The Pinnacle of the Navy! Starting from Being Captured by Garp

The sea breeze gradually subsided, though the heat of battle had not yet fully dissipated. Hachi dragged Kuroobi as they stumbled and fled towards the sea. Amidst splashing water, the two pathetic figures quickly vanished where the sky met the sea. On the other side, Ace was excitedly flexing his fists, while Luffy was jumping and shouting, "Let's go, let's go! I want to eat!!"

They had just taken a few steps when Roy suddenly stopped. As if sensing something, he looked back at the wreckage of the Arlong Pirates' ship, his gaze landing on a certain spot near the stern, and a slight smile appeared on his lips.

"I almost forgot, they still have a 'little pet'."

He gently clenched his right hand, and the empty space vibrated with a "vmm!"

"BOOM!!!"

The sea surface suddenly exploded with a thunderous roar! Amidst the towering waves, a massive black shadow was forcibly teleported out from the bottom of the sea, soaring into the air.

"MOO?!!"

The giant sea cow, Moomoo, stared with its wide eyes, struggling frantically in the air, its fins flapping wildly, but it was completely unable to break free from the invisible force.

The villagers of Cocoyasi were all dumbfounded.

"Heavens... is that a sea beast?!"

"It's so big! How is it flying?!!"

"Wait... isn't that the monster that was next to Arlong's ship?!"

Ace and Luffy's eyes immediately lit up. "ROAST BEEF!!! It's huge!!"

"Yeah!! We're having a big feast tonight!!"

Roy smiled and lowered his palm. Behind him, Ace's flames instantly ignited. "Then, let the feast begin!"

A few hours later, smoke curled up from the village square, and a delicious aroma filled the air. The massive body of the sea cow, Moomoo, had been neatly cut into portions by Roy's precise slashes and was now being roasted over the flames of Ace's Flare-Flare Fruit, sizzling as it turned.

The villagers sat together in a circle, some holding skewers, others raising their cups in celebration. The children were running around Luffy and Ace, who were now the heroes of the entire village.

Sheriff Genzo, wearing his pinwheel hat, his face stained with grease, walked over with a bowl of wine, his heart full of emotion. Beside him was the old village doctor, Dr. Nako.

"Rear Admiral Roy!" Genzo gave a slightly nervous military salute. "You saved our entire village. I... we really don't know how to thank you..."

Dr. Nako also bowed slightly. "Thanks to your timely intervention, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable."

Roy waved his hand, his expression calm and firm. "No need for thanks."

"We are the Marines," he said solemnly. "Fighting pirates and protecting the people is our duty."

"And, you were very brave," Roy suddenly turned to look at Genzo, his eyes sincere. "Not everyone has the courage to stand up to ferocious pirates."

Genzo was taken aback for a moment, then grinned, but his face was already red. This 36-year-old patrolman had dealt with "ordinary" things all his life and had never imagined that one day he would be personally praised for his bravery by a Rear Admiral from Marine Headquarters.

"I..." Genzo's lips moved, but in the end, he just foolishly scratched the back of his head. "Hehehe..."

While he was still shy, Luffy and Ace were already fighting in front of the grill.

"Hey, hey! I saw that medium-rare piece first!!"

"Stop grabbing! Didn't you just eat three pieces?!"

"But you ate four skewers!!"

"Don't fight, don't fight. I think this thigh meat looks good. I'll cut a piece."

"You don't even know how to cut meat!!"

"Hahahahaha—"

The villagers were laughing heartily at the two kids, the air filled with a rare warmth and peace after the battle. Roy also sat down and took the grilled beef Genzo handed him, taking a bite. "Mm," he chewed for a moment and nodded in satisfaction. "Tastes good."

"...Dad and Mom would probably like this."

East Blue, Loguetown Port, Night

Night had fallen, and the fog had not yet completely dispersed. The dim port lights swayed gently in the sea breeze. Everything was as usual. The fishing boats had long since docked, the vendors had closed their stalls, and seagulls circled and called among the masts. Occasionally, patrolling Marines could be heard talking softly. It was a picture of peace.

