THE SECRETS OF CELESTIAN BEYOND THE VEIL

Chapter 6: CHAPTER 6: YOU HAVE BEEN ISSUED A GAG ORDER

"Dear sister, you got careless. Even a hornet knows not to enter a bee hive without being prepared to die. But don't worry, you won't die.... Your friends will reach you in time to save your life."

Alexandria said, removing her hand from Jennifer's gut and shaking off the blood.

"You...you're...going...to...pay... You..... Bi*th," Jennifer gasped, her voice barely audible.

"I'm shaking in my boots, dear sister," Alexandria said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "You know, you may hate me for abandoning you, but I did it to protect you."

Jennifer fell to the ground, blood flowing from her mouth as she struggled to breathe. She gazed up at Alexandria, her eyes filled with a mix of shock, pain, and sadness mixed with anger.

The sound of hurried footsteps could be heard rushing into the destroyed café. "This is the Celestian Police Department, everyone put your hands up!" Alexandria's eyes flicked towards the police, a mixture of annoyance and amusement crossing her face. She slowly raised her hands, a sly smile spreading across her lips.

The police officers rushed forward, surrounding Alexandria and Jennifer. One of them knelt beside Jennifer, assessing her injuries. "We need to get her to the hospital, now! Get some EMTs out here ASAP!" Captain Jude Larcan exclaimed.

One of the officers approached Alexandria, handcuffs and a gun pointed at her head. His name was Koan Simpson. "You're coming with us," he said, his voice firm. "You're under arrest for assault and attempted murder."

Alexandria started walking away, ignoring Officer Simpson. "Hey! Don't move, I said you're under arrest!" Officer Simpson said.

"Oh, you're so cute. But I think you should focus on saving my sister's life. If she dies due to your neglect of her, I'll personally fine you and kill you myself," Alexandria said with a cold tone of voice.

Threatening the life of a police officer is a very serious crime, Officer Simpson said, but before he could move to handcuff her, Alexandria was gone.

After Alexandria disappeared, Officer Simpson turned to Captain Larcan, looking confused. "Captain, she's gone. I didn't see where she went, sir," he said.

Captain Larcan's expression was grim. "Useless, all of you! I can't believe five of you are standing here, and didn't see when our suspect got away. Koan, bring your ass over here and help me keep this woman alive."

"Stay with us, ma'am," Captain Larcan urged Jennifer, his voice filled with concern. "We're going to get you the help you need. Where are those EMTs?" Captain Larcan shouted in frustration. "Get them here now!"

Just then, a helicopter appeared, and four people dressed in black jumped out. They were members of the League of Enders: Gus Benton, Jack Wolfect, Tatana Wolfect, and Joss Griffith, Jennifer's daughter.

"Who are you people?" Officer Simpson asked, his voice agitated. "Can't you see this is a crime scene? Leave before we arrest you."

Gus Benton's expression turned stern. "You are not qualified to know who we are. Step aside, boy, before you lose your job."

Just then, Captain Larcan's phone started ringing. He hesitated before answering, seeing that it was the police commissioner. Before he could get a word out, the commissioner spoke.

"Hello, Captain Larcan. Don't speak, just listen. There are people who will be showing up your crime scene. Give them what they want without question."

The commissioner hung up the phone before Captain Larcan could respond. Captain Larcan looked at Officer Simpson and nodded towards the League of Enders. "Let them through, Koan. We need to follow orders."

"Thank you for helping her, Captain Larcan of the CPD, you have done us a great service, I will not forget this."

Gus Benton said as he nodded at Captain Larcan and turned to his team."

"Let's get her back to the infirmary," he said, referring to Jennifer.

The League of Enders team quickly sprang into action, carefully loading Jennifer onto a stretcher and preparing her for transport.

Joss Griffith, Jennifer's daughter, stayed by her mother's side, holding her hand and talking softly to her. "Mom, hang in there. We're going to get you the help you need."

Gus Benton and the rest of the team worked efficiently to get Jennifer stabilized and ready for transport. They carefully lifted her into the helicopter, and Joss climbed in beside her.

"Let's move out," Gus said, his voice firm and commanding. The helicopter lifted off, soaring into the sky as the League of Enders team rushed Jennifer to the safety of their own medical facility.

The Captain's phone rang again, and he answered, smiling. "Hello, Commissioner. I did as you instructed."

"That's good news, Captain," the Commissioner replied. "I believe there's a Chief Superintendent opening within your precinct. I'm nominating you for the role."

Captain Larcan's smile grew wider as he listened to the Commissioner's words. "Thank you, Commissioner. I'm honored."

"But there's one more thing, Captain," the Commissioner continued, his tone turning serious. "Everything that you and your men saw today, forget it ever happened. This is a gag order. If you divulge anything that happened today, your heads will roll."

The Commissioner's words sent a chill down Captain Larcan's spine. He knew that the Commissioner was not one to be trifled with, and he nodded in understanding, even though the Commissioner couldn't see him. "Understood, Commissioner."

The Commissioner hung up the phone again, leaving Captain Larcan with a sense of unease and a clear understanding of the gravity of the situation.

"Hey, Captain, who were those people? Are they some kinda special forces or something? I've got to tell my friends about this," Officer Simpson said, still acting in confusion.

The captain's face turned red with anger, and he slapped Officer Simpson across the face three times. "You don't talk about this, you don't ask questions," Captain Larcan growled. "You heard the commissioner. This is a gag order. You keep your mouth shut, and you don't breathe a word about this situation. Got it?"

Officer Simpson's eyes welled up with tears as he stumbled backward, clutching his face. "Captain, why did you hit me?" he asked, his voice shaking.

The captain's expression was cold and unforgiving. "Now you listen here, you fucking idiot. You do as you're told, and you keep your mouth shut. This isn't a game, and you're not some kind of gossip columnist. You're a police officer, and you'll follow orders. Do you understand?"

Officer Simpson nodded, still wincing in pain, and the captain's expression didn't change. "Good. Now get back to work, and don't forget what I said. Not a word about this to anyone."
