The Almighty King Reincarnated

Xero had roughly calculated that the size of the Yang Family area was about a thousand times bigger than the Zhang Family's small villa. That was probably equivalent to around one billion custard bun packets stacked and spread on the ground. 

After the construction of the theme park had been completed eight years ago, he had always wanted to come visit and take a look at the place, but the expensive ticket sales had always kept him away. 

In his mind, he preferred to spend the same amount of money on custard bun snacks. 

He preferred to relax and go out occasionally, although this date had been unexpected. 

There were a few sightseeing spots and places at Yang Family Area, most of which had came from the Qi Distribution Era. At that time, the Yang Family had sacrificed a lot in order to transport the old buildings and artifacts to the Yang Family Area, and today, there were world-renowned sightseeing spots.

The park guide which the Yang Family area had specially set up and arranged for Misaki and Xero led them to a green passageway set up exclusively for distinguished visitors that had the VIP shareholder card. This was a relief for Xero, because he wasn't used to being exposed in public. 

The only awkward part was that both of them were especially silent during their walk, which made Misaki a little discouraged and helpless. 

The female worker who was guiding them had been trained by the Yang Clan and knew the layout inside out. 

When they reached the intersection, the woman stopped and smiled warmly to Misaki and Xero as she said, "Mr. Zhang and Miss Aoi, this intersection leads to three different spots: Cosmic Valley, Cave of Artifacts and The Tree of Life. Which would you prefer to see first?"

Xero knew himself very well and kept being the silent "bastard" he usually is, and let Misaki choose their first choice. 

And it seemed that Misaki had finally accepted the fact that Xero was a man of few words. She knew she still had a long way to influencing this moment, but at least she was able to drag him out of his house forcefully today. Wasn't that the path to romance?

Misaki had heard all three of them before, but she hasn't really been at all of them. 

Before coming to the Grand Paradise, she had done research online on the Yang Family area, but had only looked at YouTube videos, reviews, and comments. And with that, she found out that Cosmic Valley was a hit for guys. 

With that knowledge, she figured their first choice should be Cosmic Valley.

In the end, it was about nurturing Xero, so she quickly made the decision. 

"We would like to visit Cosmic Valley first!" Misaki said with excitement. 

The female worker nodded as she said, "Very well, Miss Aoi." 

Xero and Misaki then went on a bus that was conveniently arranged for them at the intersection and they travelled through the green passageway to the entrance the Cosmic Valley. 

When the bus stopped by the side of the stone tablet inscribed with, "Cosmic Valley" Misaki asked doubtfully, "Why isn't there anyone here?"

The female worker chuckled lightly in amusement and said, "Well, initially Cosmic Valley was closed today for maintenance — but since you have the VIP shareholder card, exceptions can be made." 

"I see!" Misaki nodded. 

As they exited the bus, the two followed the female worker and entered the valley. 

Inside, there were ancient trees and flowers that bloomed beautifully and it seemed as if they were sparkling. The place was three-thousand years old, and Xero could see why. 

As they walked, Xero stared left and right, as wind whistled past him and Misaki time to time and it was like the qi here had been broken, washed away. The qi here was so thin that it was practically negligible. And it looked like an ordinary valley, but compared years ago, there was a huge difference. 

During the Swordsman and Leadership (Battle) Era, the Qi was at an all time high, but after the destruction it had dried away, and the stones had eroded unevenly by the wind. Apart from the beautiful flowers and its age, he really couldn't see anything special about it. 

A common valley like this could be a national place of interest. So either Qinghai's National Monument Sightseeing Center is blind or there had to be some inside joke in it… 

The female worker smiled lightly, "Let me explain the legend of Cosmic Valley to Miss. Aoi and Mr. Zhang."

Xero and Misaki nodded, all ears. 

"In the first two eras of the ancient world of cultivation, which we also know as the Swordsman and Leadership (Battle) Era and the second phase of the Qi Distribution Era, the world was still very chaotic, with humans, goblins, monsters all mixed together into one society. It wasn't until the Qi Information Era that the human race managed to open the Dimensional Seal between Worlds and drove out the monsters and goblins via a thousand year war. Before that, during the Grand Battle between races, some cultivation masters that had been injured hid in the Cosmic Valley." 

The female worker explained further with a serious tone.

"During the Swordsman and Leadership (Battle Era) there was a panacea called the Cosmic Flower which could only be found in Cosmic Valley. This panacea was excellent in healing wounds but was also a… uhm.. sexual tension stimulant, you could say. Unaware of this, many female cultivators ate the Cosmic Flower leading to blood spatters that was scattered across the valley due to intercourse. Therefore, Cosmic Valley was also known as, Brutal Cave, or Intercourse Cave since it brought together countless pairs of cultivators due to various kinds of coincidences." 

In an instant, Misaki's face turned red. "…" 

So this was the reason Cosmic Valley had gotten so many five star reviews?! It was a f*cking porn site! 

The worker had been specially groomed by the Yang Clan to be of service to dignitaries. The fact that she was able to explain such a legend without stuttering was the result of doing this hundreds of times with different guests. Even Xero was stunned — he had thought it would be a really serious story, but who would've known the tone would transition so quickly… 

Of course, Cosmic Valley wasn't the only odd one in the Yang Family Area. 

Afterwards, Xero and Misaki visited the Cave of Artifacts, the Stone of Angels, and a very well known auction house. These were all classic relics of cultivation that had been long preserved for thousands of years, along with the shameful history of past generations of cultivators. 

Legend had it that people who climbed the mountain near the auction house would without fail obtain all the old magical qi artifacts and riches. But according to skeptical scholars's research, the ancient cultivators who had claimed this assumption had been suffering from severe schizophrenia. 

The Stone of Angels was where ancient cultivators would make an oath with the Seven Angels of Heaven. Once they swore the oath, they could never break it, no matter what problems or difficulties they faced. For if one were unlucky enough to break it, they would suffer instant death from Heavenly Lightning. Extensive research had shown that Heavenly Lightning was a thousand times hotter than the sun and as powerful as a gamma ray burst. Though scholars are skeptical of these claims, there had been witnesses that had claimed to have saw it near the mountain. 

During the Swordsman and Leadership (Battle) Era and Qi Distribution Era, almost all powerful cultivation masters in history have had world-shaking experiences at the auction house. If they didn't piss out hundreds of billions of yuan there, they would've been too embarrassed to even claim that they were patriarchs of that era. Nevertheless, according to current historical accounts and research, the auction numbers had been exaggerated, and there were nowhere as excessive as stated in scrolls and legend. 

Something else worth mentioning was that the widely spread belief in ancient texts that one could ascend to Foundation Phase by consuming Foundation Phase emeralds was pure utter nonsense. This was like taiyang bing with no taiyang, pork meat without pork, or koushui ji with no koushui. 

They had gone through the entire Yang Family Area.

Xero and Misaki both had mixed feelings about history as they finally understood something about these damn sightseeing spots. 

What they had just seen today wasn't purely just scenery…

It was actually Qinghai state's shame on the three-thousand year path that led to modern cultivation.
