THE SECRETS OF CELESTIAN BEYOND THE VEIL

Chapter 10: CHAPTER 10: OLD MEMORIES RESURFACE PART 2 GO HOME AND THINK IT OVER

As the fight continued, Alexandria and Jennifer struggled to hold their ground. However, it was a futile attempt, the demons were able to overpower them.

"Give up, or both of you will die," the demon said with a smile on his face.

"We would rather die than surrender to a filthy creature like you," Alexandria said, defiance in her voice. "So be it then," the demon replied, raising his sword ready to strike down Alexandria.

The demon's sword gleamed in the light, and Jennifer's heart skipped a beat as she realized the gravity of their situation. But before the demon could deliver the final blow, three men dressed in blue appeared out of nowhere and quickly subdued the demons, killing them in an instant.

After dealing with the demons, the three men turned to face Alexandria and Jennifer. "Greetings young ladies, my name is Lysander," one of them said.

"We are members from the Coven of Lock Loopers. Our matriarch, Salina White, would like to speak to you both," Lysander continued, his voice calm and collected.

Alexandria and Jennifer exchanged a wary glance, unsure of what to make of the sudden rescue and the mysterious invitation. "What does Salina White want with us?" Alexandria asked, her voice firm but cautious.

Lysander's expression remained neutral. "We're not at liberty to say," he replied. "But rest assured that she means you no harm. She wishes to speak with you both, and perhaps... offer her assistance."

The words hung in the air, and Jennifer felt a shiver run down her spine.

"Let's go," Alexandria said finally, her voice decisive. "We'll see what Salina White has to say."

Lysander nodded, and the three men led the sisters to the Coven of Lock Loopers. As they walked, Jennifer couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead. What secrets did Salina White hold, and what did she want from them?

As they walked, the cityscape shifted around them, transforming from bustling streets to quieter, more mystical neighborhoods. The buildings seemed to grow taller and more ornate, adorned with symbols and murals that shimmered in the fading light. Jennifer felt a sense of wonder and trepidation as she gazed at the unfamiliar sights.

After a thirty minute walk, they arrived at a large, imposing building with a sign that read "The Locks Loop hotel" in elegant, cursive script.

"Welcome to the Coven," Lysander said, gesturing for the sisters to enter. "Please, follow me."

As they stepped inside, Jennifer felt a strange tingling sensation, as if the very air itself was alive and watching her. She exchanged a nervous glance with Alexandria, who seemed equally uncertain.

They followed Lysander through winding corridors and ornate chambers, each filled with strange and wondrous objects that seemed to defy explanation. Jennifer's curiosity was piqued, but she knew better than to ask questions now.

Finally, they arrived at a large, ornate door adorned with intricate carvings and symbols. Lysander knocked twice, and a soft voice bid them enter.

"Welcome, young ladies," Salina White said, rising from her seat behind a large, ornate desk. "I am Salina White, matriarch of the Coven of Lock Loopers. Please, sit down. We have much to discuss."

Jennifer and Alexandria exchanged a wary glance, but they sat down, their eyes fixed on Salina White. What did she want with them? And what secrets lay hidden behind her enigmatic smile?

"I know you both must be wondering why I asked you to come speak with me," Salina White said with a smile on her face.

"Well, it's simple really," she continued. "I want one of you to take over as the new head of the Coven of Lock Loopers."

Alexandria and Jennifer exchanged a stunned glance. They seemed to be taken aback by the sudden revelation.

"What?" Alexandria asked, her voice incredulous. "Why would you want one of us to take over as head of the Coven?"

Salina White leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with intensity.

"Because I believe that one of you has the potential to be a great leader. You both have shown remarkable strength and determination in the face of danger, and I believe that one of you could bring a fresh perspective to the Coven."

Jennifer's mind was racing. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Take over as head of the Coven? It was a daunting prospect, and she wasn't sure if she was ready for such a responsibility.

"I don't know what to say," Jennifer said, her voice hesitant. "I'm not sure if I'm qualified for such a role."

Salina White's expression remained calm and encouraging.

"I wouldn't have asked if I didn't think you were qualified. I believe that you both have the potential to be great leaders. But I need to know which one of you is willing to take on this challenge."

The room fell silent as the sisters looked at each other, weighing their options.

"What's the catch?" Alexandria asked finally, her voice cautious. "There must be something more to it than just taking over as head of the Coven."

Salina White's smile grew wider.

"Ah, you're perceptive. Yes, there is more to it. But let's discuss the details later. For now, I just want to know if you're interested in the opportunity. There are a lot of good benefits that you can reap from becoming the next head. For instance, those demons that attacked you earlier wouldn't dare to harm the two of you again if they knew you were a part of the Coven of Lock Loopers."

"Since we are on that subject, I need to know something, and I'm hoping you can tell me," Jennifer asked with a frown on her face. "Why were those demons after me, and why did they call me the bride to the Demon King?"

"That's because they're looking for someone with strong magical abilities to be a bride to the Demon King, so they can help him achieve his goals, You know, the usual – power, control, domination." blah blah blah etc etc You know the whole stick," Salina White said, rolling her eyes slightly. "

The room fell silent as the sisters digested this information. Jennifer's eyes widened in understanding, and Alexandria's expression turned thoughtful.

"I see," Jennifer said finally. "So, it's not just about being a bride in the classical sense, but more about using my powers for their gain."

"Exactly," Salina White replied. "And that's why it's crucial for you to be protected. As the head of the Coven of Lock Loopers, you'll have our protection and resources at your disposal. We'll do everything in our power to keep you safe."

"You don't need to make a decision right now," Salina White said, smiling gently. "I will give you a day to think it over. Go home, and think it over carefully."

"Thank you, Salina," Alexandria said, rising from her seat. "We'll definitely take the day to think it over. It's a lot to consider."

Jennifer nodded in agreement. "Yes, thank you for understanding. We'll make sure to weigh our options carefully."

Salina White smiled and nodded. "I understand that this is a big decision. Lysander, please escort our guests home."

Lysander, who had been standing quietly in the corner, stepped forward. "Of course, lady Salina. Right this way, ladies."

The sisters followed Lysander out of the Coven's headquarters, lost in thought as they pondered the weight of Salina's offer. What would they decide? The uncertainty hung in the air as they walked in silence, each lost in their own thoughts.
