Star Wars: Daimon's Story

Within Aeteris, the shuttle carrying the Republic envoy and her guards were being escorted to the Imperial Palace, a massive floating megastructure which was still under construction even now. The Palace was going to be Daimon's seat of power, where he resided with his future family, and where the people who will govern the entire Imperium will reside.

Ambassador Dorn was so shocked at how Aeteris looked compared to what she had learned on the way here. She was told that Veldari was an underdeveloped, primitive world with no modern cities or technology to speak of. Yet as her shuttle followed their escort, Veldari was completely different than the information the Republic had.

At the landing platform, Garrik Dain, the Archon of the Treasury, was there to meet the Ambassador himself as he had been given the go ahead to start a beneficial relationship with the Republic where the Imperium benefited the most.

As the Ambassador's shuttle landed, Dain extended his hand in a peaceful gesture. "Ambassador Selia Dorn," he began, "Welcome Veldari. I am Garrik Dain, the Archon of the Treasury and member of the Imperial High Council."

"Thank you, Lord Dain," she replied formally. "The Galactic Republic extends its greetings."

He nodded at this, a small smile forming as he motioned towards the doors behind him. "Come, let us discuss matters within more comfortable surroundings."

As they moved towards the door, Ambassador Dorn's guards followed behind her flanked by 4 Force Scions. So far, everything that she has seen was a complete 180 from the Republic knew about Veldari and the Gen'Dai. If anything, she was glad that she was sent here, as she got to see firsthand how much they had changed.

They made their way through the corridors of the Imperial Palace, passing the holo-projectors which displayed the historical battles of the Gen'Dai during what has been called the Liberation War.

Dain pointed out a few notable ones, giving her a brief history of what happened over the past 2 years on Veldari. Ambassador Dorn listened closely, learning what happened over the past 2 years so she can get an understanding of what she was dealing with.

Finally, they reached a conference room that had windows offering a panoramic view of Aeteris's busy skyline. Dain gestured for Ambassador Dorn to take a seat at the table, and after they were seated, he began the meeting.

"The Imperium is still in its formative years," Dain started. "The God-Emperor's vision is to create a prosperous and strong empire. We aren't looking for hostility but peace isn't simply given; it must be justified."

He paused for a moment allowing the Ambassador to grasp what he was saying, "So I propose we begin with trade agreements, starting small and building trust gradually. Before long-term alliances are formed, we should prove to each other that such a treaty would be beneficial." They wouldn't actually form an alliance as that wasn't Daimon's interests with the Republic at this time, but expressing interests in a future alliance will create a good outlook.

Ambassador Dorn nodded slowly, considering his proposition. "That sounds like a reasonable approach, Lord Dain," she agreed. "The Galactic Republic is always willing to foster peaceful relationships, and trade is an excellent place to start."

Dain nodded in response, very pleased with the outcome. "Good. I will arrange for my team to draft an initial agreement for review."

A moment of silence passed as Dorn studied the Human man before her. He was well-spoken and intelligent, making her think if he was the leader of this Veldari Imperium or not. She had seen the Gen'Dai treat him with great respect, and the fact that he held such a position was also something.

He may have claimed to be the Archon of the Treasury, and a member of the Imperial High Council, but his demeanor held a strong sense of authority. She was yet to meet the God-Emperor himself, but something told her Lord Dain wasn't far from being his equal or maybe he was person in question.

The meeting lasted for hours, as they discussed the resources that each faction could bring to the table. Ambassador Dorn suggested a mutual exchange of technology, however Dain declined because they didn't need any of the technology that the Republic had.

This brought about a moment of silence from Ambassador Dorn. The belief was that the lesser developed Veldari Imperium would stand to learn much from the advanced technology of the Galactic Republic. Instead, it seemed that they were once again underestimated, and they had advanced further than Dorn had expected.

"No, Ambassador Dorn, we appreciate your generous offer," Dain patiently explained. "But I must assure you, our technological needs are fully met. The God-Emperor has utilized his vast knowledge to spearhead a technological renaissance on Veldari."

The first meeting eventually drew to a close with the understanding that a draft of the trade agreement would soon be forthcoming from Dain's team. As Dorn and her retinue were led out of the Imperial Palace by their escort, she couldn't help but be struck once more by the power that seemed to permeate everything in Veldari.

Once back on their ship and far enough away from the planet's surface, she gathered her thoughts and began her report to the Republic. "There seems to be a gross underestimation of the Veldari Imperium," she began, "Far from being a developing civilization, they have proven themselves advanced beyond our initial assessments."

The weeks that followed were characterized by an intensified exchange of communication between the Veldari Imperium and the Galactic Republic, primarily regarding the details of the trade agreement. Meanwhile, Ambassador Dorn found herself increasingly drawn to understanding more about this enigmatic empire led by the equally unfathomable God-Emperor.

Public announcements from Daimon were often broadcast throughout Veldari. His voice boomed through the holoprojectors which were on various buildings, declaring the progress of the Imperium and his vision for the future. Each address was met with an extremely positive response from the population especially the religious fanatics who pray every day in honor of the God-Emperor.

Ambassador Dorn found herself amidst these congregations and had become quite interested in the established religion on Veldari.

She began to attend the prayer meetings and listen to the sermons, absorbing the Veldari philosophy and perspective. It was a world apart from the beliefs held in the Republic, yet she found herself intrigued by its nuances.

The central theme revolved around unity, a principle that was reflected in their technology, politics, economy and overall societal structure. The God-Emperor had eliminated fragmentation and division among his people, creating a harmonious realm where everyone served for the benefit of all.

More so, Daimon was revered not merely as a leader but as the embodiment of wisdom and power.

While Ambassador Dorn initially found these ideas foreign, over time she began to understand why such beliefs held sway over the hearts of the Veldari people. After all, their societal transformation was evident for all to see.

With Dain handling the negotiations with the Republic Ambassador, Daimon was currently on the Moon of Veldari which has been named Azerion, a name which exuded power and control, ideal for a heavily industrialized or militarized moon. His plan was to turn the moon into a massive automated factory that mass-produces warships, weapons, vehicles, and military equipment on a massive scale.

While the moon would be named Azerion, it would be called and identified as the Imperial Forge Moon. The moon would consist of 4 features which consisted of Planetary-Scale Shipyards, capable of constructing entire armadas of battleships, dreadnoughts, supercarriers, and other ships simultaneously.

Automated Assembly Lines, which would be mainly controlled by AI-driven manufacturing systems that mass-produce tanks, starfighters, weapons, and cybernetic enhancements.

Weapon Testing Fields which would be a planetary warzone dedicated to experimental weaponry, prototype testing, and combat simulations.

And lastly, the Resource Processing Core, which is a deep-crust extraction system that would harvest rare minerals, gases, and metals to sustain continuous production.

Similar to Veldari, a massive Crystal Core was created to provide the energy the moon would require. Considering the massive scale and technological limitations that they had, the construction would take more than a decade or two to complete.

They would need to reconstruct the entire surface of the moon which would take a while, in addition to doing some exploration to find more rare and strategic resources in other systems.

This would be the first of many megastructures that Daimon had planned to create over the course of the next 1000 years.
