Robert didn't expect that after obliterating the clown's soul, such a change would occur. It was clear that the one tortured and empowered was the Skrull, yet the bound life force was the clown's.

"Buzz!" However, Robert reacted swiftly, his power surging out to contend with the invading force of the dark dimension.

Previously, Robert had repeatedly dealt with the shadow masks, even with the dark dimension's power backing them. Those shadow masks still couldn't escape their ultimate destruction because the dark dimension's power never directly clashed with Robert...

Individual power is insignificant before a vast dimension. Even Lucifer couldn't withstand the Earth's dimension head-on. When the Ancient One encountered the relatively weaker Noshtai dimension, she relied on Naxi's power and the Time Stone to successfully seize it.

Clearly, the dark dimension wasn't a weak one. Among the many dimensions Robert had encountered, it was certainly one of the top ones. Thus, after Robert blocked the dark dimension's power, he struggled greatly.

Luckily, this wasn't the dark dimension itself; otherwise, Robert would have been swallowed by its power. The rules of the Earth's dimension began to awaken under the dark dimension's intrusion, gradually expelling the dark dimension's influence.

Perhaps there was once an agreement between the Earth's dimension and the dark dimension, allowing the shadow masks and shadow army to appear on Earth freely. However, the Earth's dimension had changed. Unless the dark dimension was willing to pay a new price, the Earth's dimension wouldn't let it act recklessly...

Therefore, although Robert felt immense pressure, he managed to hold on. Meanwhile, he hoped the Martian Hunter could quickly make progress and find the key memories of the Skrull because Robert couldn't hold out for long...

Immediately, Robert understood that the dark dimension and the Earth's dimension had likely struck a shady deal!

But Robert couldn't figure out why a single Skrull would warrant such a high price from the dark dimension. Could it really profit from this? The Earth's dimension was far greedier than before, and the dark dimension's cost this time must have been significant, much higher than the value of a Skrull's soul!

What Robert didn't know was that the dark dimension's substantial investment was partly because of him. Previously, Robert had destroyed several shadow masks, ruining the dark dimension's arrangements on Earth. The dark dimension naturally sought opportunities to re-establish its foothold...

"Buzz!" Without the Earth's dimension's resistance, the dark dimension's power instantly overwhelmed Robert's soul, scattering the force he used to shield the Skrull's soul. The Skrull's soul was immediately devoured by the dark dimension, and the Martian Hunter's consciousness returned pale-faced to his body.

When Robert's soul returned, he vaguely sensed that after consuming the Skrull's soul, the dark dimension's power left a potent force on Earth, which then disappeared...

Robert intended to trace this dark dimension power, but he was also injured and couldn't spare the strength to pursue it...

"It seems the dark dimension has new plans. We'll need to be cautious. The current state of the Earth's dimension could pose unknown risks..." Robert sighed, feeling the pain in his soul, admitting that Earth, whether in the Dragon Ball world or this one, was indeed a troubled planet.

"Are you okay?" After regaining his composure, Robert ignored the soul pain, which was slowly healing, and looked at the Martian Hunter. "Did you find any useful information in that Skrull's memory?"

"Indeed, there are more than one Skrull on Earth!" The Martian Hunter's green face was pale, not due to shock from the Skrull's memory, but because the dark dimension's power was overwhelmingly potent. If it weren't for their souls belonging to the current dimension, the dark dimension might have taken both Robert and the Martian Hunter's souls.

"How many of them are there? Who have they impersonated?" Tony Stark's eyes narrowed as he pulled up Jarvis' database and asked the Martian Hunter.

"There are over a hundred individuals this Skrull has interacted with in person, but I don't know who they have disguised as..." The Martian Hunter sighed, looking somewhat embarrassed.

"The time was too short, and this Skrull's core memory was well hidden, not placed separately but mingled with many disguised memories..."

"However, I did glean some key information. Their primary targets for impersonation are influential people without superpowers!"

"Originally, we superheroes were their prime targets, but it seems no Super-Skrull has arrived on Earth, so they can't impersonate superpowered heroes. But this doesn't mean we won't become their targets once a Super-Skrull arrives!"

"I understand. I'll think of ways to prevent this..." Tony Stark said thoughtfully.

