Start with the Mangekyo Sharingan: Follow Lord Madara out of Konoha

Chapter 161: Chapter 54: Lunar Night at the Cascade Hot Spring

Within the Cascade Hot Spring, Kamihane and Hikari nestled together, whispering softly. On the shore, "Shimofuri no Isshin" and the Uchiwa Fan leaned against each other, their ribbons swaying gently in the night wind.

"That's right, it's a sealing technique, but not just any sealing technique."

Kamihane's tone remained calm and gentle, as if everything was within his calculations. "So, I need to start interacting with the Uzumaki clan."

"What if their sealing techniques don't work either?" Hikari turned her head slightly, her tone worried.

"There aren't that many possibilities. The Uzumaki clan's sealing techniques can even suppress tailed beasts. There's no reason why they wouldn't work," Kamihane patiently explained. "I don't need them to completely suppress it, just slow down Kāma's decompression speed."

"I finally understand why Urashiki would call himself a 'being that surpasses death.' With something like this, it's just monstrous!" Hikari remained uneasy, repeatedly examining Kamihane's right hand, a hint of worry in her eyes.

"It's fine, always look at the bright side," Kamihane rested his face on her snow-white back. "Kāma isn't all bad either; I've discovered that it has some particularly interesting abilities."

"Interesting abilities?"

"Yes," Kamihane nodded with interest, raising his right hand toward an empty space. "For example..."

As the Kāma in his palm flashed with a strange luster, space began to churn like water, as if a vortex had formed. At the vortex's center, a black and red portal slowly opened.

"What is this…?" Hikari blinked curiously.

"This is called Kaguyahime no Mikoto; it can open a portal that allows us to travel freely in different spaces. Although the activation speed is slow and it can't be used in combat, it's quite convenient for daily transportation."

Kamihane said matter-of-factly, "That way, we won't have to travel arduously to the Land of Iron in the future. We can achieve easy round trips with the portal. Space-time ninjutsu is just that amazing..."

Hikari lowered her head slightly, her face suddenly darkening, like the sky before a heavy rain.

"So, that's why you're so happy. You're thinking about going to the Land of Iron, huh…"

"I wouldn't say I'm thinking about it…" Kamihane didn't realize Hikari's expression was changing. "It's just that it's easier to travel back and forth."

"Hmph, it's also convenient to see that Niwa Yukino, right?" Hikari's tone was filled with a coldness that seemed to ward off strangers.

"Eh? Absolutely not!" Kamihane finally realized something was wrong, quickly explaining, "I was just giving an example! I only have two things to do in the Land of Iron: get money and pick up Kakuzu! And I have no relationship with Niwa Yukino!"

Hikari raised her head proudly, craning her slender neck. "Who believes you? Niwa Yukino has a willow's grace now, yet she hasn't married. She's clearly saving herself for someone!"

"That has nothing to do with me," Kamihane quickly shook his head.

"Really?"

"Really!" Kamihane's eyes darted as he pointed at the Goshintō on the shore. "I can give another example. When I fought Urashiki, he used Yomotsu Hirasaka to teleport me to the barren desert, and my sword was left there. If not for Kāma's special ability, I wouldn't have known how to retrieve it."

Seeing Hikari's expression soften, Kamihane continued while the iron was hot, pointing to the portal. "Now, it leads to the hall inside the base. You can try it."

Hikari's cheeks flushed red, and she quickly turned and retreated into the water, only revealing a small head, as alert as a cat.

"Y-You close it quickly! It would be troublesome if Madara comes back!" she lowered her voice, her eyes flashing with panic.

Kamihane smiled and waved his hand, and the portal disappeared in an instant, as if it had never existed. "Don't worry, I just used this move to confirm that Madara is at the Valley of the End."

"You can detect the location of others from a distance?" Hikari asked in surprise.

"Not exactly. I can only go to places I've been to. As long as I can imagine the general spatial location in my mind, I can open the portal at any time."

"You were able to find Madara because…" Kamihane looked at her, his handsome face reflecting in the moonlight like a piece of warm jade, without flaws, his eyes gleaming.

"I guessed he was there."

That coaxed Hikari out of the water, glistening water droplets flowing across her fair and translucent skin. "Will using Kāma's ability like that speed up the decompression process?"

"It'll rewind," Kamihane winked at her. "Alright, I know you care about me."

"Hmph, who cares about you?" Hikari's face flushed red. "I just don't want Urashiki to revive in your body; otherwise, I would have to kill 'you' with my own hands."

"To die under the peony, a ghost would still be amorous," Kamihane changed the subject with a suggestive remark, his hands starting to wander restlessly, winding and exploring.

Hikari was both ashamed and anxious. She grabbed Kamihane's hands and locked them in place. She then spun around to toss Kamihane to the shore.

Kamihane didn't resist and lay down on the shore, watching the stars.

"Splash."

Hikari walked out of the spring, her slender legs stepping out and deliberately stepping on Kamihane's face, her jade-like feet soft and exquisite, like the finest jade in the world.

"This is your punishment," she announced from above, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, her eyes filled with disdain.

She put on a thin robe, her exquisite body appearing faintly in the light gauze, like a hazy and misty smoke, floating into the distance.

"Where are you going?" Kamihane asked, rubbing his face.

"Looking up some information about the Uzumaki clan for someone," Hikari said coldly, without turning her head.

Kamihane stopped her. "Anything unexpected at Konohagakure?"

"Yeah, Uchiha Nian exposed his Wood Release. He was called away by the Konoha's leaders. The Third Hokage and Shimura Danzo are giving great importance to him and want to arrange an early graduation for him, promoting him to Chunin in recognition."

Kamihane chuckled, scooping up a handful of water and pouring it over his head. "Did they investigate his background?"

Hikari turned back and said, "They did, but there were no results. The Uchiha clan is surprisingly taciturn about this. But Konoha has found your brother's former girlfriend, Uchiha Yūko."

"What did they find?"

"No results. That woman is crazy."

"Also…" Hikari thought for a moment. "Most of the Uchiha clan's land was razed to the ground, but the clansmen are unharmed, which has also attracted Konoha's attention. This matter has slightly diverted Konoha's attention."

"Oh, Danzo once asked Nian if he knew who his father was."

Kamihane's brows rose slightly. "This kid, he shouldn't have stupidly said 'Uchiha Kagami,' right?"

"Of course not. He said he only knew that his father was a deserter who died on the battlefield." Hikari recalled the situation during the day. "At the time, Nian's expression was quite intriguing."

"Hmm, I see, thanks for your hard work." Kamihane didn't ask any more questions, letting Hikari turn around and leave.

After a long time, he let out a clear laugh.

Since he was a deserter, how could he die on the battlefield?

Uchiha Nian, this kid is interesting…
