The Ancient Wizards Apprentice

Chapter 14: Chapter 13

The worker came out from the back and started looked for them. Casey got out of his hiding space with tears in his eyes. He told the worker of what happened. The worker tried to reassure Casey that the police is coming and they'd find the little boy.

In just a few mintues the police came and not long after Sunny came running. After seeing Sunny Casey ran over crying. He felt relieved and finally safe. He could finally close his eyes and sleep.

Sunny looked down and saw that Casey fainted. She was immediately frightened and rushed to a nearby hospital. She stayed with him the whole night.

An hour before they found Casey she was at the police station giving any information she thought could help. She had put a tracker on his swimsuit because she was worried but when she checked the last location it was in a waste land. Then after a few seconds it disappeared, so she knew that she couldn't rely on the tracker anymore.

The sun started to rise and Sunny got up. She looked down at Casey on the hospital bed. She was so happy to finally see him safe and sound. Those few hours of him being gone felt like hell. Casey was her son, her everything. She would never let something like this happen to him again.

In the corner of her eyes she saw Caseys fingers start to move. Sunny called over the nurses in a hurry. They rushed over to make sure everything was okay. Luckily everything was fine, he just needed more sleep and to eat.

Casey finally woke up a few minutes after and tried to talk. But everytime he tried his throat would sting. Sunny noticed something was off and gave him some water to drink.

Caseys thraot felt better. He tried to speak again. "Nyny, what about the big brother that helped me? Is he here? Did they find him too?" Casey asked with worry on his face.

Sunny knew who Casey ment. But last she heard from the police was that they were close but hadnt found him yet. "Everythings okay sweetie. The police are close to catching the bad guys."

"So they didn't find him? What if the bad guys already hurt him. What if he cant wake up anymore?" Casey could feel tears falling out of him eyes.

Sunny immediately reassured Casey that everything would be okay and tried to distract him with something else.

Then the door was pushed open. They both looked towards the direction of the sound and saw Kevin and his mom. Kevin ran towards Casey.

Kevin started crying out apologies to Casey. When Kevin felt Casey push him, essentially ssaving his life, he knew he owed him. He promised himself that from the moment on he would do whatever he can to protect Casey.

Kevin looked at his mom, Grace, and asked if he could stay with Kevin. "Kevin, honey. You know you can't. Casey needs to rest. We can come visit Casey again in the morning tomorrow. " Grace replied back.

Kevins mood went down after hearing his mom say no. He then thought about it for a second. He could just come visit Casey every morning. With that thought he put on a big smile.

Kevin then remembered something important. He nudged his mom. Grace took out a blue stuffed bear from behind her. It was bigger than Kevin and Casey.

Casey looked at the bear and his mood lifted. He loves stuffed bears and plushies, and now he has a huge one in his favorite color. He took the bear in excitement and gave it a big hug.

After a few hours of doing absolutely nothing everyone left except for Sunny. Casey was still playing with his Bear when he realized he didn't give it a name. Casey wanted to name it after the little boy that saved him but he didnt know his name. So he could only come up with something that reminds him of the little boy.

The little boy always seemed cold and emotionless on the outside but Casey knew he was the opposite inside. "I'll name you Polar Bear. Polar for shorta" Casey exclaimed loudly, startling Sunny.
