Struggling as a Villain

Chapter 258- Wedding(2)

There was not a single priest on Clion who would have agreed to lead the wedding of Richard. Forget about that, if they had heard whose wedding it was, the members of the church would have arrived to capture Richard and stop the wedding.

That's why Gideon asked for one of his soldiers who once served the church to read the blessings.

There weren't many people attending the wedding, given it was being done on short notice. And on top of it, there was a war looming over Clion.

However, despite all that, the Emperor of Eldoria was currently present in the crowd, which greatly surprised everyone.

"Is it really okay for you to be here?" Richard asked as he stood face to face with the man who ruled over an Empire, but more than that, he was on the side of Light.

The blond man chuckled, "You are like my grandson. Of course, I had to be here."

The man had a warm smile on his lips, as he patted Richard on his shoulder.

Richard smiled in response, "Risking your position as an Emperor just to see me…I don't know how I should react."

Gideon grinned, "Just accept his blessings and thank him for joining."

While Richard was busy talking with the men, Bellarine was met by an unexpected person at the wedding.

"Olivia?" Bellarine's eyes widened upon finding her friend back from the academy.

The green-haired woman had a serious expression on her face as she said, "I came to see my students' wedding. Don't misunderstand."

Hearing those words, Bellarine sighed, when suddenly, another person arrived, "She is as stubborn with her emotions as always." The blond female made Bellarine smile in surprise,

"Lucy?" Bellarine was a classmate of both of the girls back in the academy. It has been years, more than half a century for Bellarine, to see them.

Lucy grinned as she hugged the redhead and said, "Damn girl, you have grown beautiful like a fine wine."

Bellarine giggled, "It doesn't take a lot." Glancing at Olivia she added, "Just need to frown a little less."

Olivia glared at the woman, "Who is frowning?"

"You won't believe that when the students celebrated her birthday a few days ago, she didn't smile even once." Lucy commented.

Bellarine was stunned, "Seriously, Ollie?"

The green-haired scoffed, "They just wanted to get good grades and were trying to flatter me."

"Or maybe you were just trying to act tough?" Lucy teased.

Bellarine and Lucy shared a laugh, and not so long after, Olivia was seen smiling as well.

Soon everyone was told to sit down as the bride was about to arrive.

Richard took the stage, waiting patiently for his bride with a smile on his face.

The soft sound of a piano filled the air as the wedding march began. The guests turned, their whispers fading as Amelia stepped forward.

She moved gracefully, her white dress flowing with each step. Tiny pearls lined the edges, catching the light with every step. A sheer veil cascaded down her back, swaying gently as she moved.

Her black hair was styled in loose waves, with a few strands framing her face. A delicate silver tiara rested atop her head, its tiny gemstones sparkling subtly. But it was her deep saffron eyes that stood out the most—glowing with warmth and emotion as they searched for the one waiting at the altar.

As she neared the stage, the world around her blurred, leaving only the sight of him—waiting for her, just as she had dreamed.

Richard could look at nothing but her at the moment. His eyes refused to see anything other than the person in front of him.

He stepped down the altar to hold her hand, as he voiced, "You took my breath away. You look stunning, Amelia."

Amelia's cheeks were flushed red as she lowered her gaze for a moment, before looking back up,

"Took two hours. Had to make it worth it."

Soon the duo stood before the priest, and before everyone's gaze, the vow was read,

"We are gathered here today to witness the union of two souls, bound not only by love but by the promise of a lifetime together. Marriage is a sacred bond, built on trust, respect, and unwavering devotion. It is not merely a contract, but a commitment to stand by each other in times of joy and hardship, in laughter and in sorrow, in abundance and in need."

"Now please read the vow,"

As the Priest read, Richard repeated,

"I, Scarlette Richard, vow to stand beside you, to fight for you, to protect you, and to love you—not just in the easy moments but in the hardest ones, too. This is my oath, my promise, and my truth—today, tomorrow, and for all eternity." Read latest chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

Tears welled in her eyes as Amelia heard the priest asking,

"Now, Hawkbridge Amelia, before all the witnesses, do you take Richard to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

At that moment, nothing could have stopped her from saying,

"Yes…yes, I do!"

Before the priest could have said anything else, Amelia leaned forward and kissed her groom.

Their lips met in a fiery embrace as Richard encircled his hand around her waist and deepened the kiss.

Many chuckled, and a few gasped at the sight, followed by a round of applause to congratulate them.

Amelia couldn't have imagined until a few months ago that she would marry someone she loves. All her life, she thought she would be wedded to someone she wouldn't know, and her life would become dull as most women.

However, all those thoughts were shattered by this certain man who changed her life completely by his presence.

They might have to go through several experiences, and there might be a few chances for them to get separated.

However, there was something Amelia would never regret.

And that is, falling for this man.

The priest, with a smile, announced, "And with that, you two are officially wedded!"
