Chapter 11: CHAPTER 11: OLD MEMORIES RESURFACE PART 3 HOW OLD DO I LOOK TO YOU
As they arrived home, the sisters went to their respective rooms to think about Salina's offer. Jennifer sat on her bed, staring at the wall as she weighed the pros and cons of becoming the head of the Coven of Lock Loopers. She thought about the protection and resources it would bring, but also the potential risks and responsibilities.
Meanwhile, Alexandria sat in her room, pacing back and forth as she considered the implications of accepting Salina's offer. She thought about how it would affect their lives, their relationship, and their future.
As night fell, Alexandria came to a decision: "I must protect my sister at all costs," she thought to herself. She packed her bag and left the house without anyone noticing she was gone. As she stepped out into the street, she saw Lysander, who looked like he was waiting for her.
"Ah, Alexandria," Lysander said, his eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "I see you've made up your mind. Shall we discuss the details of your sister's protection?"
Alexandria's eyes narrowed slightly. "How did you know I'd be here?" she asked, her voice cautious.
Lysander smiled. "Lady Salina, has been expecting one of you to make a move. She's prepared to offer her full support to the sister who is willing to take the risk."
Alexandria's grip on her bag tightened. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep Jennifer safe," she said, her voice firm.
Lysander nodded. "Very well, then. Let's get started."
Lysander led Alexandria to a sleek black car parked discreetly on the street. "Get in," he said, opening the door for her. "We'll head to a safe house where Salina White is waiting to discuss the details of the plan."
Alexandria hesitated for a moment, unsure if she should trust Lysander. But her determination to protect Jennifer overrode her doubts, and she slid into the passenger seat. Lysander got in beside her and started the engine, pulling away from the curb with a smooth acceleration.
As they drove through the night, Alexandria's mind whirled with questions. What exactly did Salina White have in mind? What kind of protection could the Coven of Lock Loopers offer against the Demon King's minions? And what would happen to Jennifer if she, Alexandria, accepted Salina's offer?
The cityscape blurred by outside the car windows, and Alexandria's thoughts grew more and more turbulent. She was about to take a step into the unknown, one that could change everything. But she was ready. For Jennifer's sake, she was ready.
The car eventually stopped in front of a nondescript warehouse on the outskirts of the city. Lysander turned off the engine and nodded towards the building. "This is the safe house," he said. "Salina White is waiting for us inside."
Alexandria's heart skipped a beat as she stepped out of the car and followed Lysander towards the warehouse. The door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit interior. Salina White stood in the center of the room, her eyes fixed intently on Alexandria.
"Welcome, Alexandria," Salina said, her voice low and measured. "I see you've decided to take the first step towards protecting your sister. I must say, I'm impressed."
Alexandria squared her shoulders, her determination evident in her stance. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep Jennifer safe," she said, her voice firm. "Also, there's one more thing I'd like to ask you. I know there's no such thing as a free lunch in this world. So, what's the catch? Why are you so eager to hand over your position?" Alexandria asked, a look of skepticism written on her face.
Salina just giggled at Alexandria's question. "Well, now let me answer your question with another question. When you look at me, how old do I look to you?" she asked, a smile playing on her lips.
Alexandria pondered for a few seconds. "If I had to guess, I would say you and I are around the same age, about thirty," she said with uncertainty in her voice.
Salina just laughed out loud. "Hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaahah. That's so cute, that you think I'm so young. But I am actually three hundred and ninety-five years old."
Alexandria's eyes widened in shock. "Three hundred and ninety-five years old?" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper. "How is that possible? You've aged incredibly well," she added, trying to process the information.
Salina chuckled. "Let's just say I've had my fair share of... rejuvenating experiences over the centuries. But, as you can imagine, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. There's a price to pay for such longevity. I'm sure you're a little confused, but let me explain."
"Let me tell you a story about a young maiden and her entire family. Back in the year 1630, a beautiful baby girl was born into a viscount family known as the White family. As this young lady grew up, she was thought to be a child prodigy due to her high intelligence. Seeking to make the world a better place, she began to study medicine. Because she wanted to make the world a better place, after many trials and errors, she finally had a breakthrough when she was able to cure an ill man."
"However, as the man got better, instead of thanking the young girl and her family for saving his life, he decided to report them to the Spanish Inquisition for using witchcraft. knowing how the Spanish Inquisition works – false allegations were placed on that entire family, and they were set to be burned at the stake."
Watching her family die in front of her was the hardest thing she ever had to do. At this point in time, the year was 1645, which meant she was only fifteen years old. Accepting her fate, she closed her eyes. But just as the young girl was about to meet her end, a man appeared before her. He told her he could give her the power to get revenge, but it would come at a cost. He told her that the powers he would give to her would basically let her live a very long life; however, she would not be able to die unless she could pass on these powers to someone else, and the person would have to be willing to accept these powers as a gift.
Salina's eyes seemed to glaze over, lost in the memory of her past. "The deal was clear," she continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "I would live for centuries, accumulating power and knowledge. But I would never be able to rest, never be able to truly die, unless I found someone worthy to take my place."
Alexandria's eyes were wide with a mix of fascination and horror. "And you've been living for centuries ever since?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.
Salina nodded, her gaze snapping back to the present. "Yes, I have. And now, I'm offering you a similar chance, Alexandria. But this time, it's not just about power or revenge. It's about protecting your sister and ensuring her safety."
Alexandria's mind was reeling with the implications of Salina's story. She couldn't imagine living for centuries, watching as the world changed around her. But she knew that she would do anything to protect Jennifer. "What do I need to do?" she asked, her voice firm.
Salina just smiled. "In my long, healthy life, I've made a lot of mistakes throughout the years. I made a lot of mistakes, but my greatest ones were creating the Vampiric High Order and the Shadow Wolf Organization. When I first met Ket Shi Kong, a frail and weak girl, I took her under my wing and made her into a vampire. Then, I created the Vampiric High Order and put her in charge. She was to pledge her allegiance to me and serve me, but that bitch decided to rebel against me. In response to that, I created the Shadow Wolf Organization and placed my most trusted subordinate, Rid Kai Yon, as its leader, but of course, he also rebelled against me as well."
"However, the Vampiric High Order and the Shadow Wolf Organization have been secretly fighting amongst each other. What I want you to do is promise me that you will either make them subjugate to you, are you will destroy them both."
Alexandria's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with the implications. "You want me to deal with your own creations, the ones you've been unable to control. Why should I promise you that?" she asked, her voice firm.
Salina's smile grew wider. "Because, Alexandria, if you want to ensure your sister's safety and take my place, you'll need to demonstrate your strength and authority. Can you do that for me? so do you agree to this are not ?"
Alexandria hesitated, weighing her options. She knew that agreeing to Salina's terms would mean taking on a massive responsibility, but she also knew that she had to do whatever it took to protect Jennifer.
"I agree," she said finally, her voice firm. "I'll do whatever it takes to make the Vampiric High Order and the Shadow Wolf Organization submit to me are destroy them both."
