Supreme Upgradation System: Cultivating in a Demonic Sect

There were three ways how Li Feng could earn various kinds of cards from the system. First there were daily missions. Everyday he would be given a bunch of new missions that he needed to complete within that day. This missions were extremely simple and could be completed without him working too hard.

Completing them would reward him with a few regular cards based on the difficulty of the mission. For example, if the mission was to hunt down a wild wolf, he would be rewarded with almost a hundred regular cards. But if the mission was to just do just a few push ups then he would just get one or two regular cards as reward in that case.

If he completed all the given daily missions everyday for a whole week without missing any of them then at the end of the week he would get an advanced card as reward. Other than that there would be occasional special missions that could reward him with the rare advanced cards. Those missions would be harder compared to the daily missions.

As for the Ultimate card, there were hidden missions and completing such missions would reward Li Feng with these most valuable cards.

But as Li Feng had no idea what these hidden missions actually were, he did not have any surefire way to farm for these most valuable cards. So he could only depend on his luck in this regard.

The second way how he could earn rewards was by gathering experience points. These experience points did not give Li Feng any extra powers but after leveling up by gathering enough experience points, Li Feng would be able to gain a level up reward which would also give him some cards.

Li Feng could gather experience just by doing the daily missions, so there was no need for him to do anything special for this. So this level up system was a passive way to earn some extra rewards without the need to do anything special for it.

Then the final way of getting these cards would be the gacha system. Li Feng was able to draw a single gacha once every day for free and it would return him a random number of cards of random quality.

This method could give Li Feng Ultimate cards but the drop rate for that was less than 0.00001 percent. So he was not getting his hopes up.

But at least this gacha was free and he would be able to draw once every day. So Li Feng decided that everything he would get from the gacha, he would consider them as bonuses. The special missions also rewarded him with a few extra gacha draws, so those would be more extra rewards for him.

With all these advantages, Li Feng was ready to become a powerful immortal in the future and was just waiting to grow up a little bit. After that he was planning to leave the village to join a powerful cultivation sect, activate his Dao Enlightened Divine Mind and then became a genius with an unlimited amount of resources at his beck and call.

He even dreamed about creating his own sect, making his parents the ancestors of the sect and to rule over the cultivation world with his own invincible strength. And with the help of his upgradation system, this impossible sounding dream was something that could very well become a reality.

But all these dreams and plans broke apart in just a single night. Even though Li Feng had managed to gather a large amount of Upgradation Cards by being diligent and completing all the missions that he was given and not missing a single one, it was all useless as the upgradation cards were unusable for items under a certain quality.

Everything that he was able to found in the village and in the surroundings of the village were not of a good quality. So Li Feng was like a mother who had the rice but no pot to cook the rice. After searching for a lot, the only thing he had managed to find on which a regular upgradation card had worked was a rusty sword.

But as the upgradation card used was just a regular one, the upgraded item was not anything spectacular. It was definitely the best sword that Li Feng had seen in all his life but still it was just a regular sword of good quality, without any special powers. So against an immortal cultivator, it would not be much useful.

The attack of the demonic cultivator happened in this situation where Li Feng had almost no life saving measures. That was why he was completely powerless to stop it.

At first, when the cultivators first entered the village, he was quite excited. How could he not be ? This was his first meeting with the true powerhouses of this immortal cultivation world.

But that excitement soon turned into fear when the mighty cultivators started to kill the villagers left and right.

There were a few strong hunters in the village who tried to resist them and run away but in no time, all of them completely sucked dry by these evil cultivators. That was how this small remote village was destroyed by the hands of the demonic cultivators.

As this village was just one of many which met this grim fate, other than Li Feng, who had luckily managed to survive because of him having talent as a cultivator, no one else would ever remember this place.

As the evil cultivators were part of a demonic sect and were always in war with righteous ones, they had a hard time gathering disciples with normal recruitment methods. So most of the time, the demonic cultivators going out for a mission would bring back children with the potential to cultivate and that children would become a new disciple for the sect.

The cultivators who had managed to find a new seed for the sect would get a decent reward from the sect for finding a new member. That was the reason why the demonic cultivators were happy after finding out that Li Feng had talent to become an immortal cultivator. For them, currently Li Feng was like a walking bag of wealth.

That was why they did not kill Li Feng even though he had raised his weapon against them and instead captured him to get the reward.

After capturing, they immediately tried to fly toward their sect at full speed. This village was located in an area that was under the influence of a righteous sect. So if they did not get out of here soon after causing a massacre, then they would be in trouble and might even die in the hands of the righteous disciples. That was why they did not waste any time and immediately started to run away.
