The Genjutsu Devil of Konoha

Chapter 76: The Genjutsu devil(76)

Time skip.

When Seijuro heard the plan, he thought, okay, maybe it would happen in a week or so.

BAm

He ducked under a slash before using his sword to slash a random chunin's neck, causing blood to splurt out everywhere. He grabbed the kunai with the paper bomb aimed at him and sent it back where it came from.

Shunshin away, just as three or so shuriken would be seen hitting his body.

Hm, so this was war.

Even after he had killed like 15 chunin by now, there were still more—still more ninja running to their death.

He was slowly making a target for himself.

"Well, would you look at that? A tree hugger," a Suna Jounin said, landing next to the boy. Seijuro glanced at the man.

Taking out a shuriken, he tossed it at the man.

"Tch, do you expect to take me out so easily?" The Jounin easily blocked the attack.

Wait, this was the Konoha Phantom. Wasn't there a hefty bounty on his head?

Oh yeah, he was eating good today.

"You must be really unlucky to have met me today. But don't worry, I will make sure to use your bounty well."

Seijuro's brow rose at that. Wow. How cringe.

As the man was busy doing that shit, he felt a hand grab his leg.

'The Headhunter Jutsu?' the man thought to himself, tossing a kunai at the hand to kill whatever was there.

Yet as the kunai reached the hands, instead of blood, the body turned into lightning—lightning which, mind you... shocked the man to the core.

Fuck... he was paralyzed. He couldn't move.

CHING

Seijuro, in a swift motion, made sure the man's head was no longer attached to his body.

That was quick... with no one knowing of his trick yet, it was quite easy to, well, trick them into looking for his sword.

Spreading his senses... hm, oh my, seemed like he had cleared his area.

All around Seijuro, all that one could find were piles amongst piles of dead bodies—Suna and Konoha shinobi.

Well, to be fair, there were only 3 Konoha shinobi and like 30 Suna shinobi, with like 10 of them being puppet users who also used poison.

So it wasn't really a fair fight, especially the second Seijuro had the puppet users fight each other thinking it was him.

Well, no bother. Time to check on Tsunade.

As he gazed toward where she was—

Tsunade dodged a puppet attack before punching another puppet so freaking hard it shattered near instantly.

Seijuro's eyes landed on the puppet master—someone Seijuro had no clue who it was.

The woman in question seemed to be able to control 10 puppets at the same time.

9 now, but oh well.

She should be Chiyo—the woman Seijuro was in charge of injuring.

Somewhere else across the battlefield, he saw her younger brother. Hm, he was using puppets too—6 of them to be exact—and was keeping several elite jounin at bay.

Well, wasn't this awkward?

Seijuro needed to find the correct time. In a swift motion, he sliced off the head of the Suna nin behind him attempting a sneak attack.

"How predictable," he muttered.

He watched as Tsunade used her Strength of a Hundred Seal Jutsu.

"You little brat, you will die today!" Chiyo shouted while rushing at Tsunade.

"Try me, Granny!" Tsunade countered back as she once again began fighting the grandma.

As more and more cuts began to appear on Tsunade's body, her momentum began to slow. She began weakening.

A smile played on Chiyo's lips.

"How do you like my new poison? Made them an hour ago," the old lady said, to which Tsunade looked at her and said:

"You must really be blind if you can call this poison."

"You insolent child, let me teach you how to respect your elders!"

Once more they were clashing. Wow. Clashing was really all they did, really.

Nothing more.

Then, Seijuro spotted a chance in the making, and thus, he got ready.

He created a clone beforehand, as he was planning to use a special jutsu for this.

His fingers went into a handseal.

Wind Release: Gale Palm – Compression Variant.

A small whoosh of concentrated air gathered beneath his clone's foot as it formed beside him, its blade drawn.

Then—

The clone reached Chiyo in an instant.

The old woman turned around in time to see it.

KABOOM

Seijuro watched from afar as the twenty explosives he made did their job. He may also have added a small seal in there that restricts the user's chakra for a bit... but that was like a minor detail, really.

The explosion was so massive, in fact, that it created cracks on the floor. The explosion was happening about 50 feet in the air.

The whole battlefield went quiet. Lady Chiyo was basically one of the few powerhouses the Sand possessed, and losing her would be a big loss to their already dwindling number of strong people.

Her younger brother stopped whatever he was doing and rushed toward his big sister.

"Chiyo!" he shouted from the top of his lungs.

Suna shinobi were frozen. That explosion was massive.

As the dust settled, Chiyo could be seen, blocking most of the damage with her puppets.

