Chapter 135: Roxanne's Suspicious Trust
A few minutes after Arin left her office, Riya finished arranging her books and stood up, ready to leave, but someone suddenly knocked on the door.
She squinted her eyes before speaking. "Come in."
The door opened, revealing Ben, the white-haired teacher she had a small fight with in the expedition.
He entered the office and stared at Riya with his hands behind his back.
"What do you want?" Riya asked, her expression sharp.
"It won't hurt to calm down, you know?" Ben said with a small smile.
Riya frowned. "If you don't have anything to say, please leave my office."
"Oh, don't worry, I won't take long," Ben said.
Riya just stared at him without saying anything.
"I know you'll be informed later," Ben began, "but I decided to still inform you personally."
Riya furrowed her brows, but she still didn't say anything.
"Principal Orion and the Assistant Principal have decided that all the teachers will have a meeting tomorrow," Ben said. "And a lot of things will be discussed."
Riya smiled. "Thank you for the information."
Ben nodded his head as he turned back, ready to leave.
Suddenly, he stopped and turned his head with a smirk. "Just so you know, a lot of things about you will be discussed in that meeting... especially your actions in that expedition."
Ben laughed as he walked out of the office.
Riya sighed. "I had already seen this coming..."

Arin walked out of the Weapon Training class, with Riya's office as his destination.
Classes went smoothly as usual, except for Tessa occasionally stealing glances at him.
Thankfully, Leon didn't stare at him, because Arin knew that if Leon stared at him, it would make Tessa even more suspicious.
"Leon's physical capabilities definitely increased," Seraphine said.
"I noticed it too," Arin said. "Well, he's no longer a human, so..."
Leon's case was just similar to Arin's case. As a Vampire, even though his Blood Energy was hidden, he still had the naturally increased capabilities of a Vampire.
It was also like that for Leon. As a Shadow Lord, he now had naturally increased capabilities. Though it wasn't obvious, Arin noticed it in the Weapon Training class.
He finally exited the main Academy building, and just as he turned, ready to head toward the building for teachers, he saw Lina waving at him.
A smile formed on his face as he waved back while waiting for her because she was already running toward him.
She smiled widely as soon as she reached him. "Ugh... Arin! Why does it feel like I haven't seen you in a year?"
Arin laughed. "I can't answer that..."
Lina pouted a bit before her smile returned. "How are you preparing for the ceremony tonight?"
"I don't need to ask you if you have what to wear because I remember Mum forcing you to take your suits and trousers along with you... Hahaha!"
"I'll have to thank her for that," Arin said as both of them began walking. "If not, I wouldn't have anything to wear except my uniform."
Lina's eyes widened slightly. "That would have certainly made you popular in the Academy... The first student to ever wear the Academy uniform to the ceremony."
Both Arin and Lina chuckled. They kept talking for a while before Lina finally left. With that, Arin instantly found his way to the building before reaching Riya's office.
"Come in."
Arin opened the door, entering the office.
They only smiled at each other before Arin dropped the bracelet on the floor, and it glowed, revealing Roxanne.
Arin closed his eyes, exhaled, and opened his eyes before he began speaking to Roxanne, whose expression had turned to confusion again.
"Like I told you before, we'll brief you on what's going on, but I'll leave it to her," Arin said, pointing at Riya.
Roxanne glanced at Riya, who was still smiling, before looking at Arin again.
From what Arin just said, she realized something.
"Does this mean you intend to leave me here with her to explain some things to me?" Roxanne asked.
Arin nodded his head. "Yes, once she's done, we'll meet again."
Roxanne blinked. "But you know about the..."
Roxanne didn't finish what she wanted to say, but Arin understood.
'Shit... I forgot about the oath,' Arin thought, but before he could say anything, Roxanne suddenly spoke.
"Don't worry," she said, smiling. "I trust you, so out of my own free will, I can decide to stay here."
"Hmm, if she's the one deciding to stay here by herself without you being present, then the oath won't be broken," Seraphine said.
"Oh..."
Arin stared at Roxanne. 'I still don't get it... Why does she trust me...? Why do I have this feeling that something is going on?'
"You said once she finishes explaining some things to me, then we'll meet again today, right?" Roxanne asked.
"Yes, that's it," Arin replied.
Roxanne smiled. "I'm okay with that..."
Arin nodded his head. "Okay, then... I'll see you later."
Roxanne lowered her head in response.
Arin and Riya nodded at each other before Arin left the office.
Riya smiled at Roxanne. "I respect the trust you have for him."
"I'm glad he has such an amazing friend..."
Roxanne smiled back. "Thank you."
Arin descended the stairs, heading outside the building. 'That went well...'
Within minutes, he had already reached the male dorm building and entered his room. The day was still bright, so it wasn't yet time for the ceremony.
Through the window, he could see a high number of students buying different things from the shops in the Academy, especially the girls. Most of them were buying jewelry, and he even saw a boy holding a newly purchased suit.
"They don't normally sell things like this in the Academy," Arin muttered. "I guess it's just for today."
With a sigh, he brought out his suit and trousers with a white inner button-up shirt and placed them on the bed.
After that, he decided to practice with his Blood Energy while waiting for the time when he would start dressing up for the ceremony. Stay connected with My Virtual Library Empire
"Ah, today is gonna be slightly hectic..."
"Do you even know how to dance?" Seraphine suddenly asked. "Because I'm sure there's going to be a lot of dancing."
"Dance, huh?" Arin muttered. "I don't know about that..."
With that, Arin began practicing as the day was slowly turning into night...
The ceremony would soon begin...
