The Rich Second-Generation Villain With No Morals

Chapter 54

Chapter 54: Time to Show Off My Acting Skills:

Riding his bicycle, Wang Cheng fantasized about marrying Lan Yuxi, becoming rich and successful, and stepping on Qi Lin as he reached the peak of his life.

He had no idea that a group of thugs was waiting for him in the alley ahead.

As soon as Wang Cheng entered the alley, a figure suddenly darted out from the side.

The distance was too short for Wang Cheng to brake in time.

“Oww!”

His bicycle crashed into Chen Shimen, sending him flying backward. He rolled on the ground for more than ten meters before finally coming to a stop.

Wang Cheng: “…”

Damn! This was just a bicycle, not a car.

How could someone be knocked down so dramatically? What the hell was this guy doing?

Stopping his bike, Wang Cheng walked over, trying to pull the guy up while kindly asking, “Brother, are you okay?”

But Chen Shimen had no intention of getting up. Clutching his leg, he howled, “Oww! You broke my leg! You’re not leaving without paying at least ten grand!”

“Ten grand?”

Hearing that, Wang Cheng almost laughed out loud.

Now he understood—this guy was trying to scam him.

“Brother, you ran into me. It wasn’t my fault. Why should I pay you anything?”

“Just helping you up is already a favor. Forget ten grand—I wouldn’t give you a single cent!”

Wang Cheng sneered, cursing the guy in his head before turning back to his bike, ready to leave.

“Aiya! Somebody help me! This kid hit me and won’t even apologize or pay up! He’s trying to run away! Somebody come and be a witness!”

Seeing Wang Cheng about to escape, Chen Shimen suddenly wailed loudly.

Coincidentally, as soon as he shouted, five or six shady-looking thugs appeared in the alley.

“Hey, kid, you think you can just leave after hitting someone without paying? Where’s your conscience?”

“Tsk tsk, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. We all saw what happened. Where do you think you’re going?”

“Listen, kid, be a decent person. Take him to the hospital and get him checked out.”

The thugs surrounded Wang Cheng, each one throwing in a few words of ‘advice.’

“Are you guys blind? He ran into me! How is this my fault? And look at him—he doesn’t even have a scratch. Does he look like someone who needs a hospital?”

Wang Cheng was in a hurry to get to Rose Bay 173 to help Lan Yuxi’s aunt. He didn’t have time to argue with these guys.

“Get out of my way, I have important business to attend to.”

Losing his patience, he shoved one of the thugs aside.

“Ahh!”

With just a light push, the thug stumbled backward and dramatically rolled several times on the ground.

Wang Cheng: “…”

If they weren’t acting so obviously, he would have thought he had mastered some kind of martial arts.

How else could a simple shove send people flying?

“Brothers, this kid not only refuses to admit his mistake but even dares to attack us! We can’t let him go!”

“Still trying to fight? Guys, let’s teach him a lesson!”

The other thugs saw that their buddy had started acting, and they couldn’t resist joining in.

In truth, Qi Lin hadn’t asked them to beat up Wang Cheng.

But Wang Cheng was too good-looking, and the gang of thugs was jealous.

They couldn’t resist the urge to mess up his pretty face.

Jealousy was a vicious cycle—Wang Cheng resented Qi Lin and tried to trip him up.

Now, these thugs resented Wang Cheng and wanted to give him a beating.

It was only fair.

“You… What are you guys trying to do?”

Seeing the thugs cracking their knuckles with malicious intent, Wang Cheng finally panicked and stepped back.

But behind him was a brick wall.

There was nowhere to run.

“Ahhh!”

A moment later, Wang Cheng’s screams echoed through the alley.

Lan Yuxi’s diary had already provided the exact address of her aunt’s restaurant.

Qi Lin parked his car far from Jianghan Restaurant to avoid suspicion.

Then, he pulled out a makeup kit and began disguising himself.

Since he and Wang Cheng were of similar age, skin tone, and both around 1.8 meters tall, he didn’t need to use his bone-shrinking technique.

Within minutes, when Qi Lin looked into his makeup mirror, an identical ‘Wang Cheng’ stared back at him.

Satisfied, he nodded, got out of the car, and walked toward Jianghan Restaurant.

“So, Lan Yuxi’s aunt is a rich woman, huh? This restaurant is pretty big.”

Looking at the three-story restaurant with a strong traditional Chinese aesthetic, Qi Lin couldn’t help but click his tongue in admiration.

South Lake Rose Bay was one of the wealthiest areas in Jianghan City.

Even in 2002, renting or buying a building here was incredibly expensive.

“Sir, would you like to order something?”

As soon as Qi Lin stepped inside, a pretty waitress greeted him with a polite smile.

The moment he saw her, Qi Lin knew—it was time to show off his acting skills.

“Hey there, beautiful. I’m not here to eat. Lan Yuxi sent me over for a job. Can you call the boss for me?”

‘Wang Cheng’ gave her a once-over, his gaze filled with a sleazy arrogance.

The waitress frowned slightly.

This boy wasn’t very old, but he gave off a perverted vibe.

She didn’t understand why her boss would hire someone like him.

“Wait here. I’ll go get the boss.”

Although her first impression of ‘Wang Cheng’ wasn’t great, the waitress still went to inform the owner.
