The Rise of Victoria Seras

Chapter 52: 52. Old World

Chapter 52

2023 year

Earth.

I don't know what I was thinking when I teleported us to my old world, where I've been dead for a day. It made me nostalgically remember my family, who should still be alive. However, I'm not the guy they knew, or rather, not a guy at all or even a person, so I shouldn't go there.

- Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. - Alucard suddenly laughed, tearing me out of my thoughts.

- What's funny, Master?

- Oh, that was just awful of you, policewoman. I was dumbfounded to see Elizabeth so scared. - Alucard finished speaking and burst into laughter again.

- For someone who says that almost nothing makes him laugh, you laugh too often, Mater, but I'm glad you had fun, I said.

- Carmilla, this is your stop and since you've been such a nice guest, you have nothing to worry about. You're the only one here who's above the human level, but I still advise you not to get too cocky, because humans are quite capable of finding a way to kill a vampire. Have fun.

- Thanks Seras. I guess I'll see you in a hundred years?

- Yes, just don't forget to come back here. I'll wait a few days and if you don't show up, I'll have to leave.

- Don't worry, I'll be there.

- Okay. - Nodding and handing over a note with my own comments, I was about to send us on, but still couldn't resist and stopped.

"What happened, Seras?" Alucard asked me surprisingly softly.

"I… would like to see my family from my past life," I admitted.

- Really? Okay, let's go. - the vampire did not refuse.

- Thank you, master, - I thanked before taking us to a small town in Belarus, right across from a rather old private house.

"It was so long ago," I said with nostalgia, looking at the green-painted gate.

- ...you miss them. - Helena said affirmatively, not fully understanding what was happening.

- Yes. Even though I had many arguments with my brother because of my health problems, who simply did not want to understand my condition, and my father, who was extremely skeptical about remote work, I loved them very much. - I said sadly.

After standing in silence for a while, I thought and finally nodded decisively, took out a simple wooden box that was lying around in my inventory and threw a couple dozen gold bars in there, and on top I put a piece of paper on which I wrote a farewell letter, on top of which I put the Horse talisman and covered the box with cloth so that it would not be immediately visible what was inside.

- That should be enough. - I sighed and, lifting the box with one hand, headed towards the gate, opening which I was met by a very familiar creak.

I walked along the path with mixed feelings. In my new life as Seras, I lost my parents early on and the sadness of their deaths is still with me. But here too is my family, who are very much alive, but I shouldn't be around them.

Entering the porch, which was, as before, littered with various tools and an old non-working washing machine, I knocked on the door and took the box with both hands.

After waiting a few seconds, I heard heavy footsteps from the other side, and soon the door opened. My father stood in front of me, it was obvious that my death had hit him hard, but nevertheless, he tried to hold on, and somewhere in the house I could hear my mother crying.

- Hello, Father Gennady, - I greeted, but accidentally, out of habit, I said everything in English, which slightly confused my father, but I quickly corrected myself and spoke in Russian. - Ahem, excuse me, I came to you straight from England and have somewhat fallen out of the habit of speaking Russian.

- It's okay, did you want something?

- Yes. First, let me express my sincere condolences. I enjoyed reading the stories your son wrote and I am truly sorry that he is gone.

"Thank you for your kind words," the priest thanked me, although it was obvious that he was bothered by my obviously living cat ears, as well as the red color of my eyes.

Remembering that my father quite likes to watch the TV series Supernatural, and there non-human entities are rarely even a little bit good, I completely understood his fear.

- Okay, I see that you are uncomfortable in our company, so I will get straight to the point. This is where I ask for help from you and your family, before you indulge in prejudices about all sorts of devilry and the like, read the note. This is really important. - I said, putting the box filled with gold on the washing machine. - Oh, and yes, to avoid excessive envy from your neighbors, just in case, it is better to sort out the box only in the house.

Deciding not to wait for an answer, I grabbed my companions and moved away, and began to watch what happened after we left. I saw how my father cautiously lifted the cloth covering the box, and then froze in shock.

For almost a minute he stared dumbly at the contents of the box, and then with trembling hands he reached for the talisman and the note, but when he touched the talisman he was in for another shock. He was enveloped in a glow for only a couple of seconds, but it was clear that his condition had improved dramatically and he rushed to read what was written in the note, and the further he read, the more unbelieving his face became, but the talisman in his hand did not allow him to doubt that what was happening was true.

Covering the gold back and taking off his glasses, which suddenly became unnecessary. He took the note with the talisman and hurried into the house. It was really warm in my soul when I saw that this talisman, together with the note, were able to raise the mood of my family, while curing them of so many ailments. It's true that my brother is almost 27, otherwise it would be a shame to go to the army at such an age, but the younger one can no longer avoid this fate. And it was really funny when my brothers showed their parents who Victoria Seras was and what Hellsing they were talking about, which, by the way, led my father to understand who exactly was coming.

"Have you finished Seras?" Alucard asked.

- Yes, - I nodded and turned to Helena. - Sorry for the delay.

"It's okay," the vampire shook her head. "If I had such an opportunity, I wouldn't miss it."

- But who would have thought, policewoman. Your father was a priest.

"Does this change anything?" I asked.

- No. But it's still funny. - Alucard replied.

"So it's my turn now?" Helena asked.

- Yes, but I want to make you a special offer. I can choose the time I send you, so I briefly described the timeline so you can choose the more interesting one. - I handed her the prepared piece of paper with notes.

After thinking about what she had written for a few minutes, Helena spoke out.

- I would like to go at the same time as last time, and it would be good to pick me up in about... 50 years?

- Of course. In the same place, right?

- Yes.

I moved us again, this time to the shinobi world.

"How strange," Alucard whispered, drawing in the air filled with energy.

- This is the Master chakra. And here is a small guide on what to avoid otherwise there is a high probability of dying. - I said, handing another piece of paper to Helena.

- I see... thank you for doing all this, Seras.

- You're welcome. There should always be at least a drop of fun in life. - I answered with a smile. And then, together with Alucard, I returned to Hellsing.
