Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Robbing the Robber.
The sun started fading over the horizon. The tribe got quiet as night came, and everyone went to sleep. The moon came up slowly, and inside Kanuk's tent, a pair of eyes opened.
Kanuk smiled as he gently lifted off Katara's arm from his chest. Standing up gently to not wake her up, Kanuk sneaked towards his clothes, and he wore them.
"Good night," Kanuk whispered to Katara as he exited the igloo. The moonlight illuminated Kanuk's figure in a brilliant light, and Kanuk felt his strength increase.
"Is it the moonlight?" Kanuk asked himself curiously since he never felt like this during the day. The moonlight illuminated his body, increasing his strength by a certain amount.
"Hmmm... Might be useful someday." Kanuk muttered as he started walking towards the ocean. With a sudden jerk, his body dashed off at superhuman speed.
At a speed that was hard for normal humans to follow, Kanuk moved towards the ocean. Kanuk crossed 100 meters every second, reaching the Sea in a few seconds.
Boom!
The ice was crushed under Kanuk's jump as he soared towards the air. Kanuk jumped more than 10 meters into the air before falling into the ocean.
Splash!
The water stirred as Kanuk fell into it before immediately shooting off at speeds faster than even a speed boat. The water split in front of Kanuk as he moved.
Using pure Water Bending, Kanuk swam in the ocean without even having to move his arms.
'The fire nation had many ships left or abandoned due to breaking down or being damaged in fights around here.' Kanuk thought as he swam miles out from his tribe.
A normal human could see about 60 meters underwater. Kanuk could see clearly for 3 miles, about the same distance a normal human can see on the surface.
After going for a few more miles, Kanuk finally saw something in the distance.
It was a black ship that was stuck inside an iceberg. Half of its side was exposed, while the other half was swallowed by the ice. Kanuk instantly moved towards it.
Splash!
Kanuk jumped overboard, landing with a loud thud. Upon looking at the ship, Kanuk's eyes opened wide in horror at the scene. It was hell on earth.
Frozen soldiers of Fire Nation were everywhere. Some had their bodies cut n half, and some had their bodies looked like it was sucked out, not leaving any water in their bodies.
"This iceberg... It's made by a human!" Kanuk muttered with amazement as he walked past a frozen soldier. Waking to the door of the shop, he noticed it was locked.
Boom!
With a fully powered kick, the lock broke. Kanuk kicked the metal door open, its frame denting from the force behind Kanuk's kick. The door opened, revealing the inside of the ship.
"This must be decades old..." Kanuk entered the door while shielding his face from the dust floating in the air. Walking inside, Kanuk made his way to the lowest part of the ship.
Once Kanuk was there, he noticed that prison cells had skeletons with light blue clothes on their bodies.
"Water Benders..." With a sigh, Kanuk walked towards the exit to the prison cells and entered the room where the armoury was likely stored.
"It's locked again..." Kanuk walked back a bit, and with a kick from his leg, the door to the armoury opened up, showing things beyond Kanuk's expectations.
"Woah... That's a lot of money."
Inside the room were tens of weapons. Swords, Naginatas, spears, and even 3 pronged tridents! But the best thing was the pile of gold, silver and copper!
"This amount of money... They must have taken it from the destroyed Water Tribe. In that case, I won't be guilty of taking it!" Walking towards the gold, silver and copper. Kanuk placed his hand on top of the pile.
Swoosh!
The pile of money vanished as Kanuk placed it inside his inventory. He also froze time on the money since he did not want anything to happen to it.
Standing up with a giddy feeling inside him, Kanuk turned towards the armoury of weapons in the room, and he smiled as he walked towards the 3 three-pronged trident.
"This is it... This is what I want." Kanuki instantly stored every Trident in the room and with all the weapons. Just because he uses spears does not mean he won't use the other weapons.
"If a single ship contained this much weapons and money... The night is young. Might as well make use of it!" Kanuk smirked as he exited the ship before jumping back into the freezing water.
Kanuk swam away with a smirk because if a fire nation ships there. Then there must be other ships close by. Swimming fast, Kanuk soon managed to find another boat a mile away.
Splash!
Jumping onto the ship, Kanuk again entered the room where the armour was stored, and he noticed they had the same weapons. The money was less than the other, but it still had a small pile of gold, silver and copper.
Kanuk continued doing this until he could not find more fire nation ships. Standing on a boat, Kanuk leaned against the rail. With a smile on his face, he looked into the distance.
"After robbing 4 ships, I am probably one of the richest men in the world," Kanuk muttered with a smirk since he had found a pile of money on every ship he robbed.
The most common type of money was silver, with the second being copper and the most rare being gold. That's compared to what he found. If people knew how many gold coins he had, they would go crazy.
"I should go back now. It has been a few hours, and the sun is starting to come up." Kanuk looked up as the moonlight was fading away, revealing the sun.
With a massive leap that sent Kanuk into the water, he swam off towards the tribe even faster than a speed boat. A few minutes later, he arrived back on the shore.
Splash!
He jumped onto the snow, and with a swipe of his hand, he dried his body and clothes. Kanuk walked towards his igloo, and upon entering, he froze as he saw Katara sitting with her arms crossed.
Katara glared at Kanuk as she stood up. With sweat on his brows, Kanuk looked at the ground in guilt.
"Where were you?" Katara's monotone voice reached Kanuk's voice. She was really pissed and also curious as to where he had been.
"I... I have been exploring fire nation boats for a weapon." Katara's eyes widened in disbelief before she noticed in his hand a three-pronged Trident.
"Unbelievable! You go and put yourself in danger for a spear? Are you nuts!" Kanuk smiled before he went and embraced Katara. Kanuk pressed his head against her as he looked into her eyes.
"Listen. I need a weapon to protect you. You are mine. I can't let anything or anyone hurt you." Kanuk said as he looked into Katara's eyes.
"kanuk... Hmph! Don't think I will forgive you because of your smooth talk!" Katara turned around with an angry snort and walked towards the bed. Her face was red as she lay on the bed.
"W-what are you waiting for? Come and start sleeping!" Kanuk smiled before taking his jacket off and embracing Katara.
"Nice sleep," Kanuk whispered in Katara's ear.
