The Rich Second-Generation Villain With No Morals

Chapter 56

Chapter 56: Maybe the Tremella Wasn’t Cooked Properly:

On his way to the kitchen, Qi Lin casually popped a piece of chewing gum into his mouth, the corners of his lips curling into a mischievous smile.

For his first run, he brought out shrimp dumplings and egg tarts.

As he walked out of the kitchen, he tossed one shrimp dumpling and one egg tart into his mouth.

“Mmm~ not bad. The breakfast here is actually pretty good. How did I never notice before?”

“And it’s not just the food—this auntie is stunning. I should drop by more often.”

Qi Lin smirked as he munched on someone else’s breakfast.

“Order’s up.”

He casually placed the two baskets on the table and turned to leave.

The customers looked at each other in surprise, their expressions darkening.

What kind of attitude was this?

They were paying customers, yet the service they received was this lousy?

But since they were regulars, they decided to let it slide.

However, something felt off.

Why was there one piece missing from each basket?

They had been eating here for a long time, and they knew exactly how many pieces were supposed to be in each portion.

“Forget it. Maybe the kitchen miscounted.”

The customers were forgiving and didn’t complain to Xia Sha.

Qi Lin, who was carrying a bowl of sweet tremella lotus seed soup from the kitchen, chuckled.

“These customers are pretty tolerant. Lousy service and short portions, yet they’re still staying?”

“Guess I’ll have to go all out.”

With that thought, Qi Lin chewed his gum a few more times and then casually spat it into the tremella soup.

“Ugh…”

Even he found it disgusting to look at.

But hey, he was the villain. Doing bad things was second nature.

With an innocent expression, he carried the bowl over and set it down.

Five minutes later—

“Bleh!”

“Waiter! Get over here!”

One of the customers shot up from his seat, his face full of rage as he pointed at the table, signaling for ‘Wang Cheng’ to come over.

The outburst caught Xia Sha’s attention.

She quickly walked over with ‘Wang Cheng’ to see what had happened.

“Explain this to me—what the hell is this? Is this how your kitchen handles hygiene?”

“Why is there a chewed-up piece of gum in my tremella soup?”

The customer’s face was red with anger as he pointed at the bowl.

Xia Sha’s expression froze.

A used piece of gum in the food? That was a serious hygiene issue!

If word got out, it could ruin the restaurant’s reputation.

But in all the time she had run this place, nothing like this had ever happened before.

“Wang Cheng, explain this! What’s going on?”

Then, she suddenly remembered something—

She had noticed earlier that ‘Wang Cheng’ had been chewing something.

Her face turned pale.

Could it be…?

“Oh, that?”

‘Wang Cheng’ lazily pointed at the bowl.

“Isn’t that just the tremella not being fully cooked? It’s a little tough to chew, but if you chew it more, it should be fine.”

“Pfft!!”

The customers nearly spat blood in rage.

Did this punk really think they were blind?

Did he expect them to not know the difference between a chewed-up piece of gum and tremella?

This was clearly an excuse to avoid responsibility!

“Boss, we’ve been coming here for years, but we never expected to be treated like this. There’s nothing more to say. We’ll see you in court with the food safety department!”

The customers were furious.

Xia Sha hurriedly tried to calm them down, eventually managing to settle the matter by paying them 5,000 yuan in compensation.

The customers shot a final glare at ‘Wang Cheng’ before storming out.

“Wang Cheng, was that your gum?”

After the customers left, Xia Sha’s expression turned cold.

“Hmm… probably, maybe, possibly… could be.”

‘Wang Cheng’ scratched his nose, looking completely indifferent.

Seeing his lazy attitude, Xia Sha could no longer hold back.

“Get out! Get lost right now! Wang Cheng, I’m telling you, you’re fired!”

She pointed at the door, shouting in anger.

Hearing that he was fired, ‘Wang Cheng’ didn’t seem bothered. Instead, he looked annoyed.

“Fine, you can fire me, but you still have to pay me for today, right? I worked. You owe me 50 yuan.”

Seeing him extend his hand to ask for money, Xia Sha was so furious that she actually laughed.

“Wow, just wow. You actually have the nerve to ask me for money? Because of you, I just lost 5,000 yuan compensating those customers!”

“I should be asking you for money! Do you want me to call your parents and tell them what you did today?”

Realizing he wasn’t getting paid, ‘Wang Cheng’ shrugged.

“Fine, whatever. I don’t need the money. But when I leave, I’ll tell everyone this place is a scam.”

As he reached the door, he glanced at the fridge.

Then, under Xia Sha’s stunned gaze, he quickly grabbed three cans of Red Bull from inside and dashed out.

In the distance, his voice echoed—

“No pay? Fine! I’ll take your Red Bull instead! Heh, suck on that!”

“Pfft!”

Watching him disappear, Xia Sha’s vision went black.

She actually fainted from anger.

“Boss! Boss, are you okay?!”

The waitress from earlier, hearing the commotion, rushed down just in time to catch Xia Sha before she hit the ground.

If she hadn’t arrived, Xia Sha would have taken a nasty fall.
