Chapter 17: Inside the Goblin's Den
Throwing them on the ground, I look at them. Their clothes are dirty and in absolute tatters and as I stare at them, I recognize their faces. These girls are the priestess and the witch from 5 years ago, adventurers Shyazel sent off on the day he kissed me. Their appearance sends some blood rushing down to my dick.
"(So, it's you four. I remember the other two. The guy was feminine and cute enough he'd look great in woman's clothing and the other woman was also beautiful and got a strong and curvy build, no wonder they seemed familiar. I just stumbled upon some great sexmeats.)
Both girls recover from the fall and look at me, I see their eyes widening and fear covering their faces. They know me. I'm holding in almost all my flames but even some of them are still surrounding me, they are burning gently and wouldn't harm even if touched because the temperature can only increase according to the amount of flames I release.
Witch: "I... I know who you are! That dark skin, massive big-bellied body, completely bald head, beady black eyes, thick brows, and round face! A-And a fiery body of unique flames! It's the Nightmare!"
Priestess: "N-No. It... It can't be!"
I smile at them and open my arms slightly.
"Yes."
From between the legs of the priestess, I see yellowish liquid coming out and wetting her clothes even forming a small puddle. The smell of urine fills my nostrils. Crouching, I stare at her in the eyes. Her face is red and aside from fear there is shame and despair. She breathes heavily and seems like she is going to pass out.
"Am I... scary?"
Her body shakes intensely but she manages to nod her head. I turn to the other girl and she flinches, she is also shaking and utterly shocked. I can't help but get satisfied with their reactions so I retract all the flames. The flames surrounding me immediately die down and they girls visibly start to recover. The raw weight of the very small amount of flames that leaks from my body, even without a conscious exertion, is enough to crush a human into paste. It is surprising they are still alive.
"Good."
Getting up, I place my hands on my hips. It doesn't take long for them to completely calm themselves down.
"Get up and fight."
I look at the orcs smashing their fists against the translucent energy wall priestess made, creating cracks that spreads by the second. Their eyes follow mine and look at the orcs but then they immediately turn to me. Witch swallows her saliva and priestess clasps her hands together.
Witch "
Priestess: "
I just stare at them and the witch shakes her head.
Witch: "W-We will die!"
Priestess: "
I stop smiling and stare at her.
"I don't care. Just do my will, entertain me, and I won't kill you."
She freezes but priestess seems to have recovered some of her bearings.
Priestess: "Please, be merciful. I'm out of energy, I can't conjure miracles anymore. And, besides the orc, there is a shaman in there. Her spells can't do anything to its protective shield."
I shake my head.
"Excuses. Nothing but excuses."
Approaching them, I move my arms in their direction and they flinch but I touch the middle of their chest with my finger and transfer a sliver of my flames to them since my flames are purely made of enough it is enough to completely refill their energy cores.
"Done. Now go."
Then, staring at them, I release my killing intent once again.
"Or I'll kill you myself."
Both girls exchange glances, I see them losing the rest of the hope they had. They realize there is nothing they can do. They either die to me or the orcs and shaman, so they get up from the ground and turn to the orcs while I take some distance. Priestess's barrier shatters like glass under the orc's violent pummeling. Now it is the four orcs, with the hobgoblin shaman right behind them, against the human priestess and witch. They engage and the result is as I already expected: the orcs wins overwhelmingly.
"(They truly thought they had a chance? Fucking idiots.)"
No matter how many of or how powerful witch's spells were, they didn't do anything to the orcs as their flesh is just too thick and their regeneration negated everything even though priestess did a good job in holding them down and preventing them from reaching the two. However, as soon as the priestess ran out of energy, everything went from bad to worse, after all, witch had also gone empty. The two of them were ruthlessly attacked by the orc, they had all their limbs broken, releasing loud death screams in the process, and were thrown on the ground like puppets who had their strings cut before getting dragged away. While it is a pity that such pretty girls were reduced to a bloody mess like that, it was very fun to watch them struggle and try their best, and hear them plead for my help before passing out from pain was the cherry on top of the cake.
"(It was fulfilling.)"
One of the orc watches me, he is wary. Despite our different race, we are basically of the same height.
Orc: "
I smile.
"
Before the orc can say anything else, I walk up to him. He frowns but since I don't intend on stopping, he immediately attacks me by swinging his fists. Just like other monsters, goblins have fine instincts but they are also fairly intelligent creatures. It goes without saying that their evolutions grow progressively intelligent. However, they also have a tendency to ignore their instincts because they think themselves superior to anything and anyone, just like humans. In that regard, humans and goblins are quite similar. Both are intelligent and both are arrogant. Goblins, at least, have a reason to be, after all, they are monsters and, even if a goblin is about the size of a teenager, they can easily outsmart and kill a normal human. Though that doesn't mean anything in the face of overwhelming power. Grabbing his fist with one hand, I squeeze it and crush his hand, reducing it to a bloody mess of twisted flesh and broken bones. Despite us being of similar heights, my strength is far too greater than his. It's simply beyond comparison.
