Strongest Demigod System

After getting into the bathroom, Azrael immediately looked towards his system tab to read through everything again! There was a small part of Azrael that imagined everything from yesterday had been a wild dream and Azrael needed to confirm for himself if it had really happened or not, and as Azrael saw the God Aspect tab in his system showing the words [Soul Eater] vividly, Azrael realized that it hadn't been a dream! He really got a God Aspect yesterday.

And that also meant that Azrael really killed Francis.

The realization of what he had done dawned on Azrael slowly as he stared at his reflection in the mirror. Azrael expected to feel any of the intense emotions that people usually said they felt after taking a life, but there was nothing at all in Azrael's heart. It was cold and he felt no regret.

Azrael chose this path himself. He did not have the time to regret it. He only had to walk it!

After Azrael got back yesterday, he had to sneak into the dorms to make sure that the matron wouldn't notice how late he was entering. Azrael thought about using his storage space to hide all of the clothes that had been covered in blood, but the description of the Divine Storage reminded him that he couldn't put anything inside that wasn't crafted using Divine Essence, so the clothes wouldn't enter.

So, instead, Azrael took all of his clothes and tied them in a clean cloth before putting them in his bag to be dealt with some other time. He would most likely tie them to a stone and throw them into the river when he had time.

Next, Azrael had washed up and gone straight to bed because of how tired he was. Azrael thought that he would at least have time to look through his system and check the stats and rewards that he received before falling asleep, but he was so fucking tired that he was asleep the moment his head hit the pillow!

Since Azrael still had time before he had to go to school for his first day, he opened up his system tab and quickly ran through all of the rewards from the quest that he passed yesterday. Azrael saw that the Necrosis curse had reverted back to one percent and when he looked down at his hand, he was glad to notice that the rot had also cleared out to show normal skin again.

Azrael had to make sure he didn't allow the rot to come back.

Azrael looked at how many days it would take for the rot to start spreading again and he narrowed his eyes curiously as he saw that he only had seven days. That means he had to take another life before seven days?

'Maybe I should have kept one of the lackeys alive and killed him later?'

Azrael had this thought and the amount of sheer evil present in it made Azrael a little worried. Azrael always knew he was willing to go to any lengths for power, but he didn't think it would be this easy for him to fit into the role that had been given to him. No matter how you looked at it, I shouldn't be this calm after killing three people.

'Am I a psychopath?'

The corner of Azrael's lips curled into a small smile and Azrael laughed at that thought before he just shook it away from his mind as he returned to his normal train of thought. It would have been a bad idea to keep one of the lackeys alive since Azrael knew that they recognized him. If he kept one of them alive, then they would've ratted him out to the authorities.

'I wonder if they've found the bodies.'

Thinking about the authorities brought this new thought to Azrael's mind and he couldn't help but wonder what things would be like today. This was only the first day of school and three of the students were going to be found dead. It was impossible for it not to cause wide panic in the students.

In fact, the school might even issue a lockdown because they are afraid that a mass murderer was on the loose. And the fact that the murderer killed three demigods would tell them that the murderer was also a demigod. Azrael would become a celebrity overnight.

But Azrael didn't need to worry about that because he made sure that there were no witnesses around when he killed those three. His eyesight and hearing were far beyond what a human had and even in the dead of night, he would've been able to pick out any eavesdroppers around.

Azrael finally closed up the tab showing the reward from the quest and he opened the tab that showed him all of his stats at the same time. Azrael immediately scrolled all the way to the bottom of the tab where two new sections were now attached to his stats.

There were now two Artifacts and three new God Aspects attached to Azrael's tab and Azrael felt his heart rate picking up again as he started to scroll through the description of all three of them.

The Water Shield and Atomic Freeze skills were from Francis and another of his lackeys who was also a child of Poseidon. They were both pretty self-explanatory. The Water Shield formed a shield of water around the user and protected them from attacks and the Atomic Freeze allowed the user to form water into any shape and instantly freeze the water into ice to use as a weapon.

But they were both F-rank Aspects and so Azrael knew that they were not going to be too useful very soon. And since there was no way for Azrael to improve on an Artificial God Aspect once he absorbed it, he wouldn't be able to make these Aspects any stronger.

The Battle Sense aspect, on the other hand, had a little more potential than the other two. The description of the Aspect was simple.

Battle Sense: While in battle, the user's instincts and alertness will gain a boost. At the current level, the user will gain +5 points to all Mortal Stats while in the middle of battle.

It was an insanely broken ability. The ability to gain a boost in your overall stats when you were in the middle of a battle was very impressive and Azrael couldn't help but wonder which of the two lackeys had this Aspect. If Azrael had known that the lackey had an Aspect like this, then maybe he would've kept him alive for a little longer so that the lackey could help him in leveling up the God Aspect. And then he would kill him when the God Aspect was a little higher.

Imagining what a God Aspect like this would be able to do if it were at A rank was enough to excite Azrael.

Azrael decided that he had to test out his God Aspects and see if they actually worked. Azrael was someone who didn't have a God Aspect for most of his life, so he didn't even know what it felt like to use his God Aspects, but after gaining a God Aspect through Thanatos, Azrael had a feeling like he always knew how to use this God Aspect and he just never bothered to. Like someone who always knew how to breathe but never bothered to do it because he didn't have a nose!

Azrael brought his hand up and immediately summoned the first God Aspect.
