Chapter 3: Chapter 3
"First, let's go meet our other teammate," I said.
As we walked through the mansion, I took in everything I had built so far. The place had a fully equipped gym, a library, a massive kitchen, and even a small lab—not too advanced, but good enough for research and tech development. My supercomputer was also set up there, running data and monitoring various events.
When we entered the gym, we saw Annie working the punching bag. She was throwing powerful, precise punches—probably using the workout to vent some frustration after our last conversation.
"Annie, I want you to meet someone," I called out.
She stopped mid-punch, turning toward us. Her gaze immediately locked onto All Might, curiosity flickering in her eyes.
"This is All Might," I introduced. "He's like you—someone from another world. In his world, he was the strongest hero and the Symbol of Peace."
All Might stepped forward, placing a hand on his chest and giving a small bow. "It is a pleasure to meet you, young lady!" He straightened up and gave his signature booming smile, radiating confidence. "From what Edward has told me, you are also a hero! It is always an honor to stand alongside those who fight for justice!"
Annie folded her arms, raising an eyebrow. "The strongest hero, huh?" She looked him up and down, clearly skeptical of his Small Might form.
All Might chuckled. "Ah, I see that look! Worry not—this is just my weakened state. When the time calls for it... I can still stand tall!"
With a burst of golden energy, his body expanded in an instant, muscles bulging as he transformed into his true form—the towering Symbol of Peace himself.
"I AM HERE!" he declared with his booming voice.
Annie blinked, surprised for a moment, before smirking. "Alright, that's impressive. But let's see if you can back it up." She tapped her fist against her palm. "You up for a little sparring?"
I grinned, knowing things were about to get interesting.
They both stepped into the sparring ring, sizing each other up. Annie was the first to move, launching a quick punch straight at All Might's stomach.
The hit landed cleanly—but nothing happened.
All Might didn't flinch, didn't even shift from his stance. He stood firm like an unmovable wall.
Annie's eyes widened in surprise. She tightened her fist and threw another punch, harder this time. Still nothing.
Her expression turned serious as she pushed herself further, each punch hitting harder than the last. The sound of her strikes echoed through the gym, but All Might remained unshaken. She wasn't holding back anymore—this was her full strength.
For nearly a full minute, Annie threw everything she had at him. Then, finally, All Might decided to move.
With a simple step forward, he cocked back his fist and—
BOOM!
One punch. Just one.
Annie was sent flying, crashing out of the ring and straight into the wall with a loud thud.
I could tell he had held back—a lot. If he hadn't, she wouldn't be getting up.
Annie groaned, pulling herself out of the crater-shaped dent she had made in the wall. She shook her head and let out a breathless laugh. "Okay... yeah. You're strong."
All Might grinned, flexing his arm. "Strength is not just about power, young lady. It's also about knowing how much to use."
Annie smirked, wiping some dust off her shoulder. "Then teach me."
"I'll leave you two to train. Annie, catch him up on everything," I said before turning to leave.
I had other things to take care of, so I made my way to my lab. As soon as I stepped inside, I called out, "Church, I need you to do something."
His voice crackled through the speakers, dripping with sarcasm. "Oh sure, just barge in here with demands. No 'Hey Church, how's your day going?' Just straight to bossing me around."
I sighed. "Fine. Hello, Church. How's your day?"
"Wow, look at that, manners! Was that so hard? Anyway, I'm still working on the list you gave me."
He was talking about the tracking system I'd tasked him with—keeping tabs on superheroes and villains, even the ones that hadn't made their debut yet. The goal was simple: build a strong team and, if possible, stop certain villains before they ever became threats.
"That's fine, keep at it," I said. "But I need you to do something else. I need you to buy a large cargo plane for shipping materials."
"I thought the plan was to wait, hire a pilot, and get a proper crew?"
"Yeah, that was the plan. But things have changed. I just got something that's going to speed up the entire operation."
"Alright, give me a sec," Church muttered. A moment later, an image popped up on my screen.
"This is the Antonov An-225 Mriya, the biggest cargo plane available. It should be able to handle whatever materials you need to move."
I nodded. "Perfect. Buy it and have it moved to a private airport."
"Done. But seriously, who's gonna fly it? And how are you planning on handling the shipments?"
I smirked. "I've got that covered. First, I'll build some robots to help with the heavy lifting. Second, I'm bringing the plane to life."
There was a brief silence before Church spoke again. "Wait… what?!"
"You heard me."
"How the hell do you plan on bringing a plane to life?!"
"Remember what I told you about my powers?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, right. Your ridiculous, overpowered, gacha-based ability that lets you summon people, items, and new powers every month. Absolute nonsense, by the way."
I chuckled. "Yeah, it's a little broken. But hey, not every ability is a game-changer. Sometimes I get useless stuff."
"Uh-huh. And which 'not-so-useless' ability lets you bring a damn plane to life?"
"The Transformer Spark."
Another pause. Then, "Holy crap. You're actually gonna turn this thing into a Transformer?"
"Damn right I am."
Church groaned. "You don't do anything halfway, do you?"
