Chapter 111: The Great Event I: The Dragon Ninja Battle (Part 6)_2

Bai Qiuwu held the knee of her right arm with her left arm and rested her chin on her right hand as she asked softly,

"So, do I have any ways to counter this?"

"If I must say... I, Old Sun, have two methods."

"What are they?"

"The first method is to stretch out your finger in the moment of clarity and pierce your own ears deaf. If you can't hear the flute, you won't fall for that black-robed child's tricks."

"I'll consider it," Bai Qiuwu sighed, "and the second method?"

"Tight-Binding Spell."

Sun Wukong slowly uttered these three words.

Bai Qiuwu hesitated for two seconds, then tilted her head at him: "Are you trying to make me laugh?"

She thought to herself, in "Journey to the West," wasn't the Tight-Binding Spell used by Tang Sanzang to control Sun Wukong? What use could it have at a time like this?

"No, by stimulating your brain with the Tight-Binding Spell, it might break his Illusion Technique." Sun Wukong said disdainfully.

"Then I'll give it a try, teach me."

"It's not hard, listen carefully to Old Sun..." Sun Wukong grinned, showing his teeth, "teach that black-robed child a lesson, and do not disappoint Old Sun, understand?"

After a while, Black Wukong opened her eyes again, returning to that auditorium aisle bathed in cool-toned lights. She raised her Jingu Bang, using the shaft to deflect an incoming lead-gray dagger.

Looking up, just as Fan Gu was about to play the flute, she pressed her metal-armored right hand against her forehead, quietly chanting something.

Suddenly, lines of golden scripture emerged from nowhere, circling around her head; they would contract like a golden hoop and then expand like a halo.

Black Wukong held her forehead, moaning in a somber tone. The intense pain coming from her brain revived each of her limp brain nerves.

The illusions ceased to exist.

All that remained was a rage building in her chest, like a wild beast waiting to be unleashed...

"How is this possible?"

Fan Gu watched this scene, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, shockingly releasing the long flute from his lips.

Black Wukong lifted her eyes ablaze with a fiery golden flame, glaring deeply at him.

With one hand on her forehead, maintaining the release of the Tight-Binding Spell, she hurled the Samadhi True Fire forward, scorching the corridor's walls. The LED ceiling lights sparked and went out with a snap.

The lights flickered on and off, and eventually, the entire corridor plunged into darkness. Read exclusive content at empire

In the pitch-black world, only the bright red trail of the Samadhi True Fire could be seen cutting through the air.

Fan Gu, while tucking the flute into his wide sleeve, quickly retreated to the right with agile movements.

At that moment, due to the surrounding darkness, his attention nearly wholly centered on the flames. However, he could still feel another powerful force hurtling towards him.

So, as the two forces converged on him, his body turned into a puff of dust and reappeared in the distance.

Yet, at that instant, a dark golden staff surged straight at him, piercing through his right chest, skimming past the position of his heart, and pinning him to the wall.

Fan Gu lowered his head, his hands covering his chest, the demonic mask on his face falling off to reveal a pale face.

"How is this possible, you're over here... So, the two forces I just felt, one of them was Samadhi True Fire, what was the other?"

"Somersault Cloud." Black Wukong leaned close to his ear and answered his question, "In the dark, you couldn't discern my position, so you mistook the Somersault Cloud for my movement."

Upon hearing this, Fan Gu turned his head in shock, only to see a mass of billowing black clouds lingering in a corner of the aisle—Black Wukong had used this as a decoy, deceiving his senses in the darkness.

At this moment, his eyes bulged, bloodshot and focused, his trembling lips spat out the words.

"Spare my life."

"It seems, apart from Illusion Technique, you are good for nothing else."

Black Wukong coldly mocked, then pulled the Jingu Bang from his chest and swung it at his head, knocking him unconscious on the spot.

He then controlled the Somersault Cloud to come beneath his feet, stepped on it, and leaned slightly forward as he quickly flew toward Theater 5.

Moments later, he used the head of the Jingu Bang to forcefully burst open the cinema's main doors, looked up, and saw only two figures amid the devastated theater.

"You are..."

Black Wukong frowned slightly, staring intently at the gray humanoid figure in the theater.

The strange thing spread its hands, slowly climbed up from the ground, twisted the head that had just been glued back on with a spider web, and, without turning its head, said, "Unfortunately, you're one step too late."

"Where's my brother?"

Black Wukong lowered his face, asking almost word by word.

The strange thing sighed, turned its head to look at Black Wukong, and pointed toward a break in the theater.

"Miss Sun Wukong, your brother was thrown onto the street by that group of ninjas. I tried my best but couldn't keep him safe, only managed to kill one ninja."

As he spoke, he pointed to the torn red ninja outfit on the ground, and the pool of blood: "That ninja was strong; my head came off."

The strange thing sighed again, lifted its head, and placed it back onto its neck.

"Answer me, why did those ninjas want to capture him?"

Black Wukong coolly barked a question.

"Your brother is on Luo Dehua Commercial Street, you'll understand once you see," Xiaohongmao said, "I advise you to hurry, or he'll soon be killed by those ninjas."

"And you are?"

"Magic Girl, Xiaohongmao."

"Magic Girl..."

Speaking of Magic Girl, Bai Qiuwu immediately thought of Bai Zini, still in Wanxiang City, and knew that with her personality, she definitely would transform into Magical Girl Ash and battle those ninjas, "My sister is still..."

Before he could finish, he was interrupted by the strange thing: "Don't worry, my friend will go help her, isn't that right, student Xiaohongmao?"

Magical Girl Xiaohongmao nodded at Black Wukong upon hearing this.

"Who exactly are you?"

Black Wukong turned his head and stared intensely at her, asking in a somber voice.

"I will aid your sister. She is my friend too, please believe me," Xiaohongmao said calmly.

"That's pretty much the situation, if I were you, I would have already gone. You've already missed your chance once, and if you're late this time, your brother will be a dead body," the strange thing uttered, sitting on the ground, then sprawling out in a spread-eagle position, continuing to speak.

"Ah, I'm really exhausted, coming from so far to help you, and still being doubted by you, truly a thankless task, Miss Sun Wukong..."

Black Wukong remained silent, slowly turned his head, and looked toward the rightmost break in the theater.

Her sharp hearing distinctly captured the savage beast roars and deafening gong sounds coming from Luo Dehua Street. All these noises filled her ears, causing her chest to throb intensely.

She took a deep breath, raised her eyes to the strange thing, and said, "Thanks..."

After finishing, her feet on the Somersault Cloud grew as noisy as a steam engine, and in an instant, it shot her body toward the exit of the theater, disappearing from the strange thing's view.

The strange thing used its peripheral vision to watch her leave, still lying on the ground, making no effort to get up.

It stared at the ceiling, muttering to itself.

"Okay, Black Wukong, Black Judge, Ninja Sect Master, Ink Writer, Disaster Dragon, Ke Xiaomo, all are present, now the battlefield outside isn't something for minor characters like us to meddle in... Let's rest for a bit, then go see our dear friend... lovely Miss Ash."

"Then get up," Xiaohongmao said, channeling magic power into her ruby Magic Wand, lifting her feet off the ground, and leaving the theater ahead of the strange thing.