Yet, she still looked like shit.

Apart from that though, she looked angry.

"You brat." Her gaze was cold as she looked at Seijuro. The boy didn't look older than 12. If at this stage he was so dangerous...

Chiyo would prepare to pull out her puppet.

"Ebizo, kill the child."

Upon hearing her words, the man's gaze landed on Seijuro, along with every Suna shinobi.

Upon seeing everyone glancing at him, Seijuro simply smiled.

The seal on his forehead opened once more.

"Shatter... Kyōka Suigetsu."

The sound of glass shattering echoed in the battlefield.

Suna shinobi reached the child and began attacking him. Seijuro skillfully dodged and weaved through their attempts to strike him.

Konoha shinobi were rushing toward him, but they were being held back by Suna shinobi. Better nip this kid in the bud.

The child was slippery. Time for formation.

"EVERYONE FOCUS UP! WIND FORMATION, NOW!"

The Suna commander—a tall, masked Jōnin named Korai—snapped his fan open. His chakra surged as a squad of elite Wind-style users lined up beside him. They knew the plan. They'd trained for this exact kind of countermeasure.

This time, the kid wasn't walking away.

"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough Barrage!"

Six Suna ninja exhaled at once, combining their jutsu into a screaming, spiraling hurricane of cutting winds. Blades of air howled across the broken battlefield, slicing through trees and pulverizing rocks as they surged toward the black-haired phantom standing eerily still—no more illusions, no more tricks.

Just him.

Unmoving.

Korai grinned. "Try dodging that, you little—"

"Earth Style: Earth Wall."

He slammed his hand into the floor as the dirt floor he was standing on was raised up. It wasn't that high, about 7 feet tall, but this earth wall seemed different... it was 10 feet deep.

Which meant all the wind attacks were tanked by this earthy shield—though barely.

However, Seijuro didn't stop. He used another jutsu:

"Earth Style: Hiding Like a Mole."

"Underground! He's under—!"

Too late.

The ground beneath one of the wind-nin exploded as a hand shot up, grabbing his ankle.

"Earth Style: Earth Dragon Bullet."

A twisting serpent of stone and mud exploded upward from beneath the terrain, launching boulders like cannonballs. The Suna formation scattered as shrapnel tore across their ranks.

"Fall back—he's using terrain to his advantage!" Korai barked, blood dripping from a cut across his cheek.

Another chunin stepped forward, fingers dancing into signs.

"Wind Style: Wind Cutter Jutsu!"

Razors of wind erupted from her hands in a tight spiral—controlled, precise, meant to slice only Seijuro.

He stood still.

He looked stunned.

"Eat it, you little shit," the man said with a smile on his face.

The next second, Seijuro was seemingly cut cleanly in half.

Yes, he did it. He killed Seijuro.

Yet, as he turned around, Seijuro appeared behind him. With his sword extended, he slashed the man's head clean off.

Seijuro turned around once more. He was being flanked. Fuck.

"Wind Style: Vacuum Bullets!"

Dozens of wind bullets exploded from a Jōnin's mouth. Seijuro sidestepped once, then—

"Earth Style: Earth Spear."

As those words left his mouth, the cocky chunin in their ranks looked down... spikes... oh god.

The wind bullets, however, found their mark, and seven holes appeared in Seijuro's body.

The chunin smiled. Even if he died, he would die killing one of Konoha's future monsters... a hero.

A hero of the Sand... yeah.

POV change to Chiyo

....

.....

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ALL DOING?!" she shouted, yet no one listened to her. She watched as everyone from Sunagakure was killing each other.

Her mind tried to think of what would cause this... then she remembered.

The child... he released his sword.

If the child's dead, then that must mean the jutsu should end.

Looking at the kid, she was about to commit another crime on a kid.

Yet as she prepared to put him on a T-shirt, she noticed that she was surrounded by Konoha nin.

"Do you wish to also be part of their reality, Lady Chiyo?" Seijuro said politely, looking at the woman.

"Do not think this is the last time we meet, child," she said, looking at the kid.

He smiled at her.

"My Kyōka Suigetsu is more than ready for you," he said softly. She was annoyed but couldn't argue with the child and escaped.

That day... out of everyone stationed with Granny Chiyo—including herself and her brother—the remaining 300 ninja which were with her all died.

And the main reason for that... wasn't because of Tsunade or an elite Jounin of the Leaf... no, the main reason for that was because of Seijuro Kurama.

Or as Suna would refer to him... The Genjutsu Devil.