"Nope." I grinned. "Now, prep everything. We've got work to do."
I told Church to order the necessary parts so I could start building some robots. It would take a few days for everything to arrive, so in the meantime, I focused on something just as important—Annie's new suit.
I knew that the moment our base was ready and the teleporter was online, she would want to jump straight into hero work. That meant she needed a proper disguise. The goal wasn't to make anything too flashy, just something practical and untraceable.
The suit had a hood to help conceal her hair and a mask covering her mouth and nose. For her eyes, I designed a visor with cutouts so she could see clearly while still keeping her identity hidden. I also made sure to include gloves—no way was I letting her leave fingerprints behind. As for the rest of the outfit, I opted for pants instead of a skirt. Mobility and protection were more important than aesthetics, at least for now.
Later on, I could work on upgrading the materials, making it more durable. But since regular bullets didn't harm her, I focused on functionality and appearance rather than heavy armor.
After spending a few hours finalizing the design, I was done. Satisfied with my work, I stretched and decided to get some rest.

"Church, wake me up tonight when the plane arrives," I instructed before heading to my room.
Once I was settled in, I activated my ability.
"System, assimilate powers."
Immediately, a sharp pain shot through my head and body, but it didn't last long. I gritted my teeth, enduring it, and once it faded, exhaustion took over.
Not wasting another second, I let sleep claim me.
A few hours passed, and Church's voice echoed through the speakers in my room.
"Hey, time to get up. The plane's here."
I sat up, stretching and rubbing my eyes. "Tell Annie and All Might to meet me out front," I said, getting to my feet.
I hadn't even bothered changing before passing out, so I just headed straight for the door. As I walked, though, something felt... different. There was a strange energy flowing through my body, something I hadn't noticed before.
I stopped in my tracks, focusing on the sensation. It took me a second, but then it clicked—Aura. I had unlocked my Aura.
I closed my eyes and tried to spread it evenly throughout my body. It was harder than I thought, requiring constant concentration. After a few minutes of effort, I managed to coat myself in a thin, imperfect layer of energy. Not perfect, but it was a start.
"I'll need to train this properly when I have time," I muttered before continuing on my way.
When I reached the front, Annie and All Might were already waiting. Both were dressed casually, and All Might was back in his Small Might form.
"Sorry for the wait, I was testing something," I said.
"It's fine, don't worry about it," All Might—Toshinori—replied with a reassuring smile.
"Good. You two ready?" I asked.
Annie crossed her arms. "Ready for what? And where are we going?"
I smirked. "I'm about to blow your minds. We're going to a private airport."
We headed outside and hopped into one of my cars—a sleek black and yellow Chevrolet Camaro. Yeah, it looked like Bumblebee. Don't judge me. Every kid wanted one of these growing up.
The drive to the private airport took about four hours. Along the way, I talked with Toshinori about his plans. Unsurprisingly, he wanted to continue doing hero work. That was fine by me, but given his injury, he could only maintain his All Might form for a few hours a day—for now. I told him I'd work on a way to fix him up, but he'd need to wait until our base and teleporter were fully operational.
Also, he wanted us to start calling him by his real name, Toshinori.
By the time we arrived, the sun was starting to set. The airport was completely deserted, far away from the city—perfect for what we needed. We drove straight to where the plane was parked, and there it was: massive, towering over everything. The Antonov An-225 Mriya.
It was white and red for now, but that could be changed later. More importantly, it was perfect for our plans.
I pulled out my phone. "Church, are we clear?"
"Of course we are. Who do you think I am? No satellites, no cameras, no nearby people. I made sure of it. I mean, come on, I'm the best in the world."
I rolled my eyes. "Okay, okay, I get it."
Taking a deep breath, I pulled out The Spark from my system inventory. The moment I held it up, it flew out of my hand, surging toward the plane.
Blue lightning crackled around the aircraft, spreading across its entire body. The transformation began.
The plane shifted, its metal plating rearranging as massive parts extended and shifted into place. It took a few minutes, but when it was done, a colossal Transformer stood before us, towering over everything.
Annie's eyes were wide. "Wow."
Toshinori chuckled. "You weren't kidding about blowing our minds."
The Transformer looked around before kneeling, lowering itself to get a better look at us. Its glowing optics locked onto me.
"Who are you?" it asked.
I stepped forward. "My name is Edward, but you can call me Ed. This is Annie, and this is Toshinori."
The Transformer seemed to process that before asking, "Who am I? And… how am I alive?"
I crossed my arms. "You don't have a name yet, but I can give you one. And as for how you're alive? That's because of me."
It stared at me for a long moment. "What is my purpose?"
"To help us. To make this world better."
It nodded slowly, then tilted its head. "Alright… What is my name, Father?"
I blinked. That caught me off guard. Father?
I supposed it made sense. I had technically brought it to life.
After a moment of thought, I smirked. "Your name is… stratosphere."
After that, I told Stratosphere to stay put, assuring him we'd be back soon. I also instructed Church to keep the airport under surveillance—I didn't want anyone stumbling upon Stratosphere.
