Chapter 163: Inglis part4
Pov Inglis,
My new mother carried me before making a magic circle appear, altering the world around us.
Judging by the structure of the corridors, I would say we were in a rather ancient castle.
Dia: "Welcome to the Underworld, where the factions of the Fallen Angels, the Devils, and the Crimson Faction reside."
The Crimson Faction is a group consisting mainly of semi-humans who were persecuted by humans centuries ago.
Dia: "We are in my castle, which overlooks Pandemonium, the capital of the Crimson Faction."
As she spoke, she continued walking while carrying me, and it was the worst experience of my life.
Every single servant in the castle—every single one—was a monster of power, each one presenting a challenge that would have been nearly impossible for me to overcome even before my reincarnation. Some were even more powerful than I had been.
Dia: "Looking out of the window, you can see a magnificent view of Pandemonium's grand square."
The place she presented to me was not just grand—it was immense. Even if I compared it to the area of my former castle, this one would still be larger than the grand square.
Dia: "Now it's time for me to introduce you to the other members of my peerage. Some of them are my wives and, therefore, your other mothers."
She guided us through the corridors of the castle, and as we advanced, the level of the servants seemed to rise higher and higher.
Inglis: "How did you manage to gather so many strong people around you?"
Dia: "They are strong because they are maids and butlers, and their pride does not allow them to be incapable of performing the tasks assigned to them. Don't worry, you'll get used to it in time."
They arrived before massive doors, which opened as soon as Mother approached them.
Inside the room, a person dressed as a maid was seated in the main chair, while the others sat opposite her.
All the peerage: "We salute you, Dia-sama."
They all bowed as Mother passed by them. Among the crowd, there were two additional maids and a butler.
Carrera: "Welcome back, Dia-sama. Is the child in your arms the reason for our meeting?"
Dia: "Yes, I present to you my new Pawn, but also my new daughter, Inglis Eucus."
The four servants bowed at Mother's words.
Rimuru and the others: "We salute you, Inglis Ojou-sama."
Even in my previous life, I was not used to being treated like this.
Mother explained the entire situation, and an important question was raised.
Benimaru: "I don't want to cause trouble between your wives, Dia-sama, but who will be Inglis-sama's second mother?"
He shouldn't have said that—I could feel a war about to break out between two women, one with yellow hair and the other with purple hair.
Dia: "You're not going to join them, Testarossa?"
Testarossa: "Why would I fight when I'm pregnant?"
Her words provoked a reaction from the maids with blue and green hair.
Dia: "Enough! I'm truly happy that Testarossa is expecting my child, but it's not worth starting a war over this—I love you all."
Apparently, from what Mother had told me, she is married to multiple women—a choice I understand since I would do the same.
I would never date a man, simply because the problem is that I used to be one in my past life.
Dia: "Now, regarding Inglis' second mother—as you all know, no one really knows who my wives are. Shuna and Shion are considered part of them, but they are not. Keeping such information confidential helps maintain a certain peace—like my marriage with Gabriel—or allows my wife to have a somewhat normal life… though I can't think of an example for that. That is why Inglis' second mother will be May Eucus."
Mother's body began to glow before transforming into a woman of stunning beauty, with red eyes and long, snow-white hair tied in a ponytail. Her outfit also changed. (Same outfit as Arlecchino in Genshin.)
Dia: "Diablo, announce to the faction the news of Inglis' birth and that May is the second mother. Rain and Misery, summon the rest of my family and the other women—I will meet with them soon. And you, Rimuru, prepare a rest room for Inglis-chan."
Why did she suddenly change the way she speaks?
It was only later that I realized she had adopted, in real life, the personality of her character from the Sera series.
