Struggling as a Villain

Chapter 261- Back to Earth

It has been twenty-eight days since Richard left. He did inform Rena that he would be late for some reason, and that's why no one panicked.

However, naturally, a few women were quite restless because of the sudden delay.

Now, on the thirty-first day, Bella, Emily, Lilia, and Rena were standing in the front, a few meters away from the portal, waiting to see the man they had missed.

The portal whirled with power, the space around it deteriorating at a fast pace as everyone watched in fascination how cross-world traveling was made possible with the assistance of magic and technology.

Soon, a figure appeared from the other side; two figures appeared side by side...or maybe three. Explore more at My Virtual Library Empire

"Is that...Amelia?" Rena asked as she saw a raven-haired girl clinging to Richard with a blissful smile on her face.

"You are looking at her face? Look at her finger." Emily whispered as her eyes remained affixed to the thin ring she wore. And not only her...even Richard was wearing a ring on his ring finger.

"...!!" Everyone except Lilian flinched at the realization. The brunette maid already knew it would happen, that's why she didn't react much.

Instantly, they bolted forward and asked, "Richard?" "Brother?"

Richard shook his head, "No questions right now. First, welcome our guests."

Richard spoke as he turned towards the portal along with Amelia, and under everyone's surprised gaze, several individuals began stepping out of the portal.

The maids and butlers working at Scarlette's house, familiar to Lilia, walked out with hesitant steps as they stood in a group with their belongings in their hands.

Followed by them were two very familiar faces that made Lilia's eyes widen as she approached them,

"Mom...Violet..." Rare emotion appeared on her face as she hugged the two and felt a tear of relief leaving her eye.

Violet hugged her back with a soft smile while Cristina also shed some tears,

"Lili...how have you been?"

On the other side,

"Professor Luci? And Professor Max, too?" Emily exclaimed as she saw a few other familiar faces walking out of the portal with a nervous looks on their faces.

Nora also approached them as she said, "I thought Professor Max would always remain on the side of Light. It's quite surprising."

Considering the man's previous job Nora found it too surprising for him to join the Bates.

The lanky older one shrugged, "Headmaster's suggestion: believe in Richard. And that's what I am doing."

There were more than two hundred people who walked through the portal and once were a resident of Clion.

However, they have decided to leave their motherland for the sake of their safety. Not all of them were ready to fight and betray the Light, and Richard never asked them to participate in the war.

He brought them here just to provide them a shelter.

"You are kind, brother." Bella smiled fondly at her older brother. Although so much time has passed and they have gone through so many experiences, he still was the same; gentle and considerate.

"I just extended a helping hand, thankfully, not all of them resisted."

Bella's eyes turned sharp, "So there were a few of those idiots who refused your help?"

Richard's eyes widened slightly as he was about to reprimand his sister, after all, Gideon and the whole Hawbridge family refused to come. However, before he could have spoken,

"You can call them idiots, sister Bella, but sometimes, your devotion surpasses common sense."

Bella narrowed her eyes at the girl who just casually revealed her addition to the Scarlette family.

"I didn't give you permission to call me your sister." Bella coldly stated.

Amelia grinned, "Matter of time. Sooner or later, you will call me your sister-in-law, too."

Bella clenched her fist, feeling extremely frustrated by that smug look.

Turning her eyes towards Richard, she said, "How can you suddenly marry this girl, Brother?"

Richard tilted his head before confessing, "I intend on marrying everyone I love and care for."

"...!!" The realisation struck her instantly and the face of the girl adopted a pretty shade of red. Covering her cheeks, the girl fidgeted at her place while Amelia pinched Richard's waist with her gaze narrowed.

Richard grinned and kissed the crown of her head.

Soon Lena stepped forward and asked, "We have rooms where we can accommodate them. But are they going to stay here?"

Richard shook his head, "For a few of them, it might not be difficult to adjust. However, a few of them are used to living in normal habitats."

The headquarters of the Crimson Clan was much like a military camp with advanced ced technology. Naturally, living here would be uncomfortable and stressful for the general masses.

"So should I arrange a few houses in the nearby town?" Lena suggested but Bellarine had a better idea,

"Let's build a town just for them. Living around the people who belong to the same world might allow them to settle down well."

Lena nodded, "I will ask someone to start the construction. It will take ten days, at most."

Richard smilingly responded, "Thank you for the hard work."

As Lena walked away, Amelia couldn't help but ask, "She...isn't after you, right?"

Richard chuckled, "You don't need to worry about that. That woman is devoted to someone else."

Amelia heaved a sigh in relief before she turned towards Lilia and said, "I will go and see her."

Richard nodded before they shared a brief kiss and Amelia walked away.

Bellarine sighed, before asking her baby, "We spent quite the peaceful times…now I guess it's time for me to retake my role as a Commander."

There were warriors, but not coordinated enough. Bellarine had to organize everything from scratch in the time she had left.

Richard smiled fondly at the woman, as he held her hand and voiced, "Just for the last time, let's give it our all, Mom."
