STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 334: Part 2: First Solo-mission

10th Zone Wilderness:

About 20 minutes later,

The flying car landed in the wilderness outside. Jeremy Night stepped out and thanked the driver. Then he told him that he would return to the same spot after completing the mission.

The middle-aged man nodded to him.

Jeremy then started walking towards the mission site. The middle-aged man's eyes flickered. He had already been contacted by several organizations.

He was doing a side job of selling information without leaving behind any evidence. Right now, he was thinking about selling information on the newcomer.

He knew that the newcomer had attracted a lot of attention. Many wanted to eliminate the newcomer who claimed to have killed Tier-4 Corrupted beasts.

The middle-aged man then entered his car and got ready to return to the city. He couldn't do some things openly. He might be under the watch of Leader Gisela, so he couldn't afford to make mistakes.

Not long after, Jeremy came to a spot filled with huge mountain rocks. He used his eye ability to check the place. There were no signs of humans or beasts.

So he took out the armor suit and began to put it on. After wearing the armor suit, he donned the scabbard belt and case holder. Now he was ready to go.

This area of the wilderness was not that barren, but he had to be watchful of the sudden appearance of corrupted beasts. Last time, he had encountered Tier-4 hybrid beasts not far from here.

As time passed, he crossed the land on foot. At the same time, his senses were heightened. He was not engaging in a duel, but he was alert.

He was using his eye ability to look at the far distance. If he wanted, he could have run, but he didn't want to take the risk. It was his first mission and his first time going into this wilderness.

He wanted to avoid unwanted confrontation, but his hope turned to dust when he encountered a strange beast a few minutes later. Why was he calling it a strange beast?

Because he had not seen or read about such a beast before. Through his eye ability, he zoomed in on its body. He saw a red reptilian lizard with six legs and a huge snake-like tongue sitting on the tree branch.

The size of the beast was almost similar to his height and 20 feet in length.

While he was looking at the beast from a distance, the beast was also looking at him from the tree. If not for his eye ability, he wouldn't have known that he was under the watch of the strange beast.

"Could it be a hybrid lizard?" he asked himself.

He had heard of hybrid dogs and other four-legged beasts, but this one had six legs. Jeremy had no choice but to walk forward.

The strange beast was in his direction toward the mission site. Just as he got closer, he removed the gun from his case and was about to shoot at the beast.

Swoosh!

In the next second, the strange beast disappeared from his view. He was left stunned.

"Lifeline beast," he uttered in surprise.

He never thought that a strange-looking beast could possibly be the lifeline beast. He didn't see anyone near him.

"What's going on?" Jeremy asked himself.

Then he looked around before continuing his walk.

"There is a person here!"

Not long after, he heard a voice. His expression turned solemn. He saw a middle-aged man appear in the distance. That six-legged beast was on his shoulder.

Seeing that, Jeremy confirmed that the beast was indeed the lifeline beast. But he was surprised to see that the middle-aged man was not wearing any armor suit.

Jeremy stood in the same spot. He wanted to see what the middle-aged man was up to.

As the middle-aged man got closer, he took a look at him.

His black hair reached up to his shoulders. His skin tone was tanned. He was wearing a combat uniform, but it was hard to tell whether he was a friend or foe.

On the other hand, the middle-aged man's gaze fell on the armor suit that had a moon insignia.

He immediately realized that the Beast Tamer was from the Shadow Moon Organization. But when he got closer, he received another surprise. He saw that the kid was a Tier-2 Beast Tamer.

He was about to walk past, but this discovery raised his curiosity. He remembered the ongoing news about the young, talented beast tamer.

Upon recalling that, he arrived in front of the kid and looked at him.

He said, "Are you Jeremy Night?"

"The young kid from the 14th zone. I didn't expect the Shadow Moon Organization to send you on a mission this early," the middle-aged man said with a grin.

The red six-legged reptile strange beast shook its head.

Seeing that, the middle-aged man smiled before saying, "I didn't expect you to be strong at such a young age. It's good for our city. So don't die young."

After saying that, the middle-aged man walked past. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared from the spot.

From beginning to end, Jeremy stood in the same spot. His heart was racing faster because he couldn't see through the middle-aged man.

There was not even a small aura leaking from him. If not for the strange lifeline beast, he would have thought the person was unawakened.

But there was no such thing as unawakened. If the person was coming from the wilderness, it meant he was extremely strong, maybe stronger than Leader Gisela.

Jeremy then took a few minutes to calm his heart. It was the first time he had come across powerful beast tamers in the wilderness.

He guessed it would be a normal occurrence in the future. Then he shook his head before continuing the journey. He wanted to complete the mission as soon as possible.

Meanwhile,

The middle-aged man muttered, "I don't know whether she cleared out the Scorpion lair or not. I hope she did. It's an important place."

The six-legged beast on his shoulder shook its head again.
