Chapter 114 The Magic Academy [Part 2]
'I'm going to leave my summoning magic till later when I'm ready, also now I have one more girl'
Mira continued talking till almost all the seats in front of Roman were filled up, she didn't stop, she talked mostly about magic which Roman listened nodding his head and speaking a little until suddenly the hall went quiet.
Roman immediately turned his head forward and a woman was in front of the students on a stage which was higher than the seats so everyone could see her.
She had black hair and was wearing the academy instructors clothes, black and gold.
The class 1 academy clothes were black and blue, black and green was for class 2, black and red for class 3, then black and gold for instructors, Roman read about it back in the palace.
The woman in front cleared her throat before she finally spoke, "Good morning to all of you, I'm instructors K and I welcome you to the magic academy"
'I'm pretty sure her name isn't K'
Instructor K stood tall on the stage, her hands behind her back as she looked across the hall filled with students.
'I was expecting applause, I guess this batch of students are spoiled brats'
"You all made it here because you awakened a good ability and class," she said.
"Whether you're a noble or commoner, it doesn't matter here. What matters is your skill and your effort."
Her voice was clear and firm, carrying across the large room.
"This academy is not a playground. You're here to grow, to train, and to become strong enough to face what lies outside these walls, after your days in the academy are you going to be food for beasts and demons, we'll never know"
Roman listened quietly, his eyes fixed on her, the rest of the students were muttering and mumbling.
What she said was simply true, anyone could be selected to go to the Frontline where deaths are recorded almost everyday.
"Classes will begin tomorrow," She continued.
"Today, you will receive your uniforms, schedules and tour of the academy. After that, you'll head to the testing hall for ability assessment. Even if you've already shown your abilities, this is part of academy records."
She paused for a second and looked at the students.
"We will also be checking for physical prowess, so be prepared"
'More tests, but no matter how hard they try, no one would be able to see any of my stats, at least that good since my stats are too low, I'm sure no S-rank have ever been recorded with stats this low'

'My lowers stats are my agility, strength and most importantly spell power, if I can get my spell power and Mana a big boost, I'm pretty sure I'll be unstoppable but getting the boost is the issue now'
"Step out in an orderly fashion" K spoke and all the students began standing up from their seats.
At the front of the stage there was another door which led inside the academy, the academy had three part.
The first part which was the entrance where carriage can stay and it had nothing more than that, then the inner part which had this large hall and then different smaller buildings which belonged to the instructors at the academy.
After that was the third part where the students currently were.
Roman stepped out with all the girls still staring at him but he simply ignored the stares as he stepped outside into the third part of the academy.
Another instructor was in front of the students and she was going to give them a tour of this part of the academy.
The instructor waiting for them outside was a woman with short brown hair tied in a bun. She wore the same black and gold uniform, and held a scroll in her hand. When the students had all gathered, she stepped forward and smiled slightly.
"Welcome again to the academy," she said. "I'm Instructor Clara, and I'll be giving you a short tour of this area since it's your first day."
Roman stood near the back, his hands in his pockets, listening quietly. Mira was still beside him, though she was now scanning the area curiously while some of the girls besides Roman was slowly moving closer to him.
Clara turned and began walking. The students followed behind in groups, Roman didn't know exactly how many there were but he was sure the students here were up to two hundred.
"To your left," Clara said, pointing, "That is the student dormitory area. You'll be staying there. Class 1 students, which is all of you here, will be staying in that blue-marked building. Class 2 students stay in the green buildings, and Class 3 in red."
Roman looked to the left. Several buildings stood there, tall and clean, marked with glowing color lines around the roofs and doors. Roman was sure magic was used to do the markings.
"You'll be assigned a room later today. Each room has two beds, a desk, and storage space for your clothes, inside the dorm building there are 3 floors and each of the floor has a bath, everyone would take baths together twice a day"
Clara walked on after speaking, at the end of the line Roman was behind smiling, this was it, this was the chance he needed, a communal bath was definitely the way to go.
"To the right," she said next, "is the training ground. It's large and has sections for magic duels, physical training, target practice, and team exercises. You're free to use it when you're not in class."
Roman turned to look. A wide open field stretched out with different zones. There were dummies made of enchanted wood, stone pillars, targets floating in the air, and even a section surrounded by tall walls—probably for combat training and of course there were wooden swords.
They kept walking.
"Straight ahead is the main building, where you'll be attending your classes," Clara explained.
"You'll be split into two classes, each class has a homeroom, and you'll also take lessons in mana control, theory, spell casting, beast and demon knowledge, survival, and more."
Roman was simply taking in all the information, the academy was what he expected, it was definitely a military academy.
"To the far corner there," Clara pointed, "is the academy library. It's open every day until evening. You'll find books on all sorts of magic, history, strategy, and past records of mages"
A few students looked excited at the mention of books. Roman looked towards the library, he was going to spend a lot of time there.
"Over here is the dining hall," she continued, leading them to a wide building with large windows. "Meals are served three times a day. You can eat with whoever you like, and seating is open."
"Lastly," Clara said, "that building behind the hall is the medical wing. If you're injured or need help, the academy healers are always there. Don't be shy about going if something's wrong."
She stopped walking and faced the group.
"That's most of the main places. You'll learn the rest with time...next is time for the test and there you'll also be assigned rooms and given your uniform"
"Over there is the testing area and also the research department, this would be the only time you'll be allowed in, you do not go there unless given instructions to, is that understood" Clara spoke and the students answered.
The students followed Instructor Clara into the building.
Inside, the room was wide, clean and painted white, it had doors that led deeper but all of the doors were shut, four females were inside, and in front of them were three large crystals.
One of the mages inside stepped forward, her eyes scanning the crowd as if looking for someone then she spoke.
"I'm Mary, head of the research department, you rank has already been confirmed during the awakening ceremony, this is just an extra, B-rank over here, A-rank over here and S-rank over here" She spoke and the students began moving.
For the first time since arriving, Roman finally saw Reina as she walked towards where the S-ranks would stand.
"Reina" Roman spoke from behind her and she turned around.
"Roman... you're here, I had no idea, I would have..."
"We'll catch up later" Roman spoke as all eyes were now on them.
There were three students who were S-ranks, Roman being one and also a male, Reina being the second and a commoner, and then a member of the Firefrost family which everyone knew except Roman.
Mary who was scanning the student finally saw who she was looking for.
