A sharp ringing filled Rei's ears.

His body felt weightless, floating in an endless void. For a moment, there was nothing—no sound, no sensation, just an overwhelming emptiness. Then, all at once, his senses snapped back into place. A solid surface met his feet, a rush of cool air brushed against his skin, and the faint scent of burning incense filled his nose.

His vision cleared.

He was no longer in the classroom.

A massive cathedral-like hall stretched out before him. Towering stained-glass windows lined the walls, casting multicolored light across a polished marble floor. Golden runes pulsed faintly along the arched ceiling, weaving intricate patterns that shimmered like they were alive. The sheer scale of the place made Rei feel small, as though they had been summoned into the heart of something far greater than themselves.

All around him, his classmates stood frozen, adjusting to the sudden shift in reality. Some gasped in awe at the grand architecture. Others exchanged nervous glances, murmuring under their breath. The confusion and uncertainty in the air were palpable.

At the far end of the hall, a raised platform held an elaborate throne, where a regal man sat in absolute authority. He was dressed in deep blue and gold robes, a heavy crown resting upon his brow. His piercing gaze swept over them, calm yet analytical, as if measuring their worth the moment he laid eyes on them.

Beside him stood a group of armored knights, their hands resting on the hilts of their swords. Behind them, robed figures—priests or mages—stood in eerie silence, watching the newly summoned students with quiet reverence.

Then, a voice rang through the grand hall.

"Welcome, summoned heroes."

A tall man in silver and blue armor stepped forward from beside the throne, his posture firm, his voice strong and unwavering.

"My name is General Aldren, commander of the royal army," he announced. "By the decree of His Majesty, King Regnar, you have been brought to this world to serve as the champions of humanity."

The words settled heavily over the group.

Murmurs spread among the students.

"Summoned… heroes?"

"This is insane."

"Are we dreaming?"

Rei remained silent, observing the reactions around him. Near the front, Leon stood with his arms crossed, his face composed but his eyes sharp with thought. Beside him, Elena's gaze flickered between the knights and the robed figures, her usual calm demeanor intact, but her posture slightly more rigid than usual.

The general continued, his expression unwavering. "Our world, Eryndor, has long been threatened by the forces of the Demon King. As foretold by prophecy, heroes from another realm would be summoned to turn the tides of war. That is you."

Before anyone could respond, a chime rang through the air.

A golden glow enveloped the entire hall.

Rei stiffened as warmth surged through his body, something deep inside him stirring. The sensation was neither painful nor pleasant, but it was overwhelming, like an unseen force altering something fundamental within him.

Gasps filled the air as glowing blue screens materialized before each student.

The moment those words appeared, a brilliant golden light erupted around two figures at the front—Leon and Elena.

The energy surrounding them was different from the others—stronger, purer, almost divine.

The murmurs grew louder.

It was a support class. Decent, but far from remarkable.