Orc: "
I move my other arm in the orc's direction but my hand meets a barrier, glancing behind the orc, in the middle of the nest, I see the shaman and he doesn't have the same smile it had when it was fighting the girls. He looks frightened.
"Useless."
Applying more strength, the shaman's barrier cracks and shatters, and I impale the orc's chest with my hand. He opens his eyes and mouth wide, his other hand grabs my forearms while immense pain and agony appears on his face. Grasping his core, I stare at him in the eyes as I feel the potent energy in his core going haywire on my hand.
"Lacking."
Ripping his core out of his chest, I look at the sphere of the size of a human head on my hand stained with what looks like blood but is a liquid byproduct of the condensed energy, and then look at him. He is not dead and falls to the ground but he is still alive and breathing. If I were to place the core in his chest again, in just a couple of minutes he'd be up and as good as new. And, even if I were to keep the core and take it to somewhere else, the core would build up enough energy in a couple of hours and then completely recreate the orc's body.
"(It is incredible to think monsters only die if their core gets destroyed. Not even when their head is severed or body sliced apart they truly die. And it is amazing that all monsters are like that. I'd be fun to be born a monster. Can I turn into one? Is that possible? Aside from the anatomy, the biggest difference of monsters and humans is that you got cores instead of hearts. Maybe if I switch my heart for a core, I'd turn into one? Now that's something I could find out... But I'd need test subjects... Well, knowing humans, I'm sure someone already tried it out. It should be how zombies are born, right? Corpses whose hearts were switched out for a monster's core... I should look into it, probably investigate if someone already did it and what the results are. Yes. That surely sounds fun.)"
Looking at his dark eyes, I grin.
"I'd thank you but I have no respect for unintelligent monkeys."
I close my hand and crush his core, destroying it and killing him as he breathes his last breath and becomes motionless. His broken core soon dissipates into particles. Turning to the hobgoblin shaman, I walk to the goblin's nest and I see that my presence made all monsters alert and hesitant, my killing intent and flames are the reason for that. They make my presence absolutely overwhelming. The goblins are the first to rush at me but I easily take care of them with just a single hit to the chest, completely destroying the torso of whatever goblin that dares to approach me. Soon enough the rest of the goblins get scared and flee out of fear but the shaman handles them, he punishes their cowardice with a swift death, something I can't help but pity, after all, I love cowards.
"(Those who run from death truly know the worth of their lives. They fight dirty and run because they know they only have one life. And they are the only ones who can try again, if they lose they can come back stronger while the brave die trying to prove to the world they are badass. Pathetic.)"
I could kill all orcs and the shaman with my bare hands but I don't intend on losing a single second more in this place fighting worthless things. Besides, I accumulated flames so I should use it. I unleash a fraction of my flames, making them cover my body and I grasp the cores of all the monsters inside the nest and crush them. In an instant all monster presence in the nest disappear as they all die.
"(It was such a great decision to master energy control. I fucking love it.)"
There are many other humans and even beings from other races in here, from what I can see there are therianthopes, elves, dwarves, halflings and lizardfolk. Most of them, however, seems to have lost their minds after the incessant and brutal abuse goblins are known of. I could just leave them be but they wouldn't live any longer but exist as empty husks and that is pitiful. Grasping the necks of each and everyone whose minds were destroyed by the goblins through the flames, I crush their windpipe and cease their lives in the most painless way possible. The only ones I spared are a therianthrope man who was probably mistaken by the goblins for a female and a lizardfolk woman, the rest I killed them all.
"(Better luck in your next life.)"
Looking at the four adventurers and the other two I saved I can't help but become pensative.
"(Watching those two fight was entertaining but it certainly isn't enough of a reason to save them but leaving them like this sounds like way too much of a waste. They all have good looks.)"
As I stare at them an idea cross my mind.
"(I should use them as sexslaves. I was needing some action anyways, besides it's not everyday you get to have such high quality bitchmeat. While at it I could train them, watch them grow stronger, and kill them if they turn out to be weaker than I expected or I get bored. Alright, sounds good.)"