"It's my fault. If I had known the clown was a life force bound by the dark dimension, I wouldn't have destroyed his soul. I should have given you more time to examine his memories..." Robert sighed, feeling a bit guilty.

"No, if I had been quicker in locating his memory, we wouldn't have only this much information..." The Martian Hunter shook his head, taking the blame upon himself.

"By the way, did you see Carol in his memory? The Captain Marvel you mentioned!" Robert suddenly remembered and asked the Martian Hunter.

"No, there was no memory of the universe in this Skrull's mind. He must have partitioned those memories separately..." The Martian Hunter shook his head again, having found no trace of Carol.

"I need to go!" Robert's eyes gleamed as he vanished, leaving only a word.

"What's this about?" Tony Stark looked at the Martian Hunter, seeking an explanation.

"Carol has a connection with the Saiyans," the Martian Hunter said succinctly after organizing his thoughts.

"Oh?" Tony Stark raised an eyebrow, his expression changing slightly.

"Not the relationship you're thinking of, but a network tied to Supergirl," the Martian Hunter clarified, cutting off Tony's line of thought.

"Oh, I see. I'll work with Jarvis to figure out how to prevent impersonation and see if we can find any clues from this guy's body..." Tony Stark refocused on the Skrull's corpse.

After the clown's soul was lost, the Skrull reverted to his original form, sans the black patterns. The Avengers finally understood why Robert had looked at the Martian Hunter so oddly before.

Indeed, this Skrull did look quite similar to the Martian Hunter. To Earth's eyes, the two could easily be mistaken as the same species, save for minor differences like facial markings and ear shapes...

Soon, the Skrull's body was taken to the lab. Tony Stark knew his workload was about to increase, making him more inclined to seek assistance.

"Should I recruit some highly intelligent students without superpowers to help? Like how Stark Industries hires interns?" Tony Stark pondered, a capitalist thought surfacing.

Even though more superpowered events and beings emerged after Tony revealed his identity as Iron Man, not all could join the Avengers.

In fact, some superpowered individuals had more complex motives compared to students. However, recruiting ordinary people would compromise the Avengers' base's secrecy.

Despite having vampires and werewolves' descendants in the Avengers, their lives were in the Avengers' hands, and Tony Stark and Jarvis monitored them closely, ensuring they couldn't expose the base.

But students were different. Even with strict rules and contracts, they might accidentally reveal the base's location...

Thus, Tony Stark only had the idea for now, planning to have Stark Industries evaluate potential recruits first.

Meanwhile, as Tony Stark contemplated finding help, Robert arrived at the Savage Island. The Kents and the Danvers were still there, given the recent troubles, and Clark hadn't let them return home.

With everything but a populous presence, the Savage Island was quite a good retirement spot. The Kents and the Danvers didn't mind the change...

However, Robert wasn't there to see the Kents or the Danvers but went straight to the Kryptonian ship to meet Jor-El.

"Robert, what brings you here in such a hurry?" Jor-El greeted Robert warmly.

"When Carol was here, she must have left a way to contact her, right?" Robert stated his purpose directly. "Please, contact her for me. I have something important to tell her!"

"Alright." Jor-El didn't waste any time, activating the quantum communication device to try reaching Carol.

"..." Inside the ship, Jor-El and Robert exchanged glances after a while of silence from the device. Robert couldn't tell if it was broken, couldn't connect, or if Carol was out of service.

"I can't find Carol's identifier. It seems to no longer exist..." Jor-El said solemnly after examining the device.

"Is that so?" Robert's eyes flickered as he vanished.

"Is something wrong? Earth seems quite unique, with so many unexpected incidents. I wonder if Carl can always protect Earth..." Jor-El sighed softly, murmuring as Robert disappeared.

"Crack!" On the other side, Robert swiftly left the Savage Island without even greeting the Kents, heading straight to a previously disliked aura and crashing into the core of a building.

"Alert! Alert! Alert!"

"Unauthorized entry in the director's office!"

"Requesting support! Requesting support!"

"Everyone out!" However, as SHIELD agents rushed into the office, Nick Fury barked at them, causing confusion. Fury's dissatisfaction grew as he continued, "What? Do you not follow my orders anymore? Get out!"

"Yes, sir!" The agents lowered their heads and left the office, closing the door behind them. Even Coulson and Rumlow, though puzzled, obeyed and exited, their expressions notably different.
