Chapter 4: Chapter 4: The Gifts (2)
"I want to be born in Star Wars before Clone Wars on Naboo", Jayden chose his birth universe along with where he wanted to be born and when.
The voice turned silent for a second before she spoke again.
"Hmm", the voice spoke in a sarcastic and amusing voice, "So, should I send you to a day before the Clone Wars started or maybe a thousand years before that when Sith were operating still in the open?"
Jayden's face crumbled instantly. He knew he had made a mistake. If you want something, you need to be precise, or else you have to be satisfied with what you get.
There was nothing he could do about that, as he had already chosen his world. He could only sigh in disappointment.
"Haha, look at your face. That's very amusing. Don't worry, I will send you to a timeline that was a few years before the Clone Wars, but I won't tell you the year. You would have to figure out when it was on your own", she spoke as if it amused her a little.
"Why can't you tell me what year it would be?" Jayden sighed, thinking that he would not get any answer.
She was after an omnipresent being, who can easily snap him out of existence just by showing her true form. So, he has no leverage whatsoever to make her give a reason.
"Where is the fun in that?" she spoke in amusement.
His reincarnation was not a reward for his hard work or good deeds he did in his life. No, she was doing that to keep herself amused. It would be like watching a Movie or TV series in real life for beings like her.
So Jayden could do nothing but sigh and accept what was given for free.
"Don't look so down. I would give you something in addition to the three gifts that I promised", She tried to uplift his mood, and it worked.
Now, he would have one more gift than before, and all of these are freebies, including what would be a new life without giving anything...
"Wait, I am all getting those for free without asking back for anything? Why?" Jayden wondered.
To gain something, you have to lose something.
"There must be something that she wanted", Jayden thought.
"Ah, Lady ROB, I am thankful for the new life that you are going to give me and all the gifts, but is there something you are expecting from me?" he asked.
The voice turned silent for a second, before he heard laughing.
"Hahaha, what can you give me that I can't take for myself. Now select what gifts you want, or else I can't guarantee where you would end up in your next life", she spoke.
Though the ROB hasn't exactly answered his question, Jayden still chose his gifts, half expectadly thinking that this would turn into a big joke among ROBs, where she would tell the others, "Remember when I pranked that dumb soul...".
Even though he thought that could be possible, he still chose his gifts, for there is a minute chance that this could be real, and if that were so, he didn't want to miss out on such an option.
"First, I need a status panel where I can see my details, like my skills and their progression. My second choice was a personal space storage, which was accessible only to me.
My final gift was item multiplication. Any item created by me or created in my territory, the output would be multiplied by a certain number, and these bonus items would automatically be stored in my personal space storage", Jayden told the voice what he wants most.
Everything that he chose has a reason.
In any world, if one has access to something that can help them see how their skills are progressing, the growth rate would be very high.
If they can see that they have truly progressed, many would continue the work instead of stopping in the middle, even if they don't see any progress in real life.
The greatest damage to an economy is not lazy people, but ones who give up in the middle, seeing that there is no progress. Similarly, warriors needed to know if they were progressing when it came to their skills.
If they have no talent and can't progress, they would see that if they have a panel and can switch before they waste more time. It can also stop one from giving up, as they would see that their work was giving them results, even if it was slower than others. The people would persist.
So, Jaydem chose the Status panel as his first gift.
The Personal Space Storage was important for storing important things. In the Star Wars Universe, for some reason, there was no Space Storage device. If they existed, they are limited in quantity or the technology was lost.
There was the power "Force" and a high-level technology. Creating devices that possess space storage abilities should have been possible, but they were never mentioned or shown.
If he intends to create his new life, that may take a long time. With no foundation, it would take years, but he knew that he wouldn't have such time to research that one concept.
The third gift, he chose that because Jayden wanted to build his own kingdom, or empire, in Star Wars. It was something he dreamed of, if he was ever isekai'd to an original world or an AU of an existing world.
The best way to improve a kingdom or empire was to have a lot of resources.
Of course, he didn't select the multiplication number and let the ROB ch1ose whatever number was good enough. Even if it was just 2, he would get double of what his territory produces. It would be huge if he could create a kingdom or empire that spans over systems.
---
"Hmm, except for the third, the first two were simple. So, they are granted, but the third one is tricky. You should know, only nothing comes out of nothing", the voice spoke.
"I do know that", Jayden answered.
"So, you should know that those multiplied resources had to come from somewhere. It would be difficult to do so", she said, not outrightly rejecting the third choice.
"I can choose another if that is impossible", Jayden spoke, but he was hoping that she would grant him that gift.
"No need, I can grant you, but there are some restrictions on the gift. You can only activate this gift after you become a Jedi Padawan, not before. Also, the number multiplication was 10,000 at max. You would start with 10 times multiplication at the start. It would increase, but how to increase that to a 10,000 multiplier, you have to find on your own", she spoke.
Jayden sighed in relief. Though he might have to start at 10X and have to find a way to increase that to 10,000X, he was still happy about the outcome.
"Okay now, it's time to get reincarnated", she spoke and a portal opened and his soul was sucked into that.
While the portal sucked his soul, he suddenly remembered something.
"Wait...", Before he could ask for the fourth gift that she promised, he disappeared into the portal.
