Chapter 200: Chapter 93: Fierce Battle

Uzumaki Kurami clutched his chest, which was aching intensely, and grimaced as he struggled to his feet.

Though his movements were unsteady, they radiated a sense of determination.

"Oh? You can still stand after an attack of that magnitude?" Ōnoki raised his eyebrows in slight surprise and snorted coldly. "Even a ninken rarely gets back up after taking a punch from me."

Faced with Ōnoki's taunt, Uzumaki Kurami did not respond. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but he simply couldn't speak. His clenched teeth were stained with blood, and the force of the blow still raged inside him. He feared that if he opened his mouth, he would uncontrollably spew a mouthful of blood.

Just moments ago, listening to the anguished groans of his clansmen and watching one after another vibrant life wither before his eyes, he couldn't bear the torment. The scent of blood was driving him insane.

They were the last line of defense of Whirlpool Village, the entirety of their combat power concentrated here.

If they were to fall, the elderly, weak, women, and children in the village would surely meet their end at the hands of their enemies. If that happened, the Uzumaki clan would truly be finished!

Therefore, even at the cost of his own life, he could not allow the enemy to advance a single step. This battle was for the sake of protecting his home!

He roared skyward, immediately turning his grief and anger into battle intent. "Adamantine Sealing Chains!" he cried, as eight golden chains burst forth, piercing the enemies around him!

He did everything he could to kill the opponents who were trying to surround him, but just as he was about to rush to the aid of his clansmen, the small figure blocked his path.

Kurami knew that the unassuming, even slightly comical-looking man before him was none other than the Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, of Iwagakure!

Rumor had it that he was the grandson of the First Tsuchikage, Ishikawa, and the disciple of the Second Tsuchikage, Mū, a powerful ninja who had perfectly inherited the strength and Will of Stone from the previous two Tsuchikage. Even his ability to fly was testament to his strength!

Facing the small figure hovering in mid-air, Uzumaki Kurami's expression turned incredibly grave. After all, even for a ninja, flying was an extraordinary feat, making him a rare existence in the shinobi world.

Ōnoki raised his hand and formed a seal, launching the first attack. Sixteen solid stones rose from the ground, drawn into the air by his Earth Release chakra, and began to spin around him like asteroids.

He pointed his hand, and the stones shot through the air one after another, growing larger as they flew. By the time they reached Uzumaki Kurami, they were as menacing as falling rocks from a mountain.

He immediately rolled aside to evade the attack, the stones whizzing past him, the heavy wind buffeting his face. Unknowingly, his forehead was covered in cold sweat.

After the sixteen stones missed, Ōnoki changed his hand seals, preparing his next lethal move.

"Earth Release: Stone Pillar Spears!"

The ground beneath him suddenly rippled, and Uzumaki Kurami felt a jolt in his heart, immediately triggering an alarm. He leaped into the air, and the moment his feet left the ground, eight sharp stone spears erupted from the earth!

Fortunately, Kurami dodged in time and was not directly impaled, but his calf was still grazed.

With a "sizzle," blood flowed freely.

Ōnoki clenched his fingers, and the earth spears grew longer against the wind, frantically drawing in earth and stone from the ground. The speed was incredible, and before Uzumaki Kurami could even land, the earth spears had expanded into a forest of stone, pinning and imprisoning his limbs.

"Earth Release: Rock Cannon!"

Ōnoki changed his hand seals again and spat out a stone that traveled at incredible speed, instantly tearing through the air. The stone rotated rapidly and expanded in mid-air, slamming toward him like a solid cannonball!

"Aaaaaaaah!"

Uzumaki Kurami roared, his entire body erupting with chakra. Unleashing the potential that surged forth in the moment of mortal crisis, he broke free from the stone forest. The stone pillars shattered and tumbled, and he narrowly avoided the attack.

With a "boom," the stone cannonball shattered the stone pillars, and countless pieces of hard rock scattered in all directions, harming many innocents.

Uzumaki Kurami, being the closest, bore the brunt of the attack. As he landed, two bullet-like stone shards shot out from behind, piercing his back with two "thuds." Blood gurgled out.

He gritted his teeth and endured the tearing pain, with only one thought in his mind: close the distance!

This small potato's ranged ability was ridiculous. If things continued like this, he would surely be whittled down to death!

Ōnoki repeated the same trick, raising his short arms to grab the earth, causing countless large and small rock spikes to emerge from the ground, attempting to block Uzumaki Kurami's movements.

But Kurami had anticipated this. He wouldn't fall for the same trick twice. Activating Body Flicker Technique to its limit, he repeatedly dodged to close the distance...

Finally, he even predicted Ōnoki's rock spike attack, feinting a step forward to lure out the spikes in front of him, then flicking his hand, shooting a pale golden chain from his palm that firmly lodged in the rock spikes.

He pulled hard, stretching the chain taut, directly swinging himself toward Ōnoki.

However, awaiting him was a small fist.

"Earth Release: Rock Fist Technique!"

Ōnoki's eyes flashed as he landed, his fist instantly enlarged several times, becoming as hard as a rock.

This was an attack that combined both hardness and power, striking Kurami's chest directly, causing his eyes to widen as he flew backward like a rag doll.

Ōnoki subtly formed a hand seal, and he floated once more, effortlessly ascending back into the air.

Uzumaki Kurami rubbed his aching chest, raised his hand to wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth, and his gaze turned somber.

Through the previous exchange, although he had been suppressed the entire time, he had more or less understood that the opponent seemed to lose his ability to fly when unleashing that terrifyingly powerful punch.

In other words... power and speed were mutually exclusive...

He moved his feet and charged toward Ōnoki again, skillfully dodging all the obstacles along the way, and suddenly threw a punch.

With a "bang," Uzumaki Kyonoka's body was sent flying. Her frail body was covered in blood, and a deep, bone-revealing wound had been slashed across her back. Her clothes were torn, revealing her fair back.

Across from her, Mizukage Sora's face was somewhat contorted. One of his arms was missing, because it had been hit by Kyonoka's sealing tag.

"Damn it, what was that thing that tore apart and stole my entire left arm in an instant!"

"Forbidden Technique: Reverse Four Symbols Sealing Tag."

Kyonoka staggered to her feet, her beautiful face displaying a smile that accepted death as her fate.

"With tags like these, why don't you guess how many more I have?"

"You vile wench!"

Mizukage Sora roared in a moment of uncharacteristic rage.

Soon, he collected his anger and changed his tone:

"I've heard that your Uzumaki clan's sealing techniques are quite famous. If you obediently hand them over, I might consider sparing you and your clansmen."
