I've arrived or that there was a change in plans.

I know that the person who leaked the information in the first place can't be from the guardians—it's someone else. And I'm sure they would have already started telling the empire that I made a change of plans.

If the empire knows that I'm in this exact house, then we can know that the person who ratted us out was one of them with you here.

But if the empire doesn't know that I am in this exact house and only knows that I am in the empire, then I know the people that were here with you guys are safe.

I really wanted to be able to trust everyone, but someone had to throw a wrench in that plan all of a sudden.

But that's beside the point. We need to focus here. I've said that a lot, but still. So Drake, Lily, the weapons and potions are in your hands—oh, and also the spells. I don't want to sell anything too high-level, so you guys work on what we will sell. Explore new worlds at My Virtual Library Empire

I haven't gotten to see this city, so I want to go out for a while and take in the capital of the empire." Silva said and got up, his hair and pupils turning black.

He left the living room and walked toward the exit, humming a tune. He reached the door and opened it, the rays of light reaching his eyes like a rushing wave. He squinted his eyes to try and reduce the light.

When his eyes were fully adjusted, he walked out into the massive compound, filled with gardens, numerous flowers of different types, butterflies, and some bees flying around.

He saw some gardeners in the distance working on the flowers and plants, and some maids working around the house.

"They really went all out with this," Silva said to himself and kept walking. He got to the gates. Two guards sat there. When they saw Silva, they all raised their brows. Of all the people they had seen in this manor, they had never seen his face.

And they hadn't seen when he had entered, so it looked suspicious to them. They pulled their swords and pointed them at Silva.

"Who are you, and how did you get in here? Speak now, or we will sever your head this second," one of the guards barked at Silva.

Silva raised his brow. He could understand why this guard would be confused about who he was, but Silva was a dragon, and this human raised his voice at him—for any reason, that was not acceptable.

Silva used Dragon's Eye to ascertain the level of this man, and what he saw made him more vexed.

Race: Human

Level: 30

Strength: 70

Defense: 80

Speed: 80

Agility: 65

Intelligence: 100

This man was the definition of weak to Silva—an ant, the bottom of the barrel, the very least of the least—yet he still opened his mouth and spoke to Silva with careless disregard. Silva would not stand for that. His pride could not allow it.

He raised his hand, pointing his finger at the man. A purple flame lit on his fingertip. The man was shocked and wanted to move, but all of a sudden, neither of them could move an inch.

"Do you think that in the presence of me, your body would obey your will? You are nothing but ants, and in my presence, your body is nothing but a puppet for me to control.

You were only doing your jobs. Sadly, you spoke to me, and my pride can't allow you off for whatever reason." Silva said. By this time, both men were shivering. The flame turned into a swirling ball, spinning rapidly.

Silva was about to fire it, but the door of the manor opened.

"Master!" Drake yelled out, pulling Silva's attention and causing him to misfire, barely missing the head of the guard. The flame traveled into the wall and exploded, creating a massive hole in the wall.

"Master Silva, it's our fault for not informing them about you earlier. Please show them mercy," Drake said as he walked toward Silva.

"Hmmm, okay," Silva said and started walking out again like nothing had happened. Since Drake asked for their mercy, he would allow them, because he saw Drake as a companion of sorts—his words meant something.

The guards flopped to the ground like sacks of potatoes. The one who had nearly gotten his head blown up just stayed frozen on the ground, imagining how he would have died right now—his life would have been over.

Rather than hold hate for Silva, he held gratitude because he knew that Silva missed on purpose. A person of that power level would not miss because someone called their name, so Silva had spared him.

Drake, on the other hand, looked at the massive hole in the wall and let out a tired sigh. He would have to get it fixed immediately.

"Both of you, lock the gate and follow me," he said and started walking. The guards shook off their shock and got on their feet. They immediately locked the gates and ran to catch up with Drake.

"We will need to fix that hole, so get everything that will be needed and get some of the workers to help. Make sure it comes out as good as it was. If you need to buy anything, let me know, and I'll provide the funds for it," Drake said. He walked into the manor and left the guards to get to work. The guards didn't waste any time. They bowed to Drake and scurried off.
