Chapter 773 - 767: Start Squandering Money, Begin Bankruptcy (Part I)
Chapter 773: Chapter 767: Start Squandering Money, Begin Bankruptcy (Part I)
Didn’t you hear Shaoning Locke say that he is the heir for over twenty generations? These twenty generations are calculated based on the current head of the Locke Family. This means that Shaoning Locke is the descendant of the other party for about twenty generations. What do you expect from someone like Shaoning Locke other than a life of luxury and revelry?
Upon this realization, Finn Lewis thought that if there were ever an external enemy within the entire Galactic Federation, the Federation would be in a tragic state immediately.
“Violet Davis, have this villa rearranged for me. When can the things that need to be bought be sent over?” Finn Lewis asked, shaking his head as he looked at the villa in front of him.
The whole villa was basically empty, lacking everyday items. There was plenty of DIY space left in the main bedroom, bathroom, swimming pool, and other places. You could redesign these spaces as you wished.
“Your Highness, all the items have been purchased and are being shipped over,” Violet Davis replied respectfully. As for what Finn Lewis had just discovered, Violet Davis showed no reaction. In the Galactic Federation, such unimaginable things were commonplace. Didn’t you see that the school didn’t care at all?
Her calmness in the face of such events suggested that the school considered these things normal. Unlike Violet Davis, Kay Lee couldn’t keep her cool. Hence, when Finn Lewis was looking at these things, Kay Lee decisively blushed and turned away to leave. She felt such events might be hard to find even in novels.
Nevermind seeing it in reality. It destroyed her understood norms. Therefore, Kay Lee hastily went to visit the villa. However, upon entering the interior of the villa, she realized there was not much to see. The villa was bare.
The villa was completely clean and empty, making Finn Lewis speechless. However, Finn soon learned why. According to Luna Starfield, the elite academy sells the furnishings every year because new students enroll and others leave.
The new inhabitants would naturally refuse to use others’ belongings. After all, they are all nobles or royalties. Why would they use items that have been used by others? Thus, many items that had only been used for a year and were almost brand new, or even unused, were sold.
After the previous owner left, the ownership of the villa, along with all the items inside, reverted to the school. The school wouldn’t give these items to the next student. Even if they did, the new owners would quickly throw these items away. To their surprise, this became a major source of income for the school.
These used items were almost brand new or entirely new. Yet, you wouldn’t think items used by nobles and royals would be subpar, would you? Even though the prices were very high when sold, it was pure profit and extremely lucrative.
Finn was now somewhat influenced by the school, which appeared to be a sort of vampire. It seemed like money was needed everywhere around the school. The school offered services to the students, but the services were considered low-grade in the eyes of the nobles and the royals.
They thought it was better to buy their own stuff, and this created a strange loop.
“However, I like this place,” Finn Lewis breathed deeply. The fact that this was the state of affairs meant that money was a good thing. Currently, Finn Lewis didn’t have much except an abundance of money. Compared to other noble and royal families or even regular royal families, the Solar System’s power was far behind.
One could describe the discrepancy as heaven and earth, but for now, money was the easiest thing to come by for Finn. After all, the supply of Roberts Coin, although it was considered a rare mineral resource, was unlimited for Finn. And Finn had also previously asked if Roberts Coin could be exchanged for credit.
Luna told Finn that although this item was one of the rare mineral resources, it could still be directly exchanged for credit with her, despite the high cost. Finn’s current credit amount has exceeded the 1 billion mark, and it was still increasing at a rate of millions per day.
Although this number was terrifying, considering the things Finn has currently unlocked, to exchange for any item usually meant quoting a terrifying number too. Thus, this amount of credit could be spent extravagantly.
“Violet Davis, is all the stuff used of the highest quality?” Finn asked after some thought.
“Yes, all the items are the most expensive.” Violet Davis asserted.
“Are there people living in the villas around me?” Finn pointed to the distant hill and asked.
“No, Your Highness, these villas around you are currently unoccupied. Your villa’s location has the best view.” Violet Davis nodded.
“Great, now rent all the villas around my villa for me, and then rent one more circle of villas outside of that. Tell me, how many villas are there in total?” Finn said decisively.
“There are 47 in total.” Violet Davis was slightly stunned. She had no idea what Finn was up to, but she quickly provided her answer. She had all this information in her mind.
“Good. Rent all these villas. I prefer peace and quiet and don’t like having neighbors.” Finn nonchalantly motioned with his hand.
Violet Davis: “…” Violet was left speechless. She wanted to say, ‘Your Highness, these villas are not adjacent. There are tens of kilometers between two villas. You can vaguely see where the other side is, but you can’t even see the outline of the other villa. How could this possibly disturb you?’
However, in the end, Violet decided to hold her tongue. Although she hadn’t known Finn for a long time or been providing service for him for an extended period, she had some understanding of Finn’s style. Finn’s extravagant spending habits were, honestly, somewhat alarming to Violet.
“Is there an issue? Does the school not allow a student to rent multiple villas?” Seeing that Violet had not replied, Finn looked at her and asked.
“Oh no, of course not, Your Highness.” Violet snapped back to reality and immediately responded. It’s just 47 villas, right? Isn’t it only a few ten thousands star credits a year for rent? Compared to his spending power, this kind of money is just a drop in the bucket for Finn Lewis.
