The Seventh Base

Chapter 153: No One Can Escape (Part 2)

Camp Star is done for!

For himself, and for his family on Camp Star, he chose to surrender.

"Deactivate all warship energy, open the hatches, and have everyone except those controlling the warships leave and come to my flagship," Xu Mo ordered. It seemed this Commander was a coward.

As the Warship Commander on the planet, Nolan must hold a high position in the military. Such a figure should possess the iron will of a soldier, and he was prepared to destroy all six warships.

But unexpectedly, the opposing side chose to surrender.

However, they still needed to be cautious when taking over the warships, leaving nothing to chance by first controlling all key personnel before assuming control of the ships.

This time around, their main forces not only have warships but also many trained personnel, who were prepared to take over the warships before setting off.

They would be the Hunters in space.

On the ground of Camp Star, in the command room, the signal abruptly broke off, plunging the entire command room into deathly silence.

They were very aware of what losing contact meant.

Just moments ago, they were warning the fleet not to continue the pursuit and ordered a retreat.

The next moment, the fleet lost contact.

The six warships that set out were ambushed.

They feared the worst.

They had already informed the Star System Alliance about the ambush, but the incident happened so suddenly that even if the Alliance's fleet rushed in, it would take time—they couldn't possibly make it in time for the rescue. How did the Mandala Star fleet bypass their detectors?

"Initiate Level One alert, activate all military forces, turn on all anti-aircraft weapons, and have all warships, fighter jets, and armed personnel enter combat readiness," the command issued an order, "Inform the President's Mansion to relocate immediately."

The President's Mansion issued an order for the people to take shelter. Suddenly, the entire Camp Star was shocked, and everyone was bewildered.

Take shelter?

Is Mandala Star attacking their planet?

And all of this happened so suddenly, paralyzing Camp Star's order in an instant.

Amid the chaos outside, the signal in the command center was restored.

"Calling Command Center," a voice came through, causing the people in the command room to tremble—was nothing wrong?

"General Nolan, what just happened?" a commander standing in the command room asked.

"Mandala Star warships have jamming capabilities. We have already lost two warships and are now returning to base, requesting reinforcements," Nolan responded.

"Ambushed?"

"Yes, there was another Mandala Star warship hidden in space, which led to the destruction of our two warships. However, our fleet also severely damaged a Mandala Star warship," Nolan replied. While the conversation continued, someone in the command center said, "Commander, only four warships are returning."

The people in the command room breathed a sigh of relief. Although they lost two warships, it was still better than they anticipated. They thought they might be wiped out entirely this time.

Fortunately, the invading fleet from Mandala Star wasn't strong this time, consisting of only two warships, and hence needed to employ ambush tactics.

Had they experienced the previous annihilation battle with the Black God Fleet's alliance, they might not have thought so.

The previous battle took place in space outside Byron Star, and only those involved knew how they were wiped out and captured. Even the Black God Fleet headquarters and their side on Camp Star were not aware of the battle's details.

The siege battle blocked all signals, and no messages were leaked.

"The warships have returned to within the planet," a voice from the command room came through again, allowing everyone to breathe a sigh of relief, as they still had four warships.

They still possessed the military strength of ten warships, whereas Mandala Star had only two warships, so any conflict could only result in raids—they couldn't possibly invade Camp Star.

Soon, the President's Mansion also received the news. The Camp Star President, who was preparing to evacuate, canceled the evacuation and ordered contact with the Star System Alliance for assistance. Even though Mandala Star only had two warships, they still felt an immense threat.

In the high skies, four warships were returning when suddenly the command center was blasted with a piercing alarm.

"What's going on?" the commander asked in a deep voice.

"Energy lock-on!" someone said in horror, "General Nolan's warship has locked onto us."

His voice seemed tinged with disbelief.

The command center, locked on by its own fleet?

"Attack them," the commander ordered, his face drastically changing as if realizing something, but it was too late.

In an instant, the four warships in the sky simultaneously opened fire, four brilliant laser beams piercing through the heavens.

Among them, the laser cannon of Nolan's flagship directly targeted the command center.

Meanwhile, the other three warships targeted the President's Mansion and two major military bases.

Four beams fell.

The people inside the command center could clearly see through the screens as the beams headed straight for them, despair filling their eyes. Though there were numerous anti-aircraft weapons around the command center, it was too late to react—they hadn't anticipated an attack from their warships.

"Boom..."

The specially constructed defense building was penetrated instantly, and the command center was destroyed, reduced to dust.

The President's Mansion was no different, as a beam struck it directly, leveling it instantly.

In the distance, many on Camp Star witnessed this scene—it seemed to be the location of the President's Mansion.

The President's Mansion, bombed flat by its fleet?

They couldn't believe their own eyes.

The two major military bases were simultaneously critically damaged, precisely locked on and targeted, shot with unerring accuracy because it was their own people who knew the locations best.

Without the President's Mansion and the command center, Camp Star's warships, fighter jets, and armed forces were stunned.

But soon, they reacted, firing frantically at the fleet in the sky.

The fleet in the sky once again fired laser beams, meeting the ground forces head-on. High above, a vast fleet emerged, yet this time Mandala Star's main warship did not appear—all were Black God Fleet warships, blotting out the sky.

Seeing over a dozen warships appear at once, the people of Camp Star were utterly dumbfounded, watching in despair—even those in the warships and fighter jets felt the overwhelming despair.

Camp Star, is done for.

After these ships emerged, they immediately launched a sweeping bombardment of Camp Star's major military bases, directly eliminating the ground anti-aircraft forces.

Two warships fired madly but were besieged in an instant, exploding in the sky.

After the third warship was destroyed, the other three chose to surrender. With the President's Mansion and command center wiped out, dying in battle seemed meaningless.

One hour later.

The capital of Camp Star was in ruins everywhere; the armed forces had been completely eradicated. Warships were either destroyed or taken over and carried away.

The President's Mansion was destroyed, and the Federation President along with the officials of the President's Mansion perished on the spot.

On the ruins, several mechas landed, gazing at the leveled President's Mansion before them.

"Was it Mandala Star?"

"No, it was the Black God Fleet."

"The pirate fleet, destroying Camp Star?"

The people beside them seemed unable to believe it all.

The pirate fleet? This affair is likely not that simple.

In space, a fleet of twenty-one warships sailed through the universe, heading out of this Star Domain.

This action would surely alarm the Star System Alliance. After taking Camp Star, they did not linger for long, nor did they have time to resupply, and retreated directly, not allowing themselves to be cornered by the Alliance Army of the Star System Alliance.

Inside the Sword Battleship, Xu Mo gazed into the vast universe, thinking that being an interstellar thief really paid off. At such a plundering speed, if they continued, they could probably assemble a Super Fleet of over a hundred warships.

However, there aren't that many planets to supply their looting. They can't possibly rob all the Star System Alliance members like Mandala Star, can they?

But Camp Star, Krusu Star, and Lancelot Star, none of them should expect to get away!
