The Saiyan Born In The Void

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Planet Cereal

" Incoming transmission. "

In the darkness of space, sat Sado, boredly staring out of his pod's window. He listened to the transmission message before he reluctantly clicked a button accepting it.

" Why did you cut your scouter off? " The voice coming from the pod's speakers was Tomika's, making Sado sigh while sinking into his chair, letting his knees touch the hull of the pod.

" You talk too much. I was trying to think. " Responded Sado, as his pod flew through a nebula cloud, making him watch the glowing dust almost in awe.

"...I understand. " This pitiful response caught Sado off guard, making him glance down at the ship's controls, staring at a handful of red buttons loosely scattered around the pod.

" Talking isn't a bad thing. However, if you're on the line with me and I'm on a planet, I'd rather your words be more precise. Your words mess with my senses, leaving me open for an attack similar to how that bug tried to attack me. "

Sado reached up, tapping a red button that abruptly shot the pod to a halt. The door slowly latched open, letting the vacuum of space replace the breathable air. Sado slowly stepped out of the pod, standing on top of it, staring at the nebula cloud.

" Why did your pod stop? Did something happen?" Asked Tomika in a concerned voice.

" No. I just stopped to look at some stars.

" I'm sure that little window doesn't- "

" I'm standing on top of the pod. " Tomika didn't respond right away, figuring that Sado was joking, but when he didn't say anything afterwards, she quickly shouted.

" What?! How are you breathing? " A puzzled look crept onto Sado's face as he asked a question.

" Can you not breathe in space? "

" No? Why can you? What do you think the pods are for? "

Instantly, the puzzled look on Sado's face shifted, quickly looking at his veins, staring at them before a single thought ran through his head. "The appleian DNA? "

Sado didn't respond to Tomika staring at his arm until finally Tomika broke the silence, speaking. " What's it like. Space, I mean. "

"Familiar. It's cold. "

" I figure. I would be way too scared to go into space. I'm a useless being after all. When I was born, my power level was only five. "Tomika's voice sounded defeated. Sado scoffed and responded while reboarding his pod

" I can tell. "

" Wow. That's just mean. "

...

After passing countless planets and stars, many weeks flash by before finally a blueish planet comes into view, and a ring ripples out from the pod, making Sado awaken from his sleep.

" Planet Cereal. Landing in two minutes. " The AI voice spoke.

Sado slowly sat up in his seat, turning his head side to side, cracking his neck, as in a flash the pod sliced through the atmosphere, violently crashing into the ground. Sado walked out of the crater made by the pod.

He walked into a massive, dense forest, filled with various strange animals, ignoring these animals. Sado's aura spiked, and he flew into the air, flying high above the white clouds, staring down at a massive city.

Made from stonebricks, towering buildings hundreds of feet tall. The walls were thick and sturdy, and the sight of thousands of pale-skinned, green-haired individuals walking through the street came into his view.

The beeping of his scouter rang out, before Sado gently hummed and tapped his scouter, making the sound of dialing ring out, before a gentle click rang out.

" Hello, this is Tomika. "

" Planet Cereal won't be hard to conquer. " Said Sado, watching as countless children ran through the vast streets playing with each other.

" OH! This is Sado. How many saiyans do you think we'll need? "Sado's eyes narrowed slightly before he responded.

" A platoon or two. "

" Okay. Sorry for the inconvenience, Sado, you were just the closest Saiyan to this planet. "

" It's fine. When are they planning to conquer this Planet? " Asked Sado.

" Umm... " The sound of typing rippled out into the scouter. " Roughly three weeks. "

" I see. " Sado said, descending from the sky, landing on a tree branch, before turning around, leaping from tree top to tree top, heading back towards his pod. Without a further word, Sado cut off his scouter.

He quickly approached his pod, walking casually, before he stopped and looked to his right, staring at a wrinkly green figure smiling at him. Two antennas hung from the man's forehead as he spoke while waving his frail hand.

" Hello there. What brings you to our planet? "

" Scouting. " Responded Sado, grabbing onto the pod's hull, about to enter the pod before the man spoke.

" Oh? Scouting? You must be living here. I never see cerealians with black hair. Are you a mix of two races or something? " Sado tilted his head, confused before he spoke.

" I'm not a cerealian. "

" Huh? " The namekian quickly glanced at the pod before looking back at Sado. Only then did his brain click, and he stumbled back. "Y-You're a saiyan! " He shouted out, holding his hands up.

Sado didn't respond to the namekian, only shaking his head and boarding his pod, sitting on his chair, getting ready to press a button, but before he could, the namekian shouted.

"You're scouting so you can conquer this planet, right?! "

" Yep. "

The namekian could only stare at Sado, stumped. His hands twitched before he asked another question.

" Why haven't you killed me yet? "

" There's no need for me to. " Responded Sado, staring at the namekian boredly.

" T-Then when will y'all invade? "

" Three weeks. " The stumped look on the namekian's face grew as he placed his hands on his hips, shaking his head, confused.

" W-Why are you telling me this? "

" It won't change anything. " Sado leaned to his side, clicking a button, making several beeping noises ring out of the pod. " Your planet is too weak to resist. So, if I were you. I would think of a way to evacuate the planet."

The pod's door closed shut tightly, hovering into the air before shooting up through the sky, flying into outer space, leaving the namekian staring up at the sky.

" Three weeks? " He whispered, before looking back through the forest, walking towards the city, with hurried steps. " I don't know who that saiyan is. I should thank him for warning me... Did he feel bad for us? "

This namekian could only ponder this as he headed towards the massive city...
