The Rise of Victoria Seras

Chapter 54: 54. Meeting with Incognito 2/2

Chapter 54

- Ugh, how indecent, you just saw a girl and are already trying to pierce her. - I said, appearing behind the vampire, who was clearly unhappy with his failure.

"You dodged it. That's impressive." Incognito stated, casually pulling his hand out of the ruined furniture before turning to me.

- Wait... aren't you a chick, Alucard? What are you doing here?

- Before I answer, can I ask you something?

- Very well. I'll let you ask one question before I kill you.

- What's with that third eye on your forehead? Plus, why are you naked? Are you trying to be a freak with grey skin on purpose? And finally, why don't you have a dick? - I fired off all the questions one after another like a machine gun. Although I was a bit disingenuous about being completely naked, he was wearing a huge coat after all.

- Are you fucking nuts?! - the enraged freak yelled, and the next moment I was knocked off my feet by a blow to the face.

-...hehe, someone is confused. - I sang, wiping the blood flowing from my mouth, making him even more angry.

- ... - this time he didn't say anything and just kicked me in the stomach, causing me to break through the wall behind me and fly outside.

Groaning a little in pain, I began to get to my feet in the middle of Helena's garden.

"You will pay for daring to make a fool of me," Incognito said as he walked through the hole my body had made.

- Hah, you know, that really hurts. You're almost as strong as my master. - I chuckled, as if the last two blows hadn't happened.

- You dare compare me to this inferior creature?! He is just a slave to the people he lost to. He should be proud that he was killed by someone who is superior to him in every way, just like you. - Two grenade launchers jumped out of his sleeves and he aimed them at me.

- Hahahaha!

"Do you laugh in the face of death?" asked Incognito, wondering if his victim had gone mad.

- No... ha-ha... no-no. I'm laughing at some brainless idiot who thinks he has no equal. It's so hilarious.

- Stupid slut. - said the incognito, before shooting strange purple needles, but when he pulled the trigger, I was no longer there.

"You need to curb your ego," I said, standing behind him and firing a shot into his right buttock.

When Incognito struck behind him, there was no one there anymore.

-...BITCHHHHHHHHHHH! - Realizing that his opponent was nowhere to be found, he roared in anger so loudly that the sound waves destroyed everything within a few meters of him. - WHEN I FIND YOU, I SWEAR YOU WILL REGRET NOT LETTING ME KILL YOU TODAY!

When I arrived in Alucard's room, I found the vampire sitting on his throne.

- Where have you disappeared to, policewoman?

- Well, I woke up too early and had an idea that I decided to test. I was right and it was fun.

- Did you have fun?

-...Next time I will definitely invite you with me, Master. - I quickly bowed my head in apology.

- Good. - Alucard nodded favorably. - So, what exactly did you do?

- Um... Well, I shot a real vampire working for the Fascists in the ass?

-…- Alucard's face flashed with a variety of emotions in an instant. From wanting to laugh, to anger at the risk I had put myself in, until the next moment I felt him break into my thoughts.

- This is what you call fun, policewoman? - Alucard asked angrily, having seen my entire skirmish with Incognito.

- …yes. – I answered quietly, moving away slightly.

- I can't believe you're putting yourself in such danger! - Alucard shouted, making the basement shake. - Your survival instinct, died in a ditch or something?

- I... I'm sorry, Master.

- Don't you ever dare do that again, understand?!

- I won't.

- Hmph. Integra wanted to talk to you. Go. - the vampire snorted irritably.

"Okay," I answered quietly before moving straight into Integra's office.

- Hmm? Seras? Great, you're just in time. - Integra smiled at my arrival. - We have a mission for you. You'll go with Lieutenant Fox.

- And Seras, - Integra became serious. - We can't afford any more casualties among our soldiers.

- There won't be even a scratch on them, I promise. - I said seriously. I think for Integra's sake I can hold back in an emergency.

- Thank you. We meet at 19:00.

About 10 minutes before the start of the meeting, I came to the meeting room, where soldiers were already sitting, many of them looked at me clearly not very kindly, but there was one exception. Arthur.

- Seras! I never got a chance to properly thank you for saving me. - The guy jumped up, clearly intending to hug me, but I dodged, and he, not having time to brake, crashed into the wall face first.

- Ouch! Why did you dodge? I just wanted to say thank you. - Arthur complained, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

- I'm not a fan of hugging men. Sorry, - I replied.

- It's okay. Just... thank you. - the man smiled broadly.

- No problem.

- ATTENTION! - a shout rang out, and the soldiers immediately fell into line.

- As most of you know, we've received word of a vampire problem at an abandoned castle 20 kilometers to the west. We'll head there and do what we do best. Any questions?!

- No, sir! - a chorus of voices answered.

- Okay, then meet at the helipad in 10 minutes.

After these words the soldiers dispersed, and since I had everything I needed with me, I went to the helipad, where, by the way, I saw a familiar face.

The man smiled awkwardly at me and quickly ran into the helicopter cabin. I became curious, so I decided to get into the helicopter, which made the soldier shake.

- You were one of those pilots who took me and my master on my first mission, right? Why are you so afraid of me?

"I-I-I…" he tried to say something, but because of fear the words simply wouldn't leave his mouth.

"Whatever you say, just fly smoothly or I'll get mad." I said, stretching lazily and clasping my hands behind my head before closing my eyes.

"Y-yes, ma'am," the soldier answered hesitantly.
