The Saiyan Born In The Void

Three months later:

A single saiyan had been the subject of countless conversations. One that suddenly appeared out of nowhere, conquering Planets by himself. 

Sado had conquered five planets in these three months. Obviously, a young, unknown Saiyan showing up and conquering planets one after another would raise several questions. Naturally, the entirety of Planet Vegeta wanted to ask Sado thousands of questions.

Who was he?

Where did he come from?

How strong is he?

Yet, he was rarely seen. Only once, briefly seen talking to Leeks before disappearing to conquer another planet. Ever since then, he had disappeared, becoming an urban legend. 

Many doubted that he was real, some stating that he was a fake tool to try to regain morale after the failure of Planet Apple. However, the few that knew the truth...Well, to put it bluntly, they had great hope for him.

Hundreds of Galaxies away from Planet Vegeta, in a purple planet with violet skies and orange rocks covering the surface, stood Sado, standing next to his saiyan pod covered head to toe in green blood.

Green blood slid off his hood and black armor as the sight of thousands of dead bug-like creatures surrounded him with various injuries, ranging from bashed-in heads or massive holes in their stubby abdomens. 

Sado reached down, grabbing onto one of the hundreds of spikes sticking out of the bug's body, violently tearing it off before biting into it. 

Sado chewed and swallowed before speaking. " Tastes...Like fish? " 

He glanced down at the bug's spike, surprised, before his red scouter beeped. Sighing, Sado reached up, tapping his scouter. 

"... "

"Hello? " 

A woman's voice suddenly spoke from the scouter, making Sado toss the bug's spike onto the ground, answering. 

" What do you need? I'm busy. " A slight audible gasp escaped the woman's voice as she responded in an irritated voice. 

" There's no need to speak to me like that. King Vegeta has ordered new orders- " Before the woman could finish her sentence, Sado cut in, speaking. 

" Who are you? " 

" ...Tomkia? Have you never spoken to me before? I'm the lead director of the Saiyan Communications?" Asked Tomkia. 

" Nope. Have you ever spoken to me? " 

" No... but you should have heard me announcing Prince Vegeta's birth- "

" I cut it off. " 

A silence engulfed Sado and Tomkia...SCREECH

An ear-deafening screech cried out, and a bug slouched over, covered in green, leaped into the sky, swiping its claws at Sado, whose eyes tracked its movements. 

Sado leaned back, watching the claws narrowly miss his face before his left arm shot out, grabbing onto the bug's abdomen.

In a single violent motion, he slammed the bug onto the ground before stomping on its head, making a loud splat noise ripple out. 

" Clinging onto your life...It is futile without the strength to back it up. " Said Sado, glaring down at the bug before he flung his arm through the air, sending blood flying off it. 

" W-What the hell happened? " Asked Tomika 

" A bug attacked... Also, this planet is conquered. Report that for me. " 

"You're not a well-spoken guy, are you? Fine. What name am I going to log this under? " Said Tomika mumbling something inaudible under her breath as the faint sound of typing escaped into the mic. 

" Sado. " 

"Wait... Sado? Like the one no one has seen? I thought you were just a story? " Said Tomika, her typing pausing. A blank look appeared on Sado's face as he spoke.

" I'm talking to you, ain't I? " 

"Wow. The rumors are true. You ain't much for words, are you? But head to Planet Cereal, I've redirected your path direction from...Planet Apple- To Planet Cereal? Why were you heading to Planet Apple next? " Asked a bewildered Tomika, her voice slightly shaking. 

" ... " Sado didn't respond; a slight, annoyed look appeared on his face before he smacked his lips. Which must have entered into the mic as Tomika quickly spoke.

" I-I'm sorry if I have pissed you off. I was just trying to- " 

" It's not you. " Said Sado, cutting her off.

The sound of blaring engines roared throughout the planet, breaking the silence. A small white and red circular ship descended from the sky with an odd logo plastered onto its hull.

In a flash, the ship landed, and the glass top of the latched opened. A purple soldier wearing a white uniform holding a gun leaped out of the ship, pointing a gun at Sado. 

