Chapter 159: Chapter 52: Truth of the World
Madara stared down at Urashiki in the crater, his expression complex.
"He says he is… someone from outer space?"
"Yeah, I didn't even provoke him; he just came to kill me," Kamihane said, glancing at Madara. "How should we handle this? I'll leave it up to you, Madara."
"He possesses a lot of intelligence that we need to carefully investigate," Madara stated.
"Understood," Kamihane nodded.
Suddenly, his expression turned serious. He immediately grabbed Madara's arm and with a burst of speed, teleported them both hundreds of meters away.
A deep, heavy energy erupted from the pit, as if a volcano had erupted. A thick beam of purple light shot straight into the sky, dyeing the heavens purple, and dark clouds converged within a kilometer's radius, swirling with rolling thunder.
"You've got to be kidding! How could I, Urashiki, be captured by you monkeys!"
The surging energy shattered the earth, and Otsutsuki Urashiki seized the opportunity to drill out from underground, shooting high into the sky. His hands had grown back.
"Amenosubarumio: Mitama!"
A dense barrage of purple orbs rained down like anti-aircraft fire. Madara immediately activated Susano'o, a colossal blue giant appearing to envelop him and Kamihane.
Apparently, Urashiki was unleashing his full strength. A massive, deep purple sphere, crackling with heavy and deadly light, was being held aloft by his hands, and pushing away the clouds above him.
This energy was ten times, no, a hundred times more terrifying than a Tailed Beast Ball.
"It seems capturing him alive is impossible." Madara looked up at the sky, his gaze fleeting.
Kamihane chuckled, the wind scattering his long hair. He leaped into the air, standing upright.
Chakra surged within him like a vast ocean, flowing down through the "Divine Citadel" and converging at his dantian, instantly connecting his Eight Extraordinary Meridians. It passed through "Stone Gate," flowing through "Guan Yuan," and finally converging with a roar into the "Zhongji Point!"
"Eight Gates Release: Gate of Shock – Open!"
A point of blue light flashed in the midst of the intense green steam, quickly swelling to become an ice-blue light that soared skyward, illuminating the firmament. The air trembled with explosive, distorted energy, as if the space itself could barely withstand the power!
Kamihane hovered in the air like a god, his black hair standing on end, and burned with clear ice flames like a small sun, his oppressive power sweeping across the expanse.
He raised his head, silently staring at Urashiki in the sky.
Their eyes met, and amidst the rapidly changing battlefield, they simultaneously launched their attacks.
Urashiki's Rinnegan blazed brightly. With both hands, he hurled the enormous sphere downward. With a thunderous crash, the heavens were eclipsed, lightning pierced the sky, and the sky was illuminated with the ominous aura of a world-ending storm, a gargantuan black-purple dragon cleaved through the clouds, carrying the sphere as it dived straight down!
"Amenosubarumio: Ryūgū!!!"
Kamihane remained in place, facing the collapsing sky, he didn't move, and simply raised his right hand, pressing down gently as if swatting a mosquito.
"Great Wilderness: Heaven-Imprisonment!"
The clouds tore apart, the streaming currents forced to the sides, carving a huge palm print at the center, and the surrounding storm clouds were blasted away by the immense power!
This palm was apocalyptic, pressing down like Mount Tai, crashing down like a cataclysmic flood.
Horrified, Urashiki looked up. The storm clouds scattered in an instant, and sunlight shone through the massive palm print, illuminating his face filled with terror and horror. From his perspective, it felt as if the entire universe was in that hand.
The dragon roared, energy erupted, but it couldn't stir up any ripples. Both Urashiki himself and his technique were completely suppressed by this attack.
Urashiki let out an unwilling roar of fury, but it was useless. He could only be annihilated inch by inch in the giant palm, until disappearing entirely from the world.
The devastating power descended from the sky, sending shockwaves that rolled over the earth, the ground shattered and mountains crumbled, lasting for miles!
On this day, a deep canyon appeared on the face of the earth. Viewed from above, the terrain and ridges connected, vaguely forming the shape of a gigantic palm…
At dusk, Uchiha Hikari returned, finding the entire base plunged into silence.
At the dining table, Madara held a cup of tea, his brow furrowed as he sank deep in thought.
There was no steam rising from the cup, and his posture seemed to have been like this for some time.
Kamihane sat upright before him, his gaze cast downwards. Seeing Hikari enter, he immediately winked at her.
Hikari tiptoed to kneel beside Kamihane, her delicate brows slightly raised, and her almond eyes shining with confusion.
'What happened?' She mouthed.
Kamihane read her lips, pointed at Madara, then shook his head, and waved his hand.
'Was Otsutsuki Urashiki… defeated?' She continued to ask.
Kamihane nodded, put on a hand motion that he had pinched something, and then discreetly glanced at Madara.
Hikari was intelligent, and she immediately guessed that Madara's current state was likely related to the Otsutsuki.
Soon, Madara took a deep breath, his voice low:
"According to what Otsutsuki Urashiki said, our ninja world is just a garden used to plant Divine Trees?"
Kamihane's expression was serious as he nodded. "That's correct."
"Our ancestors originated from their bloodline?"
"Yes."
Madara put down the teacup, tapping his fingers absently on the table, as if reasoning, or talking to himself.
"It is said that the Sage of Six Paths could release ninjutsu naturally, without needing to form seals. Urashiki also possessed this power, and... he has the Rinnegan... a force I haven't obtained after searching through all of the world..."
"Which means…" he looked up, his tone heavy. "We Uchiha and Senju, tracing our roots back, are descendants of the Otsutsuki, likely related to this 'Kaguya' he spoke of…"
"The truth of the world… what exactly is it? What are we?"
Kamihane spoke suddenly, "You are Uchiha Madara, and we are your disciples, nothing more."
Madara paused slightly.
"Our ideal is to liberate the entire ninja world, allowing everyone to live in an ideal world and creating a world of eternal peace," Kamihane said with a tilt of his head and a slight smile. "I think that hasn't changed from the beginning, has it?"
"That's only natural." Madara's heart warmed, and he felt a stirring emotion, but he frowned again. "If what that guy said is true, that there are other Otsutsuki who may descend sometime in the future, and if everyone possessed that kind of power, wouldn't we harm everyone by trapping them in the Infinite Tsukuyomi?"
"Though I don't know what you're saying, Madara, if any enemies dare to invade, wouldn't it be fine if we beat them down as their guardians?" Hikari said softly.
"It's not that simple." Kamihane said, "While we can't be sure of the strength of each of them, Urashiki already possessed tricky space-time abilities. It's hard to guarantee what the other Otsutsuki will be like. Their abilities are all unknown. To counter them, we must become stronger!"
"Is there a possibility…" Madara suddenly remembered something, a flash of inspiration crossing his mind.
"The stone tablet left behind by the Sage of Six Paths isn't the true path to salvation. He… hasn't seen these Otsutsuki?"
"Eh? Well… what you say is right," Kamihane replied, his expression slightly odd. He glanced at Madara but didn't voice any further opinions.
"You two eat first. I need to think about this issue," Madara mused, leaving the table and walking out.
"Where are you going, Madara?"
"Just going for a walk. Don't worry, I'll be back tonight," Madara explained before leaving the base.
Hikari was slightly worried, taking Kamihane's left hand. "I hope nothing will happen to Madara."
"There are things that he needs to think about carefully." Kamihane smiled warmly, offering a reassuring smile.
He shot a swift glance at his right hand, his expression remaining normal as he ate with Hikari.
Embedded within his palm was a black, rhombus-shaped mark that was embedded in the flesh and engraved into his soul.
