Chapter 233 Athena: You Play Quite Skillfully, Don't You? (4k for Votes)
Several days later, at nightfall, War God Mountain.
Medusa in the room looked at the bronze emblem on her chest that was glowing faintly, immediately got up, slipped out of the City of Athens under cover of darkness, and made her way to the familiar forest.
"Luo En, you're back?"
"Yeah, just finished up with some stuff."
"Who is she?"

"Atalanta, my student."
Luo En turned slightly to introduce Atalanta, who was accompanying him, to Medusa.
Another one?
Seeing the spirited huntress standing affectionately behind Luo En, Medusa couldn't help but feel wary.
"You're Anna, right? The teacher's sister? He talks about you a lot." Atalanta, straightforward in personality, gave the purple-haired goddess in the sheer dress a curious look, extended her hand with a heartily infectious smile, "Hmm, prettier than I imagined!"
"It's nothing like that..." Medusa's cheek reddened, and she waved her hands dismissively, her hostility towards Atalanta instantly evaporating.
Watching Medusa and Atalanta hit it off after a round of friendly chatter, chattering ceaselessly by his side, Luo En finally felt a weight lift off his chest.
It was a good thing he had praised Medusa highly before arriving and instilled a positive image of her in Atalanta's mind.
The naive Atalanta took his words to heart, and because of the "sibling" relationship between him and Medusa, she naturally trusted and liked Medusa.
Therefore, the first encounter between the reptilian and the feline didn't result in a standoff but rather ended quite amicably.
Having won the preliminary battle, Luo En cleared his throat to interrupt their private conversation and asked,
"By the way, how are The Three Graces doing? What have they been up to recently?"
"They've been living with Hestia. They mainly help Lady Hestia with preparations for feasts, and when they have some free time, they occasionally play with the nine Muses and together choreograph dances and compose music." Medusa reported truthfully and concluded, "It seems they quite enjoy life on War God Mountain."
"Are Athena and the others unhappy about anything?"
"Not at all, they all like the current atmosphere, and they've said that War God Mountain is a lot more lively now than before."
"Good, that's reassuring."
Luo En nodded, feeling secretly relieved.
Introducing The Three Graces to War God Mountain ahead of time and testing the reactions of the goddesses there was a strategy to feel out the situation.
No thunderbolts or major battles meant that the developments were still within what they could tolerate.
"However, Athena and Hestia often ask about your whereabouts, wondering when you'll come back. It seems they really miss you," Medusa added, prompting Luo En's eyelids to twitch as he instinctively felt a chill, and he couldn't help but grumble internally.
Miss me? They probably want to give me a thrashing, right?
After all, tolerance doesn't mean they've forgotten everything.
Luo En realized that the goddesses on War God Mountain were sharpening their knives, waiting for his return. He had no choice but to abandon any hopes of bluffing it out and start preparing to fend for himself.
"It's quite late; you take Atalanta into the city for now. Tomorrow morning, I'll take her to report to the Academy of Athens. She has just come out of the mountains of Arcadia and needs to learn some human societal courses," Luo En instructed.
"Alright!"
Medusa happily took up the task and reached out to take the hand of her new friend.
"Everyone's probably asleep at this hour, so how about you bunk with me for tonight and I'll accompany you two in the morning."
Atalanta nodded, then turned to look at Luo En.
"Teacher, what about you?"
"I've only just returned after being away for so long; I have some things to take care of."
"Another work report?"
"Cough, sort of..."
Luo En coughed and avoided a direct answer.
"Then, we'll wait for you at home tomorrow."
The straightforward Atalanta took his words at face value, promptly stood up with Medusa to prepare for a short rest in the City of Athens.
As Luo En watched their figures disappear into the night, he breathed a sigh of relief.
Good, his contingency plan was in place.
With the legitimate task of taking Atalanta to school the next day as a cover, even if something went awry, he wouldn't end up bedridden for a week, unable to tend to himself as before.
And bringing along Little Medusa, the darling of War God Mountain, provided an extra layer of assurance.
After all, the goddesses wouldn't want to see Little Medusa with a sad face, would they?
After carefully reviewing his arrangements in his mind, Luo En took a deep breath, stood up, stepped out of the dense forest, and merged into the deep night.

War God Mountain, Great Temple.
Athena flipped through the "Codex" in her hands, which had been revised more than a dozen times, comparing it to existing cases, meticulously reviewing each word and clause.
Although many parts were irregular and imperfect and far from Themis's absolute justice, with plenty of compromises and middle grounds made in the content of the laws and their enforcement,
They undoubtedly aligned with the current state of affairs where gods and mortals coexisted, as well as the basic national condition of the City of Athens, and could be effectively implemented.
And effective implementation is the most crucial aspect of exercising law.
Regardless, this marked a firm step in the era's transition from rule by man to rule by law, from disorder to order.
Athena finished reviewing the last page of the "Codex," assured there were no omissions, closed it with satisfaction, ready to hand it over to King Aegeus of Athens to try and enforce it the next day.
