Chapter 3: The Moon Has Awakened..
Chapter 3
Quirin was surprised that his son was so bold, but immediately protested against it, "No, Varian you are NOT going to that library, I forbid you." His son then got defensive, "When have you ever stopped me, this is my MOTHER, and I won't let you keep me away from her anymore!!" Quirin was getting frustrated with his son and they began arguing. "Son, I would want Ulla back as well, but she isn't the person I fell for anymore, she has become nothing more than a stranger to me, and I don't know what she is capable of." Quirin told him. "And how do you know Mom's partner was telling the truth? Did you trust Donella?!" Varian shouted. "Well, she was quite envious of me and Ulla, so we weren't on great terms.." His father said. In that moment, Quirin snapped at his son and regretted every word he said, "So you're leaving then?! Of course, both of you left me behind in the end, leave then, I wouldn't want a disappointing failure that nearly killed me for an answer, you ashame me just like her!" Quirin then smacked his hand over his mouth, wishing he could take it all back as he saw a tear escaping his son's eye. "You.. You're ashamed of me?? I-I thought you were proud of me Dad.." Varian enunciated, his voice breaking. "Son.. I.." Quirin started when he was interrupted, "No. I get it, you don't want me here, so you're getting your wish, I'm leaving, and I don't believe I'll ever return." Varian stated firmly, his eyes flashing. He walked out of the house livid while Quirin processed the guilt of what he said to the 16 year old boy, his own blood, his child. Meanwhile, Varian made his way to the castle, needing to speak with Rapunzel about his nightmare, anger bubbling inside him as he unknowingly left a path of black that weakened the grass behind him, he was awakening his destiny.. as the embodiment of the Moonstone and he didn't even know it.
