Superman's Saiyan little brother

Chapter 596: Chapter 597: The Stark Couple's Whereabouts

"So, after reaching an agreement with Earth's dimension, you absorbed the power of another dimension, making Earth's dimension stronger, but it didn't actually fix the original dimensional breach?" Robert and Clark began to understand the events the Ancient One had experienced after she explained the situation. While Robert wasn't particularly interested in how the Ancient One killed Nosty and took over its dimension, he was concerned about the changes in Earth's dimension. Since Robert lived on Earth, any changes to the dimension would inevitably affect the planet itself.

This was evident from the numerous entities now eyeing Earth's dimension. The current state of Earth's dimension might even be more dangerous than when the breach first appeared.

"Yes, it seems that either the Nosty Dimension didn't possess the power to mend the breach, or Earth's dimension doesn't wish to repair it. Although Earth's dimension has grown stronger, this isn't necessarily good for us," the Ancient One replied quietly.

"Is there any way to permanently fix the dimensional breach?" Robert asked, frowning.

"We need to find the missing rules or forces from Earth's dimension to completely seal the breach, but it looks difficult," the Ancient One suggested.

As Robert prepared to inquire further about the missing rules, the Earth's dimension seemed to undergo another change. Both Robert and Clark couldn't quite grasp what was happening, but the Ancient One's expression shifted. Robert sensed her energy fluctuate momentarily, growing weaker before stabilizing.

"Is it that eager for power?" The Ancient One's figure began to fade, becoming translucent. She hurriedly told Robert and Clark, "You must be vigilant about dimensional events. Strong beings might exploit this opportunity to cause chaos on Earth. The dimension's hunger for energy is overwhelming, and I can't intervene..."

With these words, the Ancient One vanished completely, leaving no trace of her presence. Robert couldn't sense where she had gone, nor could Clark, who had been closely observing her. It was as if the Ancient One had melded with the world.

"Did you understand that?" Clark asked Robert after the Ancient One disappeared.

"Yes, it means we need to pay attention to dimensional issues and be ready for battle," Robert shrugged. "We've seen Earth's dimension's hunger for energy before, like during the fight with Mephisto and later with the Dark Dimension's invaders. I didn't expect it to escalate to this level."

"Do you think its consciousness might someday turn against us and the life on Earth?" Clark asked, concern evident in his eyes.

"Who knows? I don't even know if it qualifies as a living being. Let's hope it becomes a life form when it decides to act against us, otherwise, we might have to destroy Earth to deal with it..." Robert replied, spreading his hands helplessly. His knowledge of dimensions was limited, and the existence of a dimensional consciousness was beyond his understanding.

"But as I said, if the dimensional consciousness does turn hostile, we can still destroy Earth and eliminate the dimension. But the cost would be enormous..."

"I'll keep an eye on supernatural events, and you should inform the Avengers," Clark nodded before disappearing.

"Indeed, the Avengers should be notified, but this is more of a job for someone like Constantine. He might spot something in advance," Robert mused. Instead of heading straight to the Avengers' base, he opened a portal to contact the Guardians.

A moment later, Robert arrived at Constantine's magical base. Unlike the Guardians, Constantine had noticed the dimensional anomaly and was not surprised to see Robert. He also wasn't particularly worried, seeing this as an opportunity.

Constantine had been out of the spotlight recently, hunting vampires and werewolves and amassing wealth from Tony Stark. Yet, money wasn't what Constantine needed most. He was looking for a big dimensional event that could earn him significant rewards from Robert. No one knew how much debt Constantine had accumulated, but it was clear that previous events hadn't fully settled his debts.

Moreover, just because Constantine had repaid some debts didn't mean he wouldn't incur new ones, especially with Robert's help. Who knew how many more dimensions Constantine would make deals with?

"Don't worry, I'm aware of the situation. I've been distributing the money I got from Stark to widen my information network. I'll know about any dimensional events that occur," Constantine said excitedly upon Robert's arrival.

"Good, but don't underestimate this situation. The Ancient One disappeared in front of me, and if you're careless, you might end up dead without knowing why," Robert warned.

"The Ancient One disappeared?" Constantine's eyes narrowed, excitement growing. He hadn't felt this thrill in a while; the more dangerous the event, the greater the opportunity.

Seeing Constantine's reaction, Robert left for the Avengers' base to inform Tony Stark.

Within the Avengers, Martian Manhunter was the primary member capable of dealing with such dimensional events. However, this didn't mean the other Avengers were useless. Such events wouldn't only involve powerful beings...

Like rescuing a princess from a castle doesn't only involve facing the big bad, dimensional events wouldn't only feature top-tier entities. If many powerful beings were to come, they might need underlings to handle territorial disputes, giving the Avengers a role.

"What a chaotic time," Tony Stark sighed after Robert left. He was still grappling with the issues of vampires and werewolves, unable to find a perfect solution despite having nearly perfect specimens like Morbius and Blade. Stark even wondered if there was a gap in his knowledge.

As supernatural events increased, they were mostly minor and hadn't caused major issues, but dimensional events were different. This time, multiple dimensions might target Earth's dimension, posing a greater threat than the Dark Dimension had.

It was also possible that strong beings from the Dark Dimension would take advantage of this. Thus, Stark needed to monitor Morbius and Blade closely to prevent any dark dimension schemes.

"It indeed feels like a troubled time. I did some calculations: since you identified as Iron Man and became public, supernatural events have increased. As the number of superheroes and their followers grew, so did these events. It's hard to say there's no connection," Martian Manhunter remarked, giving Stark a knowing look.

"Me? I encountered a Saiyan before I became Iron Man, which is how I learned about supernatural events. I lived for decades without encountering anything extraordinary, except for my parents' mysterious disappearance..." Stark paused, refusing to take the blame.

"Before you, neither the Saiyan nor Superman were widely known. Supernatural events were considered urban legends. After you became Iron Man and gained fame, these events increased," Martian Manhunter pointed out, then added thoughtfully, "As for your parents, I recall there were many alien ships arriving on Earth in those years, but few leaving. I saw your parents boarding a ship off-world."

"What?!" Stark, reacting like an enraged lion, grabbed Martian Manhunter but quickly apologized, asking with a hint of desperation, "Are you serious?"

"Yes, but don't get your hopes up. Their ship was advanced for Earth, perhaps more so than what we can currently build. But in the vast universe, it wasn't much. The universe is far more dangerous than the ocean; their ship was like an old fishing boat," Martian Manhunter explained.

"Even so, it's better than them dying on Earth, victims of HYDRA's schemes. They were Earth's first space explorers; I should be proud of them!" Stark forced a smile, though his face twitched as he tried to keep his emotions in check.

"I have some matters to attend to, so I'll be going. Let's pause the vampire and werewolf research and focus on creating weapons to deal with supernatural events," Martian Manhunter said, patting Stark's shoulder before disappearing.

As he left, the lab fell silent, as if no one were there.

Meanwhile, Constantine began his preparations, expanding his intelligence network and contacting Hellboy. Constantine was not only using Hellboy for leverage but also eyeing his demonic lineage, hoping to use him to lure out more significant threats.