Lifting the dozens of bodies up in the air, including the five unconscious people and the dead swordsman, I carry them and exit the cave. Heading out of the cave's surroundings, I go to an open space where there aren't that many trees. Lining the corpses on the ground, I open holes in the earth to fit their bodies into and burry each one of them. After doing so, I also create makeshift crosses out of branches and place one on top of each grave. When all of them are resting their bodies and being embraced by the earth, I stand still in silence for a full minute, just looking at how many have died.
"(May your next lives be happy and full of good memories.)"
Lifting the bodies of the five survivors and the dead swordsman, I take them to the pond where my temporary home is and place them on the ground. Touching the body of each and everyone I mend their wounds, knit their flesh and restore their bones. Even the swordsman whose head was destroyed I simply restore it back to how it was, however, he is still dead. But that isn't nothing I can't deal with. On the palm of my hand I summon a large magenta blazing flame. As the flame burns madly I remember the True Flame Prayer I made as the leader of the Sun God Cult in my past life.
"Oh, True Flame, be merciful and kind. Grant me the power to burn as bright and lively as you."
My flame is not like any other flame, it's purely made of energy and the most powerful thing I ever created. I refined it, implemented it and improved it with every life I lived so this is my ultimate master piece. Not only that but I converted all the neutral energy in my body into these flames so my energy and the flames are the same thing. The True Flame as I call it is the absolute pinnacle of flames in every aspect. It was created mixing the aspects of all kinds of flames that I found in my journey so it burns infinitely and can do things that are beyond what any flame can do. Though it is not in in its full power as there is a long way until I accumulate enough flames inside me to use it in all its glory. Despite that, however, part of its properties are working fine. And in this situation, what I need is the Aspect of Resurrection.
"Burn away all the flaws of my despicable body and repair my broken soul. Allow me to stand above all as a perfect and pure flame. Drive away darkness and light my path with your supreme brightness so I can achieve all that is mine by right. For that is my fate and mine alone."
After clenching the flame in my fist, I point my hand at the swordsman and the magenta flames surrounds his body. I regulate the temperature to not burn him and push the flames into his body and he immediately looks healthier, his complexion improves just as quickly and after a long and deep breath he returns to the world of the living. Watching all this happen I smile feeling proud of my creation but I also feel an urge to grow stronger and I squeeze my hands.
"Glory to the True Flame. Praise the True Flame. May the True Flame consume all. Flames to flames. (I could only use it at full power just once, only once in more than hundreds of lives. I want... no. I need to grow stronger, strong enough to burn everything in one fell swoop. How fun wouldn't that be? I can't wait.)"
Going into the pond, I wash my body minuciously, getting rid of all the smell and filth from the goblin's den as I withdraw my flames.
"(All goblins deserve to fucking die. Those fuckers are absolutely disgusting.)"
As I'm doing so, I hear and feel someone waking up. It is the priestess, she opens her eyes and they move in her sockets. She lifts her arms and stares at her hands but then she rapidly sits up and hurriedly looks around, her head turns from side to side before she focus at me. Shortly after her, the witch also wakes up and she has a similar reaction. Then the martial artist awakens. After looking around, they come together and hug each other while crying tears of joy. Watching that, I momentarely use my flames to lift the three of them and throw into the pond. When they emerge from the water the first thing they see is the naked me cleaning myself.
"Oh, True Flame, be merciful and kind. Grant me the power to burn as bright and lively as you. Burn away all the flaws of my despicable body and repair my broken soul. Allow me to stand above all as a perfect and pure flame. Drive away darkness and light my path with your supreme brightness so I can achieve all that is mine by right. For that is my fate and mine alone. Glory to the True Flame. Praise the True Flame. May the True Flame consume all. Flames to flames."
They exchange looks and are very confused but I turn and stare at them.
"..."
I remain silent, waiting for them to repeat my words. One by one the start to recite the prayer.
Priestess/Martial Artist/Witch: "Oh, True Flame, be merciful and kind.
I nod. Hearing them satisfies me.
"Flames to flames. Yes. Good."
I then point at the water.
"Since you're already up, clean yourselves. If the others don't wake up until you're done, drag them and clean them. I'll also do the same."
The martial artist looks confused but she is visibly annoyed and just as she opens her mouth to say something, both priestess and witch panic and put their hands on her mouth.
Witch: "A-Alright."
Priestess: "Y-Yeah, we'll do it. Absolutely."
Glancing at them, I focus at the martial artist.
"Obedience suits you well. Both of you. And it pleases me. Although I can tell your friend isn't as obedient. But that won't be a problem."
Priestess and witch strongly shakes their head.
Witch: "I-It won't! We assure you!"
Priestess: "Yeah! I-It won't!"
Hearing them, I throw water at my face.
"I know. That's the way things should be, if you want to stay alive."
