Chapter 582: Chapter 581: The Second Transaction
T'Challa didn't know was that as soon as he stepped into the Sand Puppet Shop, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had already set their sights on him.
Ever since Coulson encountered members of other organizations in the Sand Puppet Shop and learned about the purchase of strength-enhancing serum, S.H.I.E.L.D. had been constantly monitoring the shop's entrance.
They will investigate the identity of anyone entering to determine who had purchased the strength-enhancing serum last time.
As a result, when T'Challa, dressed in his leopard-print suit, walked in, it was hard not to attract the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
The intelligence was quickly reported to the headquarters by the monitoring agents.
…
Inside the Sand Puppet Shop-
T'Challa opened the box he had brought with him and took out one piece of Vibranium from it, leaving the remaining nine pieces.
"This is exactly 45 kilograms."
Temari glanced at the leopard-dressed man in front of her, surprised to see that he has so much Vibranium. Previous customers had only exchanged secondary adamantium alloy mostly for the strength-enhancing serum.
Nevertheless, Temari still took action. Using chakra, she conducted a thorough examination and confirmed that the material was indeed Vibranium, with the weight being precisely as stated.
"Everything is in order."
After inspecting T'Challa's Vibranium, Temari took out a sealed scroll from her ninja tool pouch. She then unfolded the scroll, which had some symbols that T'Challa couldn't understand, with the word "sealed" prominently written in the middle.
Temari formed seals with her hands: "Release!"
A puff of smoke was released, and a completely black suitcase appeared on the scroll, with the Sand Village logo imprinted on it.
Temari opened the suitcase, revealing a test tube containing red liquid inside.
"This is the strength-enhancing serum."
T'Challa was surprised by what he saw. How could a thin scroll contain a suitcase? Had technology advanced to this extent?
Was this spatial compression technology?
Was this even technology or magic?
He then looked at the strength-enhancing serum in Temari's hand and asked, "How do you use this thing, and are there any restrictions?"
"It can be taken orally or injected, with no precautions needed."
Temari put the strength-enhancing serum back into the suitcase, placed it aside, and then, as if following a ritual, took out two more sealed scrolls and extracted two more doses of the strength-enhancing serum.
At this moment, T'Challa was quite interested in the sealed scrolls in Temari's hand, he couldn't help but ask, "Can you sell me one of these scrolls? I'm very interested in it."
"I can pay with Vibranium."
Seeing that the leopard-headed man was interested in the sealed scrolls, Temari smiled and said, "It's not that I won't sell it to you, but you can't use this thing."
"Why can't I use it? You can just teach me how to use it."
"Money isn't the issue. How about I exchange these pieces of Vibranium for three of these scrolls?"
As he spoke, T'Challa put the Vibranium he had just taken back onto the table, indicating that he was willing to exchange it for the three scrolls.
Hearing T'Challa's offer, Temari felt once again the meaning of being wealthy. This guy was definitely not part of the same organization as the previous buyers; he was much richer.
"I can sell you the items, but you still won't be able to use them since you're not a ninja," Temari replied. "If you still want to purchase them, I won't stop you."
T'Challa was puzzled. "Not a ninja?"
"Yes, these are sealing scrolls," Temari explained. "Only we ninjas can use them; you won't be able to."
Upon hearing that he wouldn't be able to use them, T'Challa wasn't entirely convinced. He was more interested in buying the items to research them with his sister. If they could develop similar spatial technology, it would greatly benefit Wakanda.
"Fine, no problem. Sell them to me," T'Challa agreed.
Temari happily handed over the three sealing scrolls to him.
T'Challa looked at the three briefcases and the three rolled-up sealing scrolls in front of him, feeling that there were too many boxes. So, he placed the three vials of strength-enhancing serum into one of the briefcases and put the sealing scrolls into another.
After picking up the two briefcases, T'Challa left the Sand Puppet Shop.
…
Meanwhile, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in a command vehicle was monitoring a computer screen.
The screen displayed footage from a camera facing the entrance of the Sand Puppet Shop.
"Attention, the target has made a move. The briefcases in his hands have changed," the agent reported.
Hendel Dubois, monitoring the footage, immediately commanded, "Pause and zoom in on the briefcases in the target's hands."
"Yes, sir!"
As the image zoomed in, Dubois' expression turned serious as he watched the target's briefcases.
"Attention, the briefcases in the target's hands appear to contain the strength-enhancing serum."
"Strike Team, move in and tail the target. Do not lose sight of him," Dubois ordered.
Dubois knew they couldn't act at the puppet shop's entrance; as it would anger the ninjas there. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents wouldn't stand a chance against those ninjas.
Just as T'Challa exited the Sand Puppet Shop, he headed towards the building where the stealth jet was parked.
However, after walking a short distance, T'Challa felt someone was following him.
"Are they targeting me?"
Initially, T'Challa thought it might be the people from the Sand Puppet Shop. But after walking a while, he realized it was S.H.I.E.L.D. agents tailing him.
Though unsure why they were following him, T'Challa knew the items in his possession were crucial. He immediately quickened his pace towards the building.
"Report, the target seems to have noticed us and is accelerating."
Grabbing a walkie-talkie, Dubois ordered, "Engage. Don't let the target escape."
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and a team of operatives following T'Challa abandoned their hiding position and sprinted towards him, shouting, "Stop! FBI! Stop and submit to inspection!"
However, T'Challa ignored their warnings. With the building housing the jet now in sight, he dashed towards it.
Seeing that the target didn't stop, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents drew their guns and began shooting.
"Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!"
Inside the command vehicle, Dubois quickly yelled, "Watch your shooting angles. Hit the person; don't target the briefcases."
