Chapter 23: Getting Snuck (23)
As Sora sat down in his chair, getting ready for class, Ichigo burst into the room.
He looked lively, and his soul looked weird.
Sora took out his phone. Blackmail material doesn't come easy. Anyway, he was able to catch on camera when Ichigo kissed Tatsumi and Orihime.
Seconds later, Ichigo could be seen entering the room in his Shinigami outfit, his eyes landing on Sora...phone in hand, camera light on.
As the boy tried to take the phone from his hand, Sora dodged him, making him hit the wall.
As the impact was made, Sora put on his perfect little act.
"Hm, I swore I saw something move toward me," he said, looking in the general location of where the person might be.
His eyes then went toward Ichigo—or whatever was in his body—jumping out of the school window.
"Never thought he would be that athletic," he said, moving his hand higher, once again ducking Ichigo's attempt at his phone.
"He's getting away!" Rukia said as she watched whatever was in Ichigo's body run away.
"Not before I get him to delete that video," the teenage boy said.
"I can just do it once everything is over," she said, gesturing to something. Ichigo seemed reluctant.
"Rukia, are you speaking to someone?" a student asked.
To which Rukia put on a nice act, saying, "Me speaking to anyone? No, I was just reciting what I heard from a book."
Acting all nice and cute, as if to them she wasn't just speaking to the air.
Rukia left the room, and so did Ichigo.
Sora looked at his phone before sending the video to his computer.
He then removed all signs of the transfer, left the bait video in there, and just waited for Rukia to come in and delete it from his phone or something.
Sora stretched himself and yawned a bit.
Wasn't class fun?
Uryu, noticing the grin on Sora's face, recognized it instantly. Yup, Sora must have found a new victim for his pranks.
Well, as long as it wasn't him, he offered his condolences to whoever was affected by his cousin's shenanigans.
Later that day, as Sora was just busy in the shop, a lollipop in his mouth, he watched as Kisuke and the other members of the shop were getting ready to go somewhere.
"Sora-kun, you will be in charge of the shop. We have some business to handle."
Sora just vaguely nodded his head, his eyes currently on the game he was playing on his phone.
He was so close to achieving the perfect ending. So goddamn close.
About a few minutes later, he felt a hollow presence close by. Ichigo's body was also nearby, so he didn't bother much with it.
In like 3 minutes, the fight was over. Sora, meanwhile, just looked after the shop.
There were plenty of customers to serve. He gave them his usual gentle smile.
Deciding to just have the plastic side of the lollipop outside of his mouth, it looked like he was smoking when in reality he was just messing around.
His eyes looked quite lazy.
Something about this look seemed to make the customers just want to come to this shop.
When Urahara finally came back, Sora had just finished another order.
Urahara's eyes gazed at the shop. He would need to resupply candy soon; his storage was not keeping up with the demand.
He wondered how much he could use this boy for profit. Heh, thoughts for later.
"Done with your little emergency?"
"It went all good," the man said in his lively voice.
"Good. It's 7:30...I am clocking out," Sora said, stretching a bit.
"You still have 30 minutes left."
"To sell what?"
Urahara now realized the shop was empty. Like the snacks he thought he had left over, Sora had placed them in his pocket.
"Sixty customers served means 20 snacks for me. Pleasure doing business with ya."
Sora then walked outside the shop.
Urahara just had a light smile on his face. He kind of liked this kid's energy.
His eyes then went toward the kid as he went off. Even he himself knew that the kid's Reaitsu was at captain level when the kid was nine. Now, his Reaitsu level seemed to be that of a spiritually aware human.
He knew they were higher than that, yet the boy's control over it was so flawless that there was no sign to show that he was holding back.
Sora made his way back home, and on his way there, he met Rukia.
"Hello there, Rukia-chan," he said politely.
The next second, he felt a hand grab him. So that must be Ichigo. Also, why was he getting sneaked by two Shinigami? Quincy lives matter!
"Nothing personal," Rukia said, getting close and spraying something on his face.
Sora held his breath but played like he got knocked out.
"Here, his memory wipe," Rukia's voice was heard saying.
"Check his phone."
This was really starting to look like a robbery—in broad daylight, mind you.
"It's asking for a password."
"How am I supposed to know that!"
"I can't unlock his phone if I don't have that."
"Try 12345."
"As if that would work..."
They sounded like an old married something.
"Check him."
This was so close to looking like Shinigami-on-Quincy violence all over again.
Getting sneaked up on your way home was crazy action.
Anyway, it took them like two-ish minutes to figure it out since Sora quite literally/purposely had written the password in his notebook five minutes before clocking out.
