The First Magic World War

Chapter 503: 469, The First Labyrinth—Golden Goat Palace! _2

Another voice said, "Charles Meklen, you die, you should be killed by the Evil God, you bastard shouldn't live in this world. Without you, my world would be perfect; without you, I would still have the Queen Bee and a Magical Alchemy Warship, and even be the great pirate of St. Michael Island..."

Charles smiled faintly and was about to remind the old goat to change his prayer when he heard a slight rumbling noise. He raised his eyes and saw the Evil God Sculptures that filled the Golden Goat Palace starting to crack and crumble, revealing a new form beneath the flaking stone skin.

Not long after, the entire Golden Goat Palace was filled with statues of Charles Meklen, each depicting a different image. Some statues depicted him hurrying along in a coat, some holding a Magical Alchemy Staff, some in a half-crouching pose shooting with an Antispace Sniper Rifle, and some holding the Blood Rose...

Each statue represented a period of Charles's life from when he had first come to this world, with a corresponding statue for every period.

The Golden Goat Palace was filled with statues of Charles, and when arranged according to a certain mysterious rule, roughly depicted all of Charles's adventures since his arrival.

Charles marvelled inwardly, thinking, "Before the Evil God, there really are no secrets!"

"But, this should count as passing through the Golden Goat Palace, right?"

Suddenly, a rune enshrouded in black smoke leaped out from his eyes. This rune sprouted countless fine threads, some of which burrowed into the Golden Goat Palace and some stretched far away, representing all the cities Charles had once maze-ified.

Charles realized he had finally mastered the power of the maze; this black smoke-enveloped rune was — the Maze!

It was also the core of Agmillas's Evil Force!

This rune of the Maze, wrapped in black smoke, granted Charles Meklen the ability to maze-ify any city at will or to undo such transformations.

However, its power was not unlimited!

It needed to accumulate before it could release.

Now this Maze Rune had only six maze-ifications left, equivalent to six pages of "Agmillar's Labyrinth."

Charles was moved and instantly maze-ified the Golden Goat Palace.

When the maze-ification of the Golden Goat Palace was complete, a new route emerged, leading deep into the Agres Sea.

Charles had no plans to stay in the Golden Goat Palace. He called Herolf and Andreas, saying, "Let's head back to the ship!"

"Let's continue sailing forward, to complete this challenge against the Evil God."

At that moment, the Georgiadi Hadrian Fleet, taking advantage of its speed, had already caught up with several fleets of Black Phoenix People. Georgiadi Hadrian soothed his followers every time he passed a fleet and sought news of Charles. When he learned that Charles had already sailed into the Agres Sea and entered the Ristofor Route, he hesitated briefly before plunging into the same route.

He still didn't know that there were two "stowaways" on board.

Druzhinia had been frequently visiting Gareth during this time, and the two had gradually developed a tacit understanding.

Seeing Druzhinia nearly exposing their whereabouts several times, Gareth even taught her the Beast God Shapeshifting Art. Druzhinia reciprocated, teaching Gareth the Blood Shadow Technique!

This Secret Technique transformed the whole body into a faint blood shadow that could fly through the sky and burrow into the earth, all-powerful, and as soon as it landed on an enemy, it could devour all their essence and life force, an extremely cruel spell.

Juno wasn't stingy with the Secret Techniques, teaching many to her Blood Servants. Since Charles's practice was still inadequate, he hadn't yet learned the Blood Shadow Technique. Gareth, a Sacred Level class twenty-two, had no difficulty learning the Blood Shadow Technique. By the time Druzhinia had mastered the Beast God Shapeshifting Art, Gareth had also perfected the Blood Shadow Technique.

After the fleet entered the Agres Sea, Gareth suddenly stood up. He saw Georgiadi Hadrian rise into the air, leaving the flagship and flying ahead.

Drusinia whispered, "He must be scouting ahead!"

Gareth did not hesitate and dove into the sea. Drusinia hesitated for a moment but then followed, jumping into the water. She watched as Gareth, like a big fish, swam to the bottom of Georgiadi Hadrian's flagship and then used the Blood Shadow Technique. Sticking to the hull, he infiltrated the ship.

However, Drusinia did not follow him; she knew well the kind of man Georgiadi Hadrian was. Even Juno had said that in a direct confrontation, he was unbeatable—a peak Sacred level, a truly formidable adversary. Even with the Blood Demon in hand, she could only flee.

Once inside Georgiadi Hadrian's flagship, it would be too late to escape if the last War God of the Black Phoenix Dynasty were to return. Wouldn't she be caught like a turtle in a jar?

Drusinia wondered what Gareth was planning.

She then saw him holding a massive fang and jumping back into the sea. More than ten Black Phoenix Sacred levels also leaped into the ocean, angrily pursuing. Drusinia did not know that it was the Great Sea Serpent Posuji's fang; Juno had not mentioned it to them. Still, she knew that Gareth, who had always been inside Georgiadi Hadrian's fleet, wasn't trying to escape but to steal that massive fang.

Driven by curiosity, she followed him.

Despite Gareth's formidable strength, he was pursued by more than ten Sacred level warriors.

He could only desperately flee, showing no intention of turning to fight.

Half an hour later, Drusinia saw Gareth being caught up by three Sacred levels. He pulled out the Blood Demon and fired three shots. How powerful were those Extraordinary Weapons? Sensing the danger, the three Sacred levels hastily scattered, which allowed Gareth to escape once more.

By firing those three shots, Drusinia also exposed herself, drawing the attention of the Black Phoenix Sacred levels, who then pursued her.

The two sides navigated and battled in the vast expanse of the Agres Sea. Before Georgiadi Hadrian returned, they managed to escape the pursuit separately.

Drusinia could not find Gareth, but she knew he must have gone after Charles and the others.

Hesitating for a long time, Drusinia finally gritted her teeth, activated a mysterious rune inside her body, sensed Juno's location, and resolutely followed.

Indeed, she wanted to leave Juno, but her resolve was not unbreakable. Having been with Juno for so long, she knew how gentle he was. Drusinia dared not think further, because the more she did, the more she knew her will might waver. Yet, Gareth's actions made her think more, and she still decided to catch up to see Juno one last time.

Drusinia told herself that she would just take one more look at him before leaving for the New Continent.

But she also knew what a self-deception that was.

Georgiadi Hadrian, having scouted the route ahead, returned to the fleet only to hear the report that the tooth of the Great Sea Serpent Posuji was missing. He had not expected that Charles had also sent someone to steal that fang.

Georgiadi Hadrian thought for a long time. Though he knew that the fang was not an ordinary item and that it could potentially be crafted into a powerful Extraordinary Weapon, it was trivial compared to going through the Agres Sea to the New Continent.

It was, after all, just something unexpectedly gained; losing it was no big deal.

Georgiadi Hadrian said to his subordinates, "The giant fang is not important. Our goal is to head to the New Continent and establish our second Black Phoenix Dynasty there."

"When we have accumulated enough strength, we will one day return triumphantly, reclaim the Old Continent, and take back everything we lost."