" Freeze! You're under arrest for the destruction of this planet! " 

Sado reached up, pulling his hood off his head, revealing his spiky hair, as he spun around, glaring at the Galactic Patrol officer with an amused look on his face. 

" O-Oh. You're a saiyan..." The officer's eyes widened, and his hands trembled, making the gun in his hands wobble. Yet, the officer raised his gun, shouting out. 

" Raise your hands! " The officer's voice was shaky, as his heart raced, mentally he was preparing for a fight, but...Oddly, Sado raised his hands. Making the officer stumble on his words.

"Oh...Um? " 

" What? You said raise my hands? " 

The officer quickly nodded at Sado as he walked closer and closer, watching every single movement made by his muscles, but still. Sado's body flickered, and a loud bang rang through the officer's ears. 

His body flew back, slamming into the spaceship, making a large dent in the hull. Blood poured out of the officer's mouth as he looked down at his shattered armor, trying to stand up on his feet while Sado walked towards him. 

He pushed off the spaceship, his body slouching while he weakly pointed his gun at Sado, shouting out. " Stay back! " 

" You know that won't do anything. " Responded Sado, walking closer and closer to the officer who gritted his teeth before his grip loosened and he dropped the gun, letting it rattle onto the ground. 

He collapsed onto his knees, leaning against the ship, watching as Sado stood directly in front of him, glaring down at him. " You were just mocking me. Raising your hands. I've already failed my duty. Hurry up and kill me." 

The officer's words were brave, but it was obvious he was terrified; his eyes were dilated like he was looking at death itself. Sado grinned before he pointed his palm at the officer, who tightly closed his eyes. Mumbling to himself.

" I'm sorry, love. "

The officer waited and waited, yet a painful death didn't happen, making him crack his eyes open. 

" Get in your ship and leave. " Said Sado, pointing at the ship.

"Y-you're just toying with me- " Said the officer gingerly, standing to his feet.

" Nope. Get in your ship. " 

The officer quickly climbed his ship's hull, sweat pouring down his face, as he sat down in his chair, staring at Sado with horrified eyes. Waiting for a blast to shoot through his chest, and yet Sado turned around while the officer turned on his ship, letting the engines blare.

The officer quickly fidgeted with the controls, trying to fly into the air, but Sado's voice abruptly rang out. " Hey! Before you leave. " As soon as the officer heard his voice, his heart sank, waiting for his death, before suddenly, a gun flew over the ship's open lid, landing in his lap.

Sado walked away while speaking. " You forgot this. " 

" T-Thank you... Why? " This sudden question made Sado pause, glancing back at the officer while he continued to speak. 

" When you punched me earlier, you were holding back. I'm a weakling; I know when someone is holding back against me. I'm used to it. You could have killed me with that punch, and you're letting me go? Why? " 

Sado just shrugged and responded. " I don't know. I've never spared someone before. " 

A gasp escaped the officer's lips, and he nervously nodded and was reaching for a large red button before Sado spoke, asking a question. 

" Why do you protect people? " 

" Their eyes. " Said the officer as a flicker of joy escaped through his terrified face. " They are so happy when they see me. It's a warm feeling. Making this cold world a place to... well, enjoy. " 

" I see. " Said Sado, looking back forward as the Galactic Patrol Ship's lid closed and it quickly hovered into the sky, leaving the planet's atmosphere with a massive sonic boom. 

Sado stared up at the violet sky, watching the ship fly through the orangish clouds; his mind was racing with thoughts. Stemming from years ago, in the dark void, he called home. 

The familiar taste of raw fish, the feeling of countless eyes staring at him, hidden in the dark. He let out a low sigh before suddenly a voice spoke.

" You spared him? " Asked Tomika with surprise in her voice. 

" ...You heard that? " Responded Sado with a blank look on his face.

" Yeah? You kind of left your scouter on. " 

" Oh. Then ignore it. " 

Sado reached up to his ear, about to turn off his scouter, but right before he could, Tomika spoke in an oddly happy tone. "You're different from the rumors, I thought you were just a monster like the rest of us saiyans. " 

Sado's fingers twitched before he clicked off his scouter, looking back into the skies, speaking to himself. 

" I get it now. " 

" I couldn't see their eyes... How were they looking at me in that dark? "