Until a heaven-shaking explosion shattered the night.

"BOOM!!!"

A huge wave erupted from the sea, and a massive pirate ship suddenly appeared in the center of the port, its hull scorched black and its flag tattered. The emblem on the sail was unmistakably—the symbol of the Arlong Pirates.

"Wh-What?!"

"It's a pirate ship!!"

"Pirates have broken into the port!!!"

Screams instantly erupted on the pier. The crowd scattered, and Marine soldiers rushed out from the watchtowers, aiming their rifles at the ship. But just as the tense atmosphere was about to explode—

"All of you, stand down!!"

A furious roar silenced the port. Smoke billowed from behind the crowd, and Smoker, wearing his Marine coat and biting two cigars that were burned to the end, strode forward. He glanced at the huge, pathetic-looking ship, and his mouth twitched violently. "This is definitely that bastard Roy's doing."

Sure enough, "Yo, Smoker-san~" In the night wind, Roy was half-leaning against the ship's rail. He waved a hand, his Marine uniform looking dashingly handsome in the moonlight, his smile infuriatingly smug. The two little kids also poked their heads out beside him, their faces still stained with grease and un-wiped sauce.

"Smoker-san!" Luffy waved excitedly. "We brought back a present!"

"You still know how to come back?" A vein throbbed on Smoker's forehead. "You three, what the hell have you been up to again?!"

Five minutes later, Loguetown Marine Office

The candlelight flickered in the room. On the wooden table were old logbooks and ledgers, each page recording plunder and enslavement. Smoker flipped through them and snorted coldly. "These fish-man trash actually looted so many villages in the Grand Line. It's all stolen goods."

Roy leaned against the window, looking at the swaying port lights in the night, his tone leisurely. "I'm leaving the ship to you. The things inside, investigate what you can, and what you can't, just hand it over to the Marine supply department."

Smoker glanced at him. "It took you a whole day to deal with these small fries?"

Roy laughed and pointed to the two who were eating a late-night snack beside him. "Me? I didn't do anything. It was all thanks to these two kids."

Ace was gnawing on a piece of jerky, a faint flame dancing on his fingertips. "A few fish-men are nothing."

Luffy had already finished his third skewer of octopus balls and said indistinctly, "We also... had a super awesome feast!"

Smoker raised an eyebrow, for once giving them a second look. The presence of these two children had changed. They had grown to this extent. He was silent for a moment, then finally let out a low "tsk." "Hmph, you brats. Well done."

As he spoke, Luffy and Ace shot up as if they had misheard.

"Grumpy old man, are you actually praising us?!"

"For real?! You don't have a fever, do you?!"

"You two little bastards!" Smoker slammed the table. "Get out!!!"

The two of them happily scampered out, pulling Roy with them.

"Wait!" Smoker took two steps after them. "Didn't you just have a feast? Why are you in such a hurry again?"

Ace shouted back without turning, "We have to go back and see grandma! Grandma is still waiting for us to eat a late-night snack!"

Luffy also shouted, "She said she's going to make me meat soup!"

"You... hey, slow down! If you run around in the middle of the night, you'll get lost and won't be able to find your way home!!"

"Who are you calling directionally challenged!!"

"That bastard Roy, he comes back for once and leaves so quickly..."

At the port, the moonlight fell on their gradually receding figures. The residents had already gathered in a circle, looking at the docked Arlong Pirates' giant ship, their eyes full of shock and awe.

"I hear they saved the entire village of Cocoyasi!"

"They actually took down the Arlong Pirates in just one day... and came back?"

"I hear they even had a feast on the way!!!"

"That's Rear Admiral Roy from Headquarters. He's so cool!!"

The gentle sea breeze carried the lingering scent of barbecue.

"As expected of the elites from Marine Headquarters."

"With them in the East Blue, we can feel so much safer..."