A couple of days later, the parts I ordered finally arrived. I wasted no time and immediately started working on the robots. The first thing I did was build multiple automated assembly units to assist in manufacturing. With them operational, I could quickly construct multiple robots.
I designed some of them to resemble humans for tasks at the airport, but I didn't bother giving them detailed appearances—just basic worker models. After that, I had Church order the materials we needed for our base on the island.
It took a long time to acquire everything, and while we waited, I had Church hack into Stark Industries. I wasn't interested in stealing anything—just copying the Arc Reactor data. After all, they weren't using it right now, and it would be extremely useful for us. Church ensured that we only copied the data, leaving no trace behind.
As soon as we had the data, I instructed him to order the necessary materials. I wanted to build an Arc Reactor big enough to power the entire island.
The base construction took about two months. The first month was spent preparing the land, setting up an energy grid, and constructing the Arc Reactor to provide power. Alongside that, I built a factory to produce more robots, ensuring we could work around the clock. I also made sure that no satellites could track the island or detect the reactor.
By the second month, the base was finally complete.
The robots made the construction process incredibly fast—after all, they didn't need food, rest, or sleep. We also built an airfield for Stratosphere, since he wasn't a fan of landing on rough terrain.
The base was massive, equipped with everything we could possibly need:
Laboratory
Workshop
Cafeteria & Bar
Medical Wing
Training Area
Briefing Room
Teleporter Room (still under construction)
Hangar Bay (for planes and jets)
Computer Room
Living Quarters (fully furnished)
Bathrooms & Showers
Dressing Rooms (for hero outfits)
Swimming Pool (because why not?)
Church was fully integrated into the base, with speakers, cameras, and projectors installed everywhere so he could appear in any room. Additionally, I worked with him to cloak the island, making it undetectable. I had to set up beacons around the perimeter for this, and Church ensured that every digital record of the island was erased from the world's systems.
The only thing missing now was a way to prevent magical tracking—but since I didn't have any magic, nor a magic user on my team, that problem would have to wait.
Once everything was ready, we flew to the island on Stratosphere. We landed on the newly built airstrip and drove to the base.
"Welcome to our new base," I said as we stepped out.
Annie and Toshinori both took in the sight before them.
"Wow," they said in unison.
Annie looked around. "It's huge."
I nodded. "It had to be. I'm planning to recruit at least a hundred heroes, and some of them might want to bring their families here."
Toshinori glanced at the island's landscape. "The island itself is beautiful. Does it have a name?"
I smiled. "Yeah. It's called Eliora."
Annie tilted her head. "That's a beautiful name."
"Thanks. I named it after my mother."
Both of them went silent, their expressions softening with sympathy.
"I'm sure she would've loved it," Toshinori said gently.
I blinked, confused for a second before realizing what they were thinking.
"Oh—no, no, no. She's not dead."
They both looked at me in surprise.
"Oh. Then where is she?" Annie asked.
I shrugged. "I don't know."
Toshinori raised a brow. "You don't know?"
I sighed. "Yeah. I mean, what do gods even do on a daily basis? Your guess is as good as mine."
Annie froze. "Wait… Your mom is a god?"
"Yeah. Have I never mentioned that?"
"NO!" they both shouted.
Toshinori frowned. "Wait… what does that make you?"
I smirked. "A demigod."
They just stared at me.
I clapped my hands. "Okay, moving on! Church and I will give you a tour of the base."
As we walked inside, I could tell they were still processing the whole demigod thing. I led them through the briefing room, lab, medical wing, training area, and finally, the teleporter room, where we stopped.
Annie looked around. "Is the teleporter working now?"
I shook my head. "Not yet. I need another week to finish it."
Annie crossed her arms. "But you said it would take two months."
"I know, but I've been busy building the base. Just one more week, then you can start hero work."
"But I really want to help people," she said.
I sighed. "I know, Annie, but just be patient."
She looked frustrated, but before she could argue, Toshinori placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Patience is something all heroes need," he said.
Annie's gaze dropped. "I know… It's just… I thought I was born with these powers. But I wasn't. My mom let a company inject me with a Superdrug just to make money. It was all a lie."
I softened. "That doesn't matter. What matters is what you do with your powers now."
She nodded, still looking conflicted.
"Look, let Church finish the tour while I work on the teleporter," I said. "By the way, the teleporter is called the Ground Bridge."
Annie raised a brow. "You named it?"
Before I could answer, Church appeared in his hologram form, holding a sniper rifle.
"Yeah, and he totally stole the name from Transformers Prime."
Annie blinked. "Why do you have a gun? You're a hologram—it won't do anything."
Church smirked. "It makes me look cool. Ladies love a guy with a gun."
Annie deadpanned. "You're an AI."
Church huffed. "Ed promised to make me an AI girlfriend."
Both Annie and Toshinori turned to me.
I shrugged. "What? Everyone needs love. Even AI."
Annie laughed as they walked off with Church, leaving me to work on the Ground Bridge.
I pulled up my system.
"System, use points."
"Activation Gacha," the system confirmed.
