THE SECRETS OF CELESTIAN BEYOND THE VEIL

Chapter 12: CHAPTER 12: OLD MEMORIES RESURFACE PART 4 A PROMISE FROM LONG AGO

Salina just smiled again. "There is one more thing you need to do," she said, then snapped her fingers. Shortly After five people appeared, carrying someone with a bag over their head, they dropped the person in front of Alexandria. Alexandra walked forward and removed the bag from the person's head. She was instantly stunned to see that it was her sister, Jennifer, with blood running down the side of her face.

"What's the meaning of this? Why... why is my sister being treated in this manner?" Alexandria demanded, her voice filled with frustration. "I brought her here because you need to prove that you can be cruel and vicious when you need to be," Salina replied, her voice cool and detached. "You have three options. The first one would be to kill your sister, and you will have no emotional attachments left. Your second option is to cut all ties with your sister from this point onward and never speak to her again. Your third option would be to erase all of your sister's good memories of you; she will only remember the bad stuff, but you would still be able to keep her safe from a distance. Make your choice; you have ten minutes."

"Alexandria, please don't do this," Jennifer said, tears streaming down her face. "These people are evil; they killed mother and father. You're all I have left. Please don't listen to them."

Alexandria turned to face Salina, her eyes turning bloodshot. "Is it true? Are my parents really dead? Did you kill them?" she asked, her voice shaking with rage.

"Yes, what's your sister said is true," Salina replied, her expression unyielding. "As I said, you have three options. Make your choice."

Alexandria took a deep breath, her mind racing with the impossible choices before her. "Very well, I will choose to erase her memories," she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper.

Salina nodded, a hint of approval in her expression. "Very well, let it be done," she said, snapping her fingers once more.

The five people who had brought Jennifer forward stepped forward again, this time carrying out Salina's orders. They began to chant and perform a dark ritual, their voices low and ominous. Alexandria watched in horror as they worked their magic, her heart heavy with the weight of her decision.

As the ritual progressed, Jennifer's eyes began to glaze over, and her memories of Alexandria began to distort. She looked at her sister with a growing sense of anger and resentment, her expression twisted in disgust.

When the ritual was complete, Salina nodded in satisfaction. "It's done," she said. "Your sister will now only remember the bad things about you. She will hate you, despise you, and see you as a monster. But the ritual is not perfect; eventually, she will regain all of her memories, and she will come to understand why you did what you had to do."

Alexandria felt a pang of sadness and loss as she looked at her sister. She knew that their relationship was irreparably damaged, at least for the time being. Tears streamed down Jennifer's face as she glared at Alexandria, her voice filled with venom.

"I hate you," Jennifer spat, her words cutting deep into Alexandria's heart. "I despise everything about you. You're cruel, heartless, and manipulative. I don't know how I ever thought you were my sister."

Alexandria's eyes welled up with tears as she listened to Jennifer's words. She knew that she had made a terrible choice, one that would haunt her for a long time. But she held onto the hope that one day, Jennifer would understand her reasons and forgive her.

One of the five people stepped forward, and with a swift motion, put Jennifer to sleep, injecting her with a sedative. She slumped forward, unconscious, and the group carefully lifted her and carried her away. Alexandria watched, tears streaming down her face, as her sister was taken from her.

Just then, Jennifer woke up in the infirmary at the headquarters of the League of Enders. "Were those memories of the past?" she thought to herself. "I need to find my sister. I have to find Alexandria, she needs to know I remember everything." She said, getting out of bed, but as soon as she stood up, she collapsed to the floor due to her injuries. The alarms in her room went off, alerting everyone to what had happened.

The medical team rushed in, surrounding Jennifer and assessing her condition. "We need to stabilize her," one of the medics said, quickly administering treatment. Jennifer's eyes fluttered, and she weakly whispered, "Alexandria..." before losing consciousness again.

Joss rushed to Jennifer's side, concern etched on her face. "Mom, can you hear me?" she asked, taking Jennifer's hand in hers. Jennifer's eyes fluttered weakly, and Joss's grip on her hand tightened. "Don't worry, Mom, I'm here. You're going to be okay." The medical team worked around her, trying to stabilize Jennifer's condition. Joss's eyes locked onto her mother's face, filled with worry and love.

Jennifer weakly whispered through Joss, "Get Gus... tell him to find Alexandria... tell him please do not hurt her." Joss's eyes widened with concern as she nodded, understanding the urgency in her mother's voice. "I'll get Gus, Mom. I'll tell him. Don't worry, I'll make sure he knows." Joss quickly got up and rushed out of the room to find Gus, determined to carry out her mother's plea.

Meanwhile, in one of the warehouses of the coven of lock-loopers, Alexandria sat on her obsidian throne, thinking of the past. A single tear slid down her face.

One of her subordinate stood before her, awaiting her attention.

"Your Holiness," he began, "Rid Kai Yon has arrived. He requests an audience with you."

Alexandria's gaze snapped back into focus, her expression unreadable. "Bring him before me," she commanded, her voice steady and calm.

The subordinate bowed and swiftly departed to fetch Rid Kai Yon. Alexandria's eyes narrowed slightly, her mind racing because she was about to fulfill half of a promise she had made long ago.
