Chapter 13: Chapter 13

After Sasuke finished, the next to step forward was Yoruha.

"Yoruha-san, please choose the weapon you'd like to demonstrate," the examiner asked, doing his best to remain professional.

He took a deep breath before speaking.

Because geniuses are awe-inspiring…But they also stir up envy, jealousy, and even resentment.

Still, as a trained ninja academy proctor, he quickly composed himself. The exam must go on.

As soon as Yoruha heard his name called, he stepped out of the lineup.

He glanced at the targets Sasuke had just used and said calmly:

"I'll test with the shuriken too. The same setup is fine."

The moment those words left his mouth, the whole classroom buzzed with chatter.

"Wow… is this handsome guy as good with shuriken as Sasuke-kun?"

"He must be. Why else would he choose the exact same setup?"

"Ugh, yes! Another good-looking guy doing cool things. This exam is the best thing ever!"

Predictably, the ones swooning the loudest were a group of starry-eyed girls who judged everything by appearance.

For them, looks were everything.

"Go, Big Bro! You've got this—you're the best!"

Yamanaka Ino stood in the crowd, chest puffed out with pride.

That was her brother out there.

And obviously, he was amazing.

Sure, Sasuke was good-looking, but in her eyes? Not even close to her brother.

Meanwhile, Hinata stole a quiet glance in Yoruha's direction, cheeks slightly pink.

Yoruha-kun… so many girls like him already. I feel a little... nervous.

Sasuke scoffed and glanced over at Yoruha with a condescending smirk.

"Yoruha Yamanaka, right? What I just did was dangerous, you know. It's not something that can be copied so casually."

His tone was full of arrogance.

The truth was, Sasuke had learned that impressive shuriken combo from his brother, Itachi.

And perfecting it hadn't been easy—he'd sprained his wrist, elbow, and shoulder more times than he could count.

Now here comes some no-name kid from a small clan trying to imitate him?

It was laughable.

Yoruha cast a sidelong glance at Sasuke but didn't even bother replying.

He wasn't interested in pointless posturing.

That "cool guy" act was hardwired into Sasuke's DNA—like some kind of genetic bloodline trait.

There was no point engaging.

"Yoruha-san," the examiner spoke again, "Are you sure you want to go with the same test method Sasuke-san used? If you fail… your score could take a serious hit."

The teacher was trying to be kind, clearly expecting a crash-and-burn moment.

"It's fine, Sensei. May I begin?" Yoruha replied, expression calm and unreadable.

The examiner exhaled again.

"Alright… begin."

All the students leaned in, holding their breath in anticipation.

But then…

To everyone's surprise—

Yoruha didn't leap into the air.He didn't twist his body or pull out flashy moves.

He simply raised his shuriken in a smooth, almost lazy motion—

And tossed them.

Then, without even watching the result, he turned and casually walked back toward the lineup.

The room was… stunned.

Wait, what?

That was it?

Where was the cool flair?

It felt underwhelming.

Anti-climactic.

Only Ino and Hinata didn't flinch.

To them, it didn't matter how showy Yoruha was—

In their hearts, he was already the strongest.

And sure enough…

Clink. Clink. Clink. Clink. Clink. Clink!

All six shuriken—

dead center.

Each one pierced straight into the bullseye of its target.

The room went silent.

Eyes widened. Jaws dropped.

"Ahhh… uh… Shikamaru…" Choji had frozen, mid-chew, with a potato chip half hanging from his mouth. "What… what just happened?"

Shikamaru just sighed, looking at Yoruha's back as he rejoined the group.

"…What do I think? I think I saw it with my own eyes, same as you."

"Hahaha! My big brother is the BEST!" Ino suddenly cheered, jumping up in joy.

She couldn't help but beam.

"Look, look! All bullseyes! Way better than those Uchiha brats."
