The Heavens: From Naruto to sign in

Chapter 15: Chapter 15

"Tch, so arrogant!"

Uchiha Sasuke had been ignored by Yoruha again and again.

It was driving him insane.

For someone obsessed with showing off, there's nothing more unbearable than being completely brushed asideright after trying to look cool.

So—Sasuke gritted his teeth, dug his foot into the ground, and used a burst of speed to leap forward.

His hand shot out—grabbing for the back of Yoruha's collar.

But Yoruha simply turned his body slightly to the side, caught Sasuke's wrist midair with one hand...

And with a small flick of his arm—sent Sasuke flying like a ragdoll.

Then—

Bang!

Yoruha casually landed a kick to Sasuke's lower half, sending him crashing like a cannonballstraight into Naruto's arms from behind.

And just like that—the very first "Naruto vs Sasuke" clash happened ahead of schedule…

Delivered by Yoruha himself.

The exam came to a close.

Yoruha, unsurprisingly, took first place overall.

Sasuke, who had been caught up in his own drama with Naruto, only scored 8 points in the physical test.

Still, thanks to his earlier results,he managed to rank second.

"Yoruha-kun… congratulations… on getting first place."Hinata approached shyly, cheeks glowing pink.

She spoke softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Yoruha smiled gently, patted her on the head, and replied:

"Congratulations to you too. I saw how well you did.""If I'm right, we'll probably end up in the same class.""That means we'll get to see each other every day."

Hinata's heart instantly melted. The fact that Yoruha had been paying attention to her…?

It was like a sunbeam burst open in her chest.

Then—his hand gently touched the top of her head.

And just like that, stars filled her eyes—sparkling, spinning—

She almost fainted right there.

Luckily, Ino caught her just in time.

"Geez, Big Bro…" Ino gave Yoruha a side-eye."You're really out here teasing Hinata-chan like that? What's your plan—are you trying to tame her or something?"

"It's a little too effective, don't you think?"

Ino grumbled under her breath.

Thankfully, Yoruha was her actual brother.

Otherwise?

She'd be choking on romantic tension every ten seconds.

Who could handle that much secondhand flirting?!

Yoruha just gave a relaxed shrug and smiled.

"Taming, huh? Not a bad idea…"

All entrance exams were now complete.

Konoha's famous "Nine Rookie Genin"—plus the dark horse powerhouse, Yoruha—had officially passed and earned their academy placements.

Later, on the wide training field of the ninja school,Yoruha stood exactly where he'd wanted to be for days:

At the check-in zone.

"Ding!"

"Host has reached the designated sign-in location.""Sign-in starting in: 10… 9… 8… 7… 0."

"Congratulations! Host has successfully checked in!""Reward unlocked: Horizontal Slash Mastery!"

Horizontal Slash Mastery.

As soon as the reward settled into his system,Yoruha's lips curled up into a knowing smile.

"It used to be hidden weapons…And now we're doing sword techniques?"

Was this some kind of… samurai-themed system?

He wouldn't be surprised.

But that was fine.

Flat, horizontal slashes were a close-quarters combat style.

And Yoruha?He loved close-range, head-on fights.

A warm current rushed through his body.

Countless slashing forms, techniques, and micro-adjustmentsflowed directly into his mind.

It was as if he had trained for years in an instant.

But there wasn't time to dwell on it now—not with the Third Hokage still speaking onstage, delivering one of his ever-"inspirational" speeches.

"As long as leaves continue to fly,""the fire will continue to burn.""The shadow of the flame will shine on the village.""And new leaves will sprout—""You are the future of the village!"

The old man's voice rang out with righteous grandeur.

The students below clapped and cheered on cue.

That line—it echoed through the world of Naruto like a sacred motto.

But no matter how poetic it sounded…

Did the Third Hokage ever actually live by it?

The "Will of Fire" was supposed to represent selflessness.

But if the Hokage truly believed in that ideal—why had Konohamaru, his own grandson, been treated with kid gloves?

And why had Naruto Uzumaki—the son of the Fourth Hokage himself—been neglected his entire life?

Covered in shadows.

Drenched in bitterness.

A life where not even the brightest flamecould wash away the stains.
