The Ancient Wizards Apprentice

The little boy with Casey in his hand ran towards the woods in the back. They kept running until they couldnt hear anything but their own footsteps on the ground.

Casey looked around and all saw was trees and bushes. He was starting to get scared as the sun was starting to set. "Well, what are we going to do now. It's almost night, where will we stay?" Casey asked confused and scared.

The environment was so similar to those few months when he was alone. He thought he had escaped those times but it seems like he could never escape his past. He had almost forgotten about that period of time in his life.

The little boy looked at Casey and caressed his head. "We should keep walking and try to get out of the woods and find help. If we can't find help in time we should find a cave or an abandoned house or car to sleep in."

Casey nodded and squeezed the little boys hands. The little boy just let him do whatever. He started leading them try to find a way out of the woods. After walking for what seems like hours they finally found the main road.

Casey looked around and saw light in the distance. It looks like a building. He immediately shook the little boy. "Look! I see something in front of us! It has light, maybe someone can help us?"

The little boy looked at that direction. At first he felt happy but he felt something was off. Even though it felt like they walked for hours, they really didnt walk for that long and he was sure the kidnappers wouldnt bring them somewhere so close to an open, working building.

He took Caseys hands and slowly led them towards the light. He was cautious every step of the way.

Casey felt as if he could finally breathe. Maybe everythings not as hopeless as he thought. Casey looked at the little boy and tried to start up a conversation. "I just realized even though we've been together this whole time you only know my name and age but I don't even know yours. When my grandma comes save us will you come play with me after?"

Caseys head only reached the boys shoulder so he always assumed the boy was older than him. But that still didn't stop him from wanting to be friends with him, they could still do so many fun things together he thought.

Casey lifted his head and realized they already made it. It was an old gas station and it was still in service. They quickly rushed towards the door. Casey finally felt that things were looking up.

Onces the police comes and his grandma comes. The kidnappers will go to jail, he and the little boy will become best friends. He will introduce him to Kevin. They would all go to the same school and get matching pajamas.

They rushed inside and ran towards where the cashier was supposed to be. Except no one was there. That was odd, the door clearly had an open sign. Even if Casey wasn't the best at reading he knew that the little boy was, so they couldn't have been mistaken.

They starting searching the whole gas station for the worker. Finally they knocked on the bathroom door and got an answer.

"Sorry, could you please wait a moment. I'll ring you up as soon as im done!" The worker screamed through the door.

Just like the worker had said. They quickly finished in a few seconds and got out. To her surprise it was two little kids in horrible shape. She immediately took them inside the gas station and got them water.

"What happened, wheres your parent?" She asked visibly worried.

The little boy quickly answered her. "We were kidnapped, can you please call the police! The bad guys will come gets us!"

The worked nodded and wuickly ran towards the back to go call the police. As soon as she left for the back a van pulled up. The little boy immediately recognized the van. It was the kidnappers.

The little boy immediately took Casey to hide. Unfortunately for the little boy they noticed him and started running inside the gas station. The little boy quickly hid Casey away and ran away from where he hid Casey.

The 3 male kidnappers immediately surrounded the little boy. They quickly apprehended the little boy and threw him in the van. Casey watched as the van left.
