The God of Ice and Fire at Hogwarts

Chapter 206: Lynn and Irina are a match made in heaven

"Is this... Peter Pettigrew?!"

Professor Lupin's eyes were filled with disbelief. As a long-time friend of Peter's, how could he not recognize Peter's Animagus form as a rat? What's more, this rat is missing a toe, which exactly matches the one found in the news reports.

If Peter Pettigrew didn't lose a toe from the curse explosion that night, but instead the golden cicada escaped its shell at the cost of one of its own toes, then everything makes sense!

After seeing the newspaper, Professor Lupin felt like he understood everything.

He said calmly, "So, Peter Pettigrew cast the explosive curse at the cost of one of his own toes and then blamed Sirius Black? In other words, the traitor who betrayed the Potter family was Peter Pettigrew, and what really happened that night was that Sirius went to hunt Peter, but in the end, he was blamed."

Seeing that Professor Lupin could almost reconstruct the truth of the matter from so little information, Irina couldn't help but look at him with admiration.

After all, not everyone has the divine perspective of Lynn and Irina. They can analyze the entire situation as if they were in the game!

"However, there's one thing I don't understand," said Professor Lupin solemnly. "If Sirius was really framed, why didn't he defend himself and end up in Azkaban?"

Irina whispered, "Maybe it's because of guilt."

After hearing Irina's words, Professor Lupin remembered that Sirius had suggested to James to change the Fidelius Charm's secret keeper to Peter Pettigrew.

If Sirius thought his proposal led to the deaths of the Potters and believed that Peter Pettigrew was dead, then it was truly possible that he didn't argue out of guilt, thinking he would spend his life alone in Azkaban to atone for his own ignorance.

But now that Sirius found out that Peter Pettigrew had faked his death, it makes sense that he would use his Animagus form to escape Azkaban and seek revenge on Peter Pettigrew.

Professor Lupin looked at Irina calmly and said, "Irina, I believe you know Sirius."

Irina nodded generously and admitted, "Yes, the day before Halloween, Lynn and I cornered Sirius in the Shrieking Shack after he had returned from a night break at Hogwarts Castle, and we learned everything from him."

In fact, Sirius didn't tell her the information about the truth that Irina had conveyed earlier. After all, that day Sirius was beaten by her and Lynn one after the other, then told to cooperate in the operation. He had no chance to speak.

But Irina couldn't tell Professor Lupin about her identity as a time traveler, so she just blamed it on Sirius.

Upon hearing this, Professor Lupin finally smiled, "Now that you know everything and you've contacted Sirius, you came to see me today. You must have something you need my help with, right?"

Irina nodded and said, "Yes, in fact, we already have a plan to deal with Peter Pettigrew, and I came here alone hoping you could cooperate with our plan."

Professor Lupin said with curiosity, "Tell me your plan."

A plan that even the arrogant Sirius would admit is probably not bad.

So, Irina sincerely told Professor Lupin about their plan to subtly kill Peter Pettigrew using the alchemical cage.

"This plan... seems too evil..." After hearing the plan from Lynn and Irina, Professor Lupin couldn't help but frown, but soon thought about the Potter family, "But with evil penalties, evil can also be a form of justice."

Even the kind-hearted Professor Lupin approved of this plan. It shows how much he hated Peter Pettigrew for betraying the Potter family and causing the tragic death of James and Lily.

Irina whispered, "We just need you to keep your original plan unchanged, not alert anyone, not destroy Lynn's alchemical cage, and support us at the end of the school year."

Professor Lupin hesitated for a moment but still agreed, "Alright."

After receiving a satisfactory response, Irina bid farewell to Professor Lupin and left the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.

After Irina left, Professor Lupin was left alone in the classroom.

Professor Lupin looked in the direction of the classroom door and remained silent for a long time.

He didn't know how long it had been before he laughed to himself and said, "They're so good... Lynn and Irina... Ah, they're a match made in heaven..."

After the Dementor invasion during the Quidditch match, Dumbledore no longer allowed Dementors to come near Hogwarts, and they could only be stationed outside the grounds of Hogwarts.

Therefore, there were no Dementors near Hogwarts Castle anymore.

That night, Harry put on his Invisibility Cloak and sneaked out of Hogwarts Castle in the dark, heading towards the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

At the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Harry saw Lynn and Irina.

"I'm coming, Harry."

Lynn stepped forward and spoke calmly.

Harry scratched his head and said, "Good evening, Senior Rowle."

Lynn said, "Just call me Lynn. Listen to Irina, do you want to learn the Patronus Charm?"

Harry nodded vigorously and said firmly, "Yes, I want to learn this type of magic to fight against the Dementors!"

Lynn chuckled and said, "Of course, of course. No one wants to be powerless against Dementors. I'll just tell you the theoretical knowledge and the skills to cast the Patronus Charm once. Whether you remember it or not depends on you."

Hearing this, Harry quickly perked up and listened to Lynn attentively.

Lynn calmly explained the essence of the Patronus Charm: "A Patronus is a positive force, the external manifestation of those things that Dementors rely on to survive, including happiness, hope, and the desire for survival. But it's not... 'I don't feel despair like a real wizard, so the Dementors can do nothing about it.'"

"The only thing Dementors can do is use their own original power to counter the energy contained in the Patronus, just like the Patronus released by the Dementors when they attacked Irina and me during the Quidditch match, but in this case, the Dementors are also forced to retreat by the holy Patronus. That's why the Patronus is called the only magic that can contain the Dementors."

Lynn said.
